Description of Work: The employees were true professionals and very courteous. They were on time to pick up all of my furniture and move them appproximately 120 miles. It was raining the day they delivered everything to my new house and they put down tarps to prevent tracking anything into the house. I would highly recommend them to anyone who asks. the final amount was within $100 of what my initial quote. Their bid was the best out of 5 diferent movers that I had contacted.

Description of Work: Moved furniture from house, basement and mother-in-law suite including piano with care. Movers were on time and worked until job was finished. They used appropriate coverings and equiptment. All of the furniture is stored in their temperature controlled warehouse. They have been very easy to work with.

Description of Work: Sherman moved us from our old house in Franklin Township, Marion County, to our new house in White River Township, Johnson County on 1/18/2010-1/19/2010. The moved was done over 2 days as planned. Our old house was a 3-bedroom, 1900 sq-ft home, completely furnished. They packed everything,the whole house, with great care. The staff were exceedingly professional and friendly. In the whole move, only one light bulb was broken. Everything was packaged and labeled clearly and put in the designated rooms in the new house. Labor costs for the 2 days totaled $2600 and packing materials $500. This was within their estimate. Everything was made as smooth as possible for us. We had such a good experience, we recommended them to close friends who moved last month from Marion to Hamilton County, and they also had a wonderful experience. Two thumbs up to Sherman Moving. We would certainly use them again.

Description of Work: I have used Sherman Moving multiple times and find them to be courteous and punctual. They are always very careful with my things, and they work quickly when at my house. I have used them three times in total. One FYI for customers, and perhaps all moving companies do this. Sherman charges from the time they leave their warehouse to the time they return to their warehouse. In my case, I paid for 1 hr and about 15 min of transportation time, even though they were actually at my house moving things for just two hours (their minimum charge). As a customer, I would much prefer to be charged a little more for the time they are at my house and I can see the hard work, as opposing to being charged for time when I can't see the effort -- I also am a bit unsure of how it could take a total of 1 hr 15 min. to make the round trip, when mapquest says it is 22 min. each way. In any event, I would use Sherman again and think they are substantively good movers. However, it would be nice to know up front that there is essentially a "service call" or flat charge for booking the appt of $120 or more. One last thing - The mover hands you an evaluation form to fill out at the end, and you are expected to complete it while the movers are waiting. My comments were positive, but Sherman would be more likely to get objective responses if homeowners had a little privacy to complete the evaluation or could mail it in.
