I called the day before the movers were supposed to start to see if I could get things started a little early and begin loading a truck on that day. I knew it was incredibly short notice, but thought I'd give it a try. The man who answered was very polite and told me that he didn't thing that it was possible, but he would let me know if any of his crews finished early. That was at 9:00 am. At 9:45, he called me back and said he could have a crew at my house at 11. I was shocked! The crew showed up and after a short tour with instruction from me, began loading immediately. They worked until they had everything they could load on the truck that day ready to go. They suggested they bring an extra truck and crew the next day in order to get our move competed before the Labor Day weekend. Two trucks and 3 men showed up bright and early and again got right to work. These guys did a great job. I was so impressed with the courtesy they showed me. They were very polite and very hard working. There wasn't a groan or an eye roll associated with asking them to move the heaviest of things. Moves are stressful enough, but having to worry about movers who aren't motivated or who are careless with your items makes it even worse! This was not the case with Sherman!! We left all of our main floor furnishings to keep our house staged. I will be using Sherman as soon as our house sells to come back and move the rest of our items. I gave them a B for price only because its always more expensive than I estimate. I did not price shop, but feel the price was worth it. Just more than I was expecting.

I don't remember how much they charged us. It was a big job because we had a double move. It was a positive experience. They did a great job. Their employees were just knowledgeable. They handled everything that we needed. They are a really good moving company. They were probably a little more competitive on the price, but it was worth the money.

The team leader assigned to our move, Matt, is a true professional and very customer service oriented. His calm demeanor and thoughtfulness made the move stress-free and the process a smooth one. Everything went into the truck and back out as expected - no surprises - no problems. I also want to compliment the four guys who worked with Matt. They were willing to help in any way we asked and were extremely friendly too. Working with the the aforementioned guys and company executive, Jason Sherman was a pleasure! Jason was willing accomodate us in any way possible. He is not only a very nice person, he's a fair and honest business person as well. And his pricing for move was extremely fair. I will definitely hire Sherman for our next office or residential move.

They were great! They were really easy to work with. Some minor items did break, but they were more than happy to reimburse me. I would definitely recommend them.

The Sherman team was fast, friendly and professional. Scheduling the move was easy, even after 2 delayed closing dates Sherman's was able to reschedule without a problem. The packing team packed our things with care, and treated our home with respect. The guys worked hard from the moment they arrived, and we have not experienced any breakage. The move itself went very well, with not a single dinged corner, doorway or bannister. I could not have been happier with the team that Sherman's sent out. At one point during the move-in, I was rearranging some furniture in the living room when the job foreman stopped me and said "Let us do that sir, you are paying us to do that." He called in a member of the crew and they moved my couches and tables exactly where I wanted them. I only rate them a C on price because the estimate was quite a bit lower than the actual charge. I definitely do not dispute the amount of work done, nor that we did not get our money's worth, (apparently we have a LOT of stuff) but I would have liked to have seen a little more accuracy in the estimate. Those kind of surprises are never fun! I would have hired Sherman's anyway, even at the final price paid.

Great overall from the time they arrive (on time) to the time they left (very close to estimated time). I will hire them again when and if the need arises.

They were respectful. They did a good job. Their prices were reasonable. I would use their services in the future too.

When I contacted Sherman Movers 2 weeks before my move, I spoke to a gentleman and he quoted me a price of $240 to $250 for a minimum of a 2 hour move. He didn't say anything about mileage at that time. They then moved my moving time from 8:30 am to 10:30 am. They didn't show up on time because they went the wrong way. When they did arrive, they complained because I live on the second floor and because they would have to lift a lot of things. I did my best to help them with them move since I only had $240 to $250 budgeted for the move and they said that they were charging for mileage. They started charging mileage from the time they left their company's location, through when they dropped off my furniture at the storage facility, until when they dropped me off at my daughter's house. Their price was totally different than what was quoted to me originally. One of the men made some comments about a table of mine, which I gave him and I asked for help on keeping the price as low as possible. I was still charged $340 to $360. One of the men was very worried about money the whole time he was there. He was constantly on his cell phone calculating the cost of the move.

They were great! They were prompt and very efficient. They moved our intieor house in about hald a day using 2 trucks. Tey did everything that was expected of them. They are very nice guys

Everything was great. They did a great job. They came back the next day to finish the work because it had taken a little longer than we thought.

They were very good. They were careful and they didn’t bang anything into the wall. They had right equipment for moving. They were very professional. I would highly recommend them. If there is a need, I would definitely use them again in the future too.

It was exceedingly easy to arrange the move, even though I was worried because it was "last minute". The movers themselves arrived when they said they would, and were careful and courteous -- even though it was an unseasonably hot spring day. I can't recommend this company highly enough.

