Description of Work: They moved an entire house. It seemed okay on that exhausting day, but since then I found that their boxes were typically mislabeled and nearly half were put in the wrong place. Things like the glass shelves in my breakfront have not been found, and idid find two windows they broke. A decent day to move a lot of stuff, but the aftermath is brutal.

Description of Work: They did not do a background check on all their workers. And hey kept asking me if they could have things that we owned. Furniture was damaged in the move but we did not notice until it was too late. They totally messed up our entertainment center. And the workers they hired on the Florida side were lazy and under qualified.

Description of Work: Moved my household goods from California to New Jersey. Although we donated a few that was included in the original estimate when they arrived ourv final bill was slightly lower indicating the accuracy of estimate. Nothing was damaged and the crew covered all floors and Bannister's and quickled assembled all tables.

Description of Work: This was a personal move from Washington to Utah and while the project started well, it was a very unpleasant experience. I had goods placed in storage while our home was being built and several pieces of furniture were damaged during that time. The movers miscalculated the monthly charges and it took several contentious phone calls to resolve the matter. When our house was completed, I verified a delivery schedule with them but they were unable to get a driver and my delivery was delayed three weeks. I was told by the driver that she personally refused this assignment three times because it was not worth the money. Wheaton did pay the contractual delayed delivery charges but this was just another item adding to the frustration of dealing with them. When our household goods finally arrived, the crew they hired to unload was very inexperienced and unprofessional. Included in the group was one worker with a broken hand and two teenage sons of the crew chief. They were late to arrive because that had no vehicle of their own. There was no major damage to our new home but they dented a few walls and chipped the paint. They were unable to set up the beds and it took me several hours to correct the work they had done attaching headboards to bed frames. I am not planning to move again but I will never use Wheaton, and will discourage others from using them as well.

Description of Work: They were in a very big hurry to clear out the house. They did not wrap any furniture. I specified at time of hiring that all upholstered furniture was to be shrink wrapped. Never happened.

Description of Work: We signed up with a franchisee, Capital City Moving, out of Madison, Wisconsin to discuss our move. The agent was rude and dismissive. She also had a very bad habit of following around our teenage son who was trying to get dressed. | |I tried to discuss the situation with management, but no one from Capital City would ever return my call. | |Based upon the service we received, I doubt they do much work outside of corporate moves where the folks being moved have no choice.
