Dean and Chris were very friendly and answered any questions I had. The job had to be split over four days so that we had access to our home. They hauled away our old wooden decks and cleaned up when finished. Dean repeatedly apologized for the delay starting the job due to the weather but we were aware that all the rain could cause a delay so it wasn't a problem.

Dean came out on July 4th and gave me a excellent quote for replacement of driveway. He said it would be 6 to 8 weeks as this was their busy period. He showed up with his son Chris on 9/09 and they both went right to work. They did not fool around and knew; exactly what they were doing. They had the old concrete removed before end of 1st day and had everything ready for the concrete trucks to deliver the next day. They worked hard and had everything done by the end of the second day and ready to walk on the 3rd day. This father and son work great together and I would hire them again without question. The quality of the work was very poor. We went with them because their bid was low and they were able to do the job in the time in which we needed the work done. There was a big crack at the bottom of the steps where it joins the apron off the garage. One side was not even finished. They left a big glob of concrete. The work was of poor quality. They were not responsive when I asked them to come back to repair the concrete.

We are so happy we chose CD& Son Concrete. They were very professional and easy to work with. We weren't expecting to be able to have our patio installed until mid-August but were pleasantly surprised when we received a call from Chris letting us know they would be able to come out two weeks sooner! There were a couple of small modifications we wanted to make from our original bid and they accommodated them with no problems. They kept a clean job site and the quality of their work is excellent. I come from a customer service background and have very high expectations for great service and my expectations were not only met, they were exceeded. Great job CD & Son, we are beyond pleased with the end product and would definitely recommend your services to friends and family!

I really like the patio and the way it looks. However, there are so many things that I need to do to clean up the mess. There was concrete splashed up on the door and windows which I need to scrap off. When they put the board as a frame to pour the concrete when the boards were removed, it left a trench around the patio that I need to fill with dirt and grass seed after I put up all the concrete stones. Then I found a spot of died grass in front where they spilled the concrete and killed the grass and did not tell me about it.

I spent thirty years in the construction industry as a custom cabinetmaker. I am retired now, but when I ran my business I was always at the shop or job-site working along side my employees. My constant presence insured that each project had high quality workmanship. For our new patio, I did all the site preparation, form work, and wire reinforcement installation, but I am smart enough to know that if you want a good looking patio, you have to hire proffessionals to do the actual pour and finish of the concrete. When I began searching for a company to pour and finish our patio, I looked for a company that had the owner on site working just as I always was. I found that company in DC and Son Concrete Inc.. Dean and his son Chris were easy to work with and they met my high expectations. Thanks Dean and Chris!

I contacted CD & son about mid May and they came out and gave me a quote on replacing my front porch. I got a couple more quotes from other contractors and gave CD & son a call a couple of weeks later and had a couple more questions for them and they answered my questions. I decided to go with CD & son and they told me that all I needed to do was fax in the estimate that they had provided and that they were about 4 weeks out before they may have a chance to do the job. I faxed the estimate to them with a note asking them to please bring proof of insurance with them when they start the job. After about 3 weeks I contacted CD & son on 6/17/14 and left them a voice mail asking them if they were close to scheduling my job and I never received a call back from them. Not knowing if they had forgotten to call me back or did not receive my message I called them back a week later on 6/24/14 and left them another message asking them if they were still interested in the job and for them to call me back and I still have not received a call back. I understand that they may be busy but I do not understand not calling someone back. The only thing I can think of is that they are not able to provide proof of insurance. If I was going to go with this company then I would suggest that anyone who decides to use them to make sure they are insured before going with them. I would hope that any contractor would understand that a home owner has to look out for their home.

Owner Dean Bradshow & his son did an excellent job. We described what we wanted and they understood it. Dean gave us an immediate, reasonable quote and he worked with us on an additional change. We were flexible, and when an unexpected opening occurred in their schedule, they came out and got the job done earlier than planned. Looks great, we will definitely have them do more work for us in the future.

Everything went beautifully. They showed up on time, took less time than I expected and did a great job. The sidewalk looks really good. They left the area in better shape than they found it. We are very pleased. So pleased that we asked for an estimate for doing our patio.Very nice people!

These guys did an amazing job! From start to finish, they we super professional, and so nice! They do amazing work, and the finished product was even better than we expected! Their price is beyond reasonable for what you get, and they don't outsource the work, so you know exactly what you're getting! We could not be happier with our new patio, and would highly recommend them for any job you're thinking of having done! We are considering another walkway with a patio extension, and I will definitely have them on speed dial:-)

This father/son team are first class; great people with great work ethic doing great work. I highly recommend them for any of your concrete needs and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again if needed.

Even though the spring weather delayed the project due to rain, as soon as everything was dry they came out and in 2 days had everything completed. It looks great and I would recommend them to others.

We had a stamped concrete slab poured for a hot tub. They were easy to work with, all work was done in 2 days and stamping was beautiful. They did a great job and we would definitely use them again in the future.

They were pretty good but they were expensive. They worked independently. In other words, I didn't need to hold their hand. I told them exactly what was needed and they did it exactly like I said.

CD & Sons did a very good job. They didn't mind that I was onsite as I watched the entire project. Parts of our drive and sidewalk were cracked and looking very damaged. They did a very good job of cutting out those areas and explaining how the original concrete was not poured to the correct height and showed me how it was being corrected. When the concrete was delivered, they explained to me that it was too wet which had zeroed out the drying agent. The schedule was shifted because of this so I appreciated immediately knowing how much longer the project would take and the reason for it. When the concrete was poured and dried, they caulked and sealed the driveway to prevent further water damage. It was helpful that they showed me how the water had been entering and damaging the original concrete and knowing why the caulking was so significant. They also took the time to explain to me about the different types of sealants, and why this one was better for our driveway as well as how often it should be done in the future.

It went well. They tore out the old concrete walk and stair and then poured the concrete. It looks great and they were very nice people as well.

The contractor showed up as scheduled and gave us an estimate of the work. We had checked with several other contractors but selected CD&Son due to the price, availability, and because he is a local contractor. We changed our mind a couple of times about what we wanted and CD&Son was gracious to provide revised estimates. They showed up, as scheduled, and built the patio. We were going to have a standard concrete patio, but decided to go with a slate, colored finish. CD&Son was very customer oriented and gave us exactly what we wanted. The patio turned out beautiful and we are very happy customers. I would recommend CD&Son to anyone. We will have they back to do more work in the future.

The price was reasonable, they were on time, and they did a good job. We were satisfied.

This contractor was very patient--he discovered serious challenges in removing the old concrete, such excessive use of rebar and depths of concrete up to 9", far exceeding the norm. He just put in the extra hours in order to finish the job in a timely fashion.

We were pleased with the price and pleased with their work.

Everything was done exactly as we wanted and broom-finished and sealed.

We're hoping to move forward with a new stamped patio in the near future and without a doubt would recommend CD & Son Concrete for anyone looking to expand their outdoor living space!