Moving is horrible and I want to be cautious about my replies. They got the job done and their people work while they are there. I didn't feel like anyone stood around. They were respectful of both homes and for all those things I'm grateful. There were quite a few things that were very frustrating. I had a crew of 4 packers on day one and 6 or 8 on day 2 to pack and load. One person was the lead but I felt like I was running around "managing" the guys all day long. I had to tell each one of them individually what was to get packed and when. If I turned my back the items I said to not pack would get packed and the stuff I wanted to be packed up were not. They packed and moved 4 trash bags I am certain I repeatedly told them to not move. I left notes on items that said "leave for the new owner" that were packed and moved to my new house. When I received the estimate I was told "we will move those bins as they are" but then when the packers got there they put everything in a cardboard box. One example: My playroom has an Ikea wall unit made up of 25 cubes. I have 10 plastic boxes that fit in the cubes to hold toys. The men packed each cube in a box with packing paper. One cube per box with nothing else in it. It was insane. I would open a box, pull out the cube and tear apart the box. They were being paid by the hour and they took time to pack the cubes up. I felt like they were using unneccessary amounts of boxes and time. My quote was way less than what I paid (I paid 50% more than I expected to) and I feel like it was because they boxed things that no one else would box. Seriously does my trash can (half full of trash) need to be packed in a box? Again, everything was done and the men were working. No one stood around smoking, no one was rude or lazy. They simply didn't follow direction and didn't really seem to have a leader. I had to tell each person repeatedly what to do. I also have a broken dresser, lamp shade and because I haven't finished unpacking my den I don't know if that is all. They are going to pick up the dresser to get it repaired. The lamp shade I guess isn't that big of a deal. I hope the printer that was left in the printer cabinet when it was carried and that I heard being banged will work when I am able to get to that room to unpack it. Also I would suggest at the end of the move, you ask each of the men to unload their pockets of the little brackets and pieces and screws that hold your bookshelves together. I did and am able to say that I turned up most everything. They did truly come from the pockets of the men who moved the shelf units though. Finally, at the end of a very long moving day the lead person came in with my bill. I found it very odd that the largest and most muscular man on the team stood right beside him when he asked me to sign the form and hand over the payment in full. It was a very awkward and uncomfortable situation. He just stood there, he had no reason to be in the room with the leader. I felt as though I was being "managed." As a single mother of two daughters I truly had a moment when I felt like I would pay about anything to get them out of my house.

On May 25, 2011 Matt, Rob and Ron from Sherman Moving showed up at my daughter's new apartment on time as promised. These three gentlemen unloaded her furniture from our moving van in a quick and effecient manner. They set her bed frame up for us and even hooked up her washer and dryer! They were finished with the unload in less time than we anticipated. They are professionals in their trade, and we would certailny use them again in the future if the need arises. Our family highly recommends Sherman Moving and Matt, Rob and Ron.

They were great and did a great job. They worked very hard from the time they got there till the time they were up here. As I was supposed to pay them on an hourly basis, they worked very hard and they saved me some money. I would rate them high overall. They were cheaper on price when compared to others. Their truck was repaired and they were little late by 20minutes but I don’t blame them for that. I would use them again in the future.

It was good. They did a good job. We really had no complains with them except that they took a lot longer than they thought they are going to take. It took them 4 days to move us. It was a little bit longer than we would have expected. Not sure if it was their fault as we had too much stuff. They did all the packing. We moved in to a very old house. They did a good job, but a lot slower than we expected. Overall, nothing was damaged or treated poorly. Price; they are higher than everybody else is. Professionalism; for most of them I will have to say ?A? but there are couple of guys that I?ll have to give a ?B?.

The reason we continue to go back to them is because we feel they give us A service all across the board. They are extremely careful and respectful. They are a very good company and we will continue to use and refer them.

Very well. The men were courteous and had a good sense of humor. They came with a large crew of 9 people who were able to box up my entire house and make a trip to my business location for boxes in just 4 hours. They were precise, careful, and kind. Since I was moving far away, there were only three of them who moved me into my new home. They got lost for an hour on the way to the new site. They had the correct Google map directions, but when they called me from their cell phone, I misunderstood where they were. I accept partial responsibility for their situation. They handled my upright piano with great care. They did cause two little nicks on my sectional sofa, which they have offered to pay to have repaired. I've already called about that. I was overall very pleased with their service.

They were very good. They were very friendly. I liked them a lot. They are very thorough. I didn't have any problems with them.

Overall I was satisfied with the service. They handled all the requirements well. We had things coming from our home and storage and they coordinated everything well. All things happened as they were supposed to. We had no issues, including when they moved an organ for us. I thought their price was reasonable and middle of the road. They were not the lowest but we picked who we thought would give us the best service.

We have used them several times and they have been on time. We would definitely recommend them. They are very careful with everything that they move. They are very friendly. The price is very good. They are very punctual. They are on time. We would use them again in the future.

Did a great job of keeping the carpets clean while moving things in around the carpet cleaners, who were there the same day. A bit pricey but well worth it.

They were very efficient, friendly, and there was no breakage of things. They did a good job. They came on time. I will use them again for my family members.

Crew of 6 showed up on time. They got right to work and were extremely careful with our belongings. We have had several moves across the country over the past 10 years. This was our first experience with Sherman and was the best by far. Previously we had a much smaller crew which meant the guys got tired and complained endlessly. With a team of 6, they seemed more able to keep at the work and pace. They didn't prep the house like previous movers have. At first this worried me, but I realized, in the end, that they were just so much more careful. There was not a single damaged item of furniture or damage to the home itself. This was a first! They began the job at 9:00, loaded from the old home and delivered to the new, and were on their way at 2:45. I could not get over it! I would recommend them wholeheartedly!
