All aspects were swell, built and installed as agreed on, but the competitive price was the best part.

The headstone was completed and has enscriptions and pictures that are different then what we ask for. Words such as father were replaced with daddy. They are saying that we ordered stuff that we did not order and they did not give us what we did order. The paper work that we have does not have these items on it and they say that their paperwork does say it, so they are charging it for us. We are not happy with how the headstone looks and would like this situation resolved.
Description of Work: Our son passed away and we hired them to create a headstone for him. We gave them specific instruction on what we wanted enscribed on the headstone and we did not get what we ask for. They are also charging us for things that we did not request.

I worked with the members in designing the memorial for their son. They were in several times working out all of the details and making additions to the stone. I did not add to or change words on the stone that they did not ask for, nor did I change the angel. The angel etched on his memorial is not the one that was lying on the counter, it is the one in the book they chose. Also, we went through a detailed approval process. Everything was drawn up, placed on the stone, and then they were given the opportunity to make any changes they wanted at that point, before we did any permanent engraving on the granite. They are also mistaken on the cost of the stone. The total cost was $5706.38; I am enclosing a statement that details all charges and payments. The members were often at odds with each other while here, which may be part of the reason they think things are on the stone that they did not ask for. They apologized on more than one occasion for their behavior. At Thomas Monument, we work with grieving families everyday and do our best to make the process as painless as possible. We are very sorry that they are disappointed in their son's stone. We did everything possible concerning this family. Sincerely Rachel Aiello
