We had more than 10 product issues on cabinets, including wrong sizes, damaged parts, wrong color, wrong finishes, missing runner rails, missing utensil organizer, missing tray divider, missing toe shoe matching kit, etc. Plus, customer service cheated me on a shipping problem. For our replacement order for a wrong colored cabinet (suppose to be Arlington but first came in with Teaberry), Decora did not provide the phone number for UPS, so UPS cannot make a delivery appointment, resulting a 6 day delay for our replacement order. Decora failed to take responsibility for it, and went so far to provide me a second Bill of Lading (BOL) and manually put a phone number there, at a much later time. UPS provided me with the original BOL which shows clearly that the phone number was missing when the cabinet was shipped. The UPS Freight PRO number is 918160051. I have all the documents/emails available upon you request. Sales rep from Decora mislead us in a couple of products. We paid full price for higher end products for a Lazy Susan, two Spice Racks and ended up with much cheaper version of the products. We've asked for refund or exchanges, but to no success. I have all the pictures taken to back up the claims if it is necessary. This kind of evil company should be put out of business so it does not hurt innocent people like us any more.
Description of Work: We purchased about 25 cabinets and accessories from Decora Cabinets, a child company of Master Brand Cabinets. We encountered more than 10 product issues, plus delivery issues, and misleading sales practice. We paid a lot money for these cabinets only to be flooded with problems and headaches. We had asked for 50% refund since we got a big discount on product and service, but to date, we have not got a penny back yet.

Response from MASTERBRAND CABINETS INC
(Member) ordered his cabinets through an independent authorized dealer of Decora products. Decora is a division of MasterBrand Cabinets, Inc. (“MBCI”) and does not directly sell or distribute its products to consumers. All cabinetry design, pricing, and order compilation is completed by the independent dealer. The dealer submits an order to MBCI, MBCI manufactures and ships the order as directed by the dealer. Ultimately, the dealer enters into two transactions for the purposes of a consumer sale: (i) one with its customer the consumer purchaser of the cabinetry; and (ii) a second with MBCI the manufacturer of the cabinetry. As a result, MBCI is not a party to the transaction (Member) entered into and negotiated with the independent dealer. If the homeowners expected to receive cabinets that were different from those ordered by their dealer, then MBCI believes that to have been the result of a communication or design error between the independent dealer and (Member) and should be resolved between those parties. MBCI acknowledges that some of the cabinetry items were damaged at some point during the shipping process. Unfortunately, when multiple parties are involved in the transportation and delivery of our products, damage can occur: whether during the transport; unloading; or even unboxing phases of the delivery. MBCI has honored its product warranty and has provided replacements for all damaged items. MBCI also acknowledges a cutlery tray divider was shipped built to the wrong dimensions. This was a result of an error in our ordering system that provides sizing information to our production floor. This error was inadvertent and was corrected and the correct item sent to (Member). As to the referenced shipping problem, the UPS bill of lading consists of two pages; one page which contains a phone number, one page does not. (Member) was not sent both pages by UPS and that resulted in confusion in the present information. UPS freight can confirm this information if necessary. As a result of the foregoing, MBCI believes that (Member) and Ms. (Member)’s remaining issues stem from the design of the kitchen and accordingly, should be addressed directly to the independent dealer. MBCI therefore denies the request for a partial refund and fully believes that it has provided quality product and performed under its warranty in all applicable instances.
