SPIC & SPAN CLEANING SERVICES

Purchased a Big Deal and scheduled the service. The day before the service was to be done, I called to confirm and was told that the service would not be performed due to an upcoming surgery. Since I wanted the service that week for an upcoming party, rather than rescheduling for some future time, I obtained a refund for the Big Deal. I have no knowledge of the quality of their work.

They agreed to perform cleaning service, and did not show up on the date agreed upon. Having taken time off work to be there for the cleaning (confirmed by phone on the day before the appointment), I called when they were late and finally reached someone who said they were overbooked and weren't coming. I asked for my money back. I had to call back a couple of weeks later when I still had not received a refund and then finally got it in the mail a few days later. They said too many Big Deals were sold and they couldn't meet the demand.

I purchase a big deal of $179 for Two Separate Deep Cleaning Sessions from SPIC & SPAN CLEANING SERVICES. On my order confirmation, it said they would email me within 2 business days to schedule service. But they didn't. Then I reached the lady after several calls. She asked me to call her again in 3 weeks because she needed medical care. It turned out after 3 weeks that she was not able to do the service and asked me to get refund from Angie's list.

They were punctual and professional. They did a good.

Very bad, many calls, they didn't return calls for days. When I finally had it scheduled, I called to confirm it and they asked for a different day. This was after I arranged to work from home to be there to let them into my house. Then she said okay and when they didn't show on time, I called again and she needed another half hour to hour and I said I would wait, then when they didn't show, I called again and she said they couldn't make it. Very unprofessional. I wasted half a day waiting for them and rearranged my schedule based upon them.

OK overall. They arrived on time and I showed them where the two bedrooms were. My home was pretty open and not a lot to do. No beds to make or clothes to put away. They did clean the bathroom in the master bedroom and 2nd bedroom adquately. The wiped up in the kitchen. No sweeping nor mopping or scrubbing. I was told they would clean throughly and they did not at all. OK, but I would not use again.

It went very well and they punctual.

I'd purchased and Angie's List deal and due to personal reasons the provider was unable to perform the housecleaning in the time frame I needed. Felicia was very responsive and took care of requesting the refund through Angie's List. C for professionalism only due to use of all-caps and grammar in emails.

I was having surgery and thought it would be nice to have someone else clean my house. I purchased the Big Deal for 2 housecleanings and they didn't show up for the first appointment. When I called them they told me their father had been rushed to the hospital. Okay, no problem, rescheduled. Then on the day before the reschedule, they called to tell me they'd be there in 20 minutes. I then told them it was the next day and they apologized and didn't show up. So, I got my money back from Angie's List and because I thought it was possibly a fluke that I had problems with them, I chose not to submit a review. But since you keep asking for one, here it is.

When I saw the big deal, I sent an e-mail to the provider to ask a question. She responded quickly and encouraged me to buy the big deal, which I did. A couple of months later, I wanted to schedule the cleaning, so I e-mailed the provider. She responded that she was having surgery and asked me to check back in a couple of weeks. I waited 3 weeks and contacted her again to try to schedule the cleaning. The next thing I knew Angies list said to call rather than e-mail. Okay - so I called her and never got a return call. Angies list refunded my money. I understand the issue of surgery when you provide a personal service. But I don't understand not returning phone calls or offering refunds if you can't provide the purchased service. What an awful experience.

I would not recommend this company, nor would I even list them on Angie's List.

They were very puntual and did a good job. They worked very hard and were nice.

Overall easy to schedule and showed up on time. Five people showed up for the job and they divided and conquered! I did not have to stay in the house for hours while they cleaned. No complaints. Probably will use them again in the future.

I purchased an Angie's List Deal and was a little concerned because they sent an email announcement that they would be unavailable for a number of days but after that time I was able to contact them and agreed on a date date and time. They made quick work out of cleaning and polishing. Good job!

tried and tried to contact this company and left messages and then mailbox full message came through. never a call back or response in any way got money back

I contacted the service, and the owner asked me the square footage on my house. I told her. We talked again trying to schedule the cleaning, and again she asked me the square footage. I told her again, 2,200. She shows up with about four other workers. She immediately starts telling me that "I never TOLD her about THIS." I told her I was upfront about the square footage. She just kept acting like I couldn't POSSIBLY be asking her to CLEAN! I told her repeatedly to just do what you can. No miracles were expected, etc. They started cleaning, then she went upstairs and told them to quit. She came down and just kept saying she just couldn't do it. I really don't know WHAT her problem was. I really just think she didn't want to fulfill the service. She cut me a check and I made sure I cashed it THAT day!

I left several voicemails and sent an email and did not hear back. I reached out to Angie's List to let them know, and they reached out to her, prompting her to return my call. She told me she was going to be having surgery and wouldn't be able to schedule a visit until early November. She indicated that her family members clean with her, so she would just be supervising them while she recovered. I asked her to either send me an email with dates that she was available, or to reach out to me after her surgery to schedule the visit. I never heard from her again, so I requested a refund.

I have had the Deal for a while but didn't use it at first because I received an email saying that the owner of the company was on sick leave. I waited a few extra weeks to contact her because I figured she would be slammed with business. When I did try to call her I left a few voicemails and sent an email before I finally was able to speak with her, and she told me she was no longer honoring the Big Deal, so I am getting a refund for it.

I originally e-mailed her 3 times and never got a response. Then I called her and she told me that she was having surgery on her arm and to call back after October 15th. When I called her back she told me that she was no longer honoring Big Deals and I needed to get a refund.

Provider uinable to provide service because of surgery. In regard to the above rating. I was not able to mark NA for the overall experience. When I submitted the form it came back . I then tried again with the NA but wouldl not take it again. therefore I hit the F response. Came back again - Ovedrall grade was higher than the other grades selected (which was NA) so, therefore, I marked F for everything.

Unfortunately this Big Deal didn't work out very well for me. My regular cleaning person was having surgery, so this seemed like a good way to have my house cleaned while she was unable to do it. However, on the first date scheduled, 8/20/12 @ 9:30am, Spic & Span did not show. After leaving 2 messages, Felicia finally called back late afternoon & explained that her daughter had emergency health issues. I certainly understood & was happy to be rescheduled within a few days. Felicia & 2 others came as scheduled on 8/23 and did a fine job. We scheduled the 2nd cleaning for 9/18/12, 9:30. They did not show. After leaving several messages, Felicia called back explaining that she was unable to work due to medical problems which would require surgery, and she was working with Angie's List to notify her customers. She said wanted to work me in by sending her girls to clean on 9/27/12. Again they were a no-show. I have spoken with Angie's List and have received a refund for half of the cost of the Big Deal (total was $179.50). While I certainly understand that medical problems beyond a person's control do arise, I believe that Felicia could improve her customer communications/responsiveness, as she does have a good service to provide.

This makes me very leery about purchasing an Angie's List deal.

Very disappointed! I think the coupon should have been honored, and that she should have advised me she wouldn't be able to clean in this area again.
