Turner Appliance

They came out in three trips and still not very satisfied. First trip was to diagnose, second (a week later) to install, third because I still wasnt very happy with results. On the third trip the tech was a bit condescending and only told me to buy a rinse agent. Dishwasher isnt getting dishes very clean, having to handwash about half the load before or after running through the washer. Also, couldnt schedule second appt. on my availability because I had to have the same tech as first trip; not exactly the most convenient for the customer.

The part cost $150, the rest was one hour labor and service call. Quick, efficient and had us running in no time. I will use them again in the future.

Everything and the service man were pleasant. He made a little mess which he cleaned up to my satisfaction.

They came out the very next day. The price was reasonable and arrived on-time. I was prepared to buy a new one and they were able to fix.

Service was good. Because he didn't have the part, he had to come back and it took a few days for him to return.

He did a good job, and did what he could to save me money.

My husband confirmed in advance with Turner Appliance that the $39.95 service charge would be credited toward the final repair (they confirmed this). After approximately 45 minutes, we were given a bill for $167.45, which unfortunately at the time, my husband just paid (he trusted what he had been told the job cost). The next day, after considering how expensive this 45 minute visit was, he reviewed the bill in detail and checked an appliance parts website which we had used before to get some other parts, and we noticed that the price of the part that Turner charged us $75 actually cost $27.80 (approx 170% markup). This got our interest, so we really scrutinized the bill, something we should have done in the first place. In addition to the grossly inflated part cost, they had charged us $48 for "service time," and sure enough - the $39.95 "service charge" was in there as well. My husband made four calls to Turner (spoke with Phyllis) who told us an "owner" would call us.

I called Turner Appliance at 10 AM and they were able to schedule a service call for between 3 & 5 the same day. At about 2:00 a technician called and said he would be at my house in a few minutes, and he was. As soon as I told him the problem he knew what was wrong and he had the part to fix it. It took less than 30 minutes to replace the part and check to make sure the washer was working correctly. The technician was very polite and courteous and he did not make a mess. I am very satisfied with the service.

They came out promptly. They repaired the oven right away, they had to troubleshoot a bit more with the washing machine but stuck with it and got everything working properly. I would highly recommend them.

The washing machine would not spin out or agitate, leaving me with a full load of wet clothes. The problem happened on a Friday night. I called Turner Appliance Repair around 9 am on Saturday morning and was told that Brian would be at my house between 1 and 3 pm. Brian called me at about 1:45 to confirm he was coming and showed up about 15 minutes later. He quickly and correctly figured out the problem, and told me how much the total cost would be to repair the washer. I agreed with the cost and he commenced work. Brian was neat and pleasant, and he cleaned up the area when he was finished. He also accepted a coupon from the Angie's List book and took $10 off the price. I'm very happy with the prompt service, and their ability to get it fixed the same day; and a SATURDAY to boot!! Good job!! Thanks!

Repair man was late by 45 minutes without apology, but said that to fix washing machine was more expensive than buying a new one.

Very dependable and reliable. They come when they say they will come. It did take them three trips before they repaired it but they did not charge me for the return trips. I feel they went over and beyond.

They called me and told me when the repairman, Brian, would arrive. He arrived promptly. He found the washer and dryer to be operable and reset the motor on the dishwasher. There was some confusion when they sent the repairman out again a few days later but all that appears to have been resolved.

Great! I have used Turner before, to fix the thermostat in my older stove, and was confident they'd be able to fix the washing machine. Kevin was on time, quickly figured out what the problem was, and replaced the part. In less than an hour, my washing machine was repaired!

Repairman arrived, diagnosed the problem, and said he had to order the part. He returned 2 days later with the part and replaced it.

We used them several times, and they are always consistent and do a good job for us.

He was timely and professional. He ordered the correct part however the company sent the wrong color and Turner didnt charge me for that trip.

Had to order part and had to wait almost two weeks for the part. The part that they received was broken. They called GE and got GE to overnight a new part at GE's expense. They installed the part the Saturday before Christmas because they knew that we needed a working oven for Christmas. I really appreciated that they took the time to get a new part over night and also were willing to install it on a weekend.

The digital display on our oven started to display random numbers instead of the time and oven settings, so no oven. Turner came on time the day scheduled, evaluated the problem as a broken digital control unit. They ordered a replacement unit, then called when it arrived a few days later and scheduled a date and time to come for the repair. The repair person was on time, and quickly repaired the oven and a broken burner element.

Replaced controller for Danby wine cooler still under warranty. Although I had to jump through some hoops to get them scheduled (manufacturer had to fax them a work authorization order to show it was warranty work). They scheduled work for next day, arrived early, diagnosed a faulty controller that needed to be ordered, the part came in and the work to install controller was promptly scheduled.

The serviceman came three hours after I called (quick!) and cleaned the coils, inspected everything, explained how everything should operate, and advised me to place my refrigerator slightly differently for easiest use and better access! Excellent service!

Over the phone they are very personable. They not only fixed the problem but gave advice in preventing the problem in the future.

Service Man never showed up to perform the work in our 2 hour window... office staff very rude and unhelpful...Claimed they had no idea where he was... No apologies ... Refused to re-schedule for that day..... Zero customer service... Would never call this company again.

The lady who answered the phone was pleasant and helpful. The technician came out and advised that repairing the broken assembly would be about $225. Given the cost decided to look at purchasing a new washer. All contact with Turner was courteous and professional.

I called for someone to come out & fix my maytag washer. I was told that a Gary would be coming from 9-11 a.m. At 11:00 I called them because no one had come out to my home. Gary finally came at 1pm. Looked at my machine said that they would get back to me about the motor board. The next day, hen no one had called, I called them & they didnt know anything & they would get back to me. They did call back the next day & wanted to set a time to come out but they still didnt know about the part. I felt they were not competent with getting back with me or even knowing what needed to be done. So, I called another company. Never was it told to me that there would be a charge for coming out to my house. I think that this Gary was negligent in his timely manner and telling me that there was a charge. He was only at my house for maybe 15 minutes. He didnt say anything but we will get back to you. He never did. I think this is a bad way to do business! Now I am being charged for incompetency!
