Description of Work: Looking for a deal, went to Big Deals section of Angie's List. I saw their deal of 3 men for 3 hours, and thought it would work for the move we needed. Upon calling the company, I found approximately 1 hour of the time (maybe more, maybe less) would be consumed in travel time (them driving their truck from their location to mine and back). I did not feel this was clear in the promo. In addition, if the time went over 3 hours, it would be an extra $140 per hour. After reading comments, I saw a number of people got charged the extra $140 and this just was not something I wanted to risk having to pay. Given the above, and my inability to control how long it really takes them to drive each way, I decided I did not want this deal. Everything with regard to using Angie's List and communicating with Sherman Moving went fine. Thank you

Description of Work: They were on time. There was more then one truck load so they called in another truck and crew. There was only one piece damaged which they promptly took care of. |Very satisfied.

Description of Work: I had them move some of my belongings to storage, other stuff to my fiance's house, and some of her stuff to storage. They were able to get all of that done along with putting the items in storage in 6 hours. | |They were at my house right on time. When they got there they took a quick look at the scope of the job and got right to work. They were fast, efficient, and professional. You're always afraid that when you pay someone by the hour that they will work slow to make the most money but that wasn't the case with Sherman Moving. They were really quick but careful at the same time so as to not damage my belongings nor the house. I will definitely be using them again for two more moves I have in the near future.

Description of Work: This was the second time I used Sherman Moving Storage Company. Both times they were on time, professional, and very courteous. They took excellent care of my belongings both loading and unloading. And did so very quickly, which I greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend them and will not use anyone else in the future.

Description of Work: They were on time and had three people, but they did not tell us that they started clock the moment they left their shop (bs if you ask me) So we ended up having to pay an extra hundred dollars so the Angie's deal wasn't really a deal after all (suppose to be 3 hrs for $350). When we were watching, they seem to move things carefully and at a steady pace. But we left them to go to the new apartment, and think they started to take their sweet time. It took them 2 hrs to finish loading and drive to new apartment (which is only a few miles away), but only 1/2 hr to unload everything. Timing doesn't make sense. Will not use again because we can get more reputable mover for same price.

Description of Work: They arrived on time and were very professional. I had 2 closings to attend and there was a 3 hr window where they had to wait on me to give them access to our new condo. It was a pretty warm day as well, so waiting on me was not pleasant. Once we were in, all 3 men were so nice and helpful to get our things to the exact place I wanted them. I would sure use this company in the future!

Description of Work: Great experience! The crew was very courteous and careful, and I will be using them again this fall to move to my completed home. They packed the storage unit very well to where I didn't need a second unit. Had a ranch home with a large bonus room. Worked non-stop.

Description of Work: After moving me in October (which I also rated "A"), they stored some of my furniture in their warehouse for the last 7 months. When I picked up my stored items, I was impressed at the cleanliness of their warehouse and was glad to see my furniture had been in such a nice warehouse over this past winter. They had my items ready for me to pick up and were professional and courteous.

Description of Work: I have used Sherman three times over a period of two years. Once to move furniture from Richmond, IN to Bloomington, once from a location in Indy to storage in Indy, and then from storage to Carmel, and once from Richmond to Carmel. They have been tremendous.

Description of Work: They picked up my dad's furniture and brought it to me after they had stored it for 4 or 5 months. They were professional.

Description of Work: Very friendly crews, but dispatch severely underestimated time required for my move which resulted in a near doubling of my bill. A second crew was brought in, and one guy ate chips and drank a coke while on the clock. They broke a shelving unit and tore a couch. Their estimate was affordable, but the final expense was not. Sorry, I doubt I will use them again.

Description of Work: Called Sherman's for an estimate. I knew it would be a busy weekend so I wasn't surprised to hear they had one opening on the day we needed to move. By the time I called my husband to confirm and called back to reserve, the spot was already booked! They were really nice and apologetic about it- even recommended another company. Their price was right and the staff was friendly. I will call more in advance next time.
