Description of Work: My washing machine is only 1 1/2 years old and the spin cycle quite working. Tony (repairman) thought he had diagnosed problem and manufacturer was going to pay part of repair. Turned out this wasn't the problem, and Tony not only figured out what was wrong, but also got manufacturer to declare part was defective and cover the bill.

 + -1 moreI placed a service call late afternoon on Saturday and a technician was scheduled for Monday between 9-11am. The service tech showed up within the time frame promised and was neatly dressed in uniform. He examined the dryer and informed me that my blower needed replacement. In addition to replacing the blower, he also vacuumed the dryer. The price quoted was the final price minus a $10 Angie's List coupon. The job was completed in about 30 minutes. The tech, Tony, was friendly and polite. He left the work area clean and in order. I would definitely hire them again.
Description of Work: The technician repaired a clothes dryer which was making a loud thumping noise at start up. The impeller blower was replaced and the dryer was vacuumed.

 + -1 moreOffice staff and technician were friendly and professional; and the final charge ended up being less than his initial estimate - a pleasant surprise. We were given a 2 hour window for each appointment and Tim arrived within the first 30-40 minutes of each appointment. He called ahead both times to say he was on his way. Each appt. only took 15-20 minutes. He also gave us tips on the best way to run our dishwasher which were very helpful. The only negative was that his office didn't call us back to schedule his follow-up appt. When I called to inquire, she apologized for the oversight and made sure that he could still come on the day we had agreed on.
Description of Work: Came on a Thursday and diagnosed that refrigerator wasn't cooling due to blocked drain in freezer interfering with self-defrost cycle. Advised that we should unplug refrigerator and allow approx. 24 hrs. for complete defrosting of built up ice that was blocking drain. Also checked leaking dishwasher. Found that gasket was getting cracked & brittle and vent was clogged with soap residue. Advised that he would have to order new gasket and would have office call me to schedule return appointment. Returned on Saturday and made sure the drain on the refrigerator was clear after our defrosting; also installed the new gasket for the dishwasher and cleaned out the clogged vent. He also put a cleaning solution in the dishwasher and asked that we let it run a full cycle to help clean out the built up soap residue.

Description of Work: THE COMPRESSOR ON OUR SIDE BY SIDE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. WE CALLED THEM ON FRIDAY AT 11 AM AND THEY SENT SOMEONE OUT THAT AFTERNOON. HE RETURNED THE FOLLOWING AFTER NOON AND PUT THE NEW COMPRESSOR IN. THE SERVICEMAN WAS VERY NICE AND HAD A DIFFICULT TIME BUT WAS ALWAYS PLEASANT.

 + -1 moreOur technician, Tracy, called before he arrived, as promised. He was exactly on time and was able to come after work, which was very helpful to us. He quickly diagnosed that the "agitator dogs" had worn out. He replaced them in a short amount of time and the washing machine is working perfectly again. He was pleasant, neat, and knowledgeable. Their prices seemed high, but they did honor the $10.00 off coupon we had as Angie's List members. I did not get any additional quotes, so prices may be industry standards. I would definitely hire them again. Our machine is a Whirlpool.
Description of Work: Turner came out the day after we called them to fix our washing machine. It had stopped agitating.

Description of Work: Dishwasher was not draining. The serviceman took the entire inside of the dishwasher apart, but determined it was the pump. I elected to purchase a new unit rather than repairing the old one.

He did a good job of explaining what would happen and gave me options along with his recommendation for the quickest way to take care of the problem. He was extremely conscientious. The scheduling process was easy. I felt like everyone at the company cared about me and my repair issue.
Description of Work: My refrigerator was not getting cool enough. The repairman (I can't remember his name - sorry!) replaced a heating element that defrosts the cooling elements in the back of the refrigerator.

I think this was the very best experience I have had from a service company. They had the part in their warehouse, there was no wait to order. The repair was completed the very next day.

Description of Work: Maytag dishwasher was not cleaning dishes. Turner repairman discovered that the filter was clogged with debris. He cleaned filter, which corrected the problem. He also discovered that the detergent cup was not operating properly (I had noticed it did not always open, but had not reported it to him). He discovered that a spring in the detergent cup mechanism was corroded and dysfunctional. He ordered the part, and installed it a couple of days later. The machine has been working beautifully ever since.

 + -1 moreWe got this company recommended from LGE as their local service rep. When we contacted them initially they responded quickly, communicated well when the date needed to be changed and sent a technician on time. Unfortunately though he only came to pick up the serial # etc. and did not really understand the fridge. For weeks afterwards we tried to get him back to repair the unit, LGE contacted them directly multiple times, set up a service call and even provided details of the technical service hotline so that they could get support while working on the unit. The answers we got when calling Turner Appl. was that they needed to talk to the technician or did not know and needed to find out and that the technician would get back to us, which never happened. After over a month now we are giving up on them.
Description of Work: LGE two door fridge/freezer with build-in monitor. The monitor did not work properly and needed repair.

Since the unit needed to defrost totally, Gary made arrangements to return the next day and install part. Gary arrived on time and had it repaired in less than 30 minutes This is the second time we have used Turner Appliance Repair - they are excellent!
Description of Work: Auto defrost component failed, freezer totally ''frosted'' up so no cold air going to the refrigerator section.
