From the time we called Sherman Moving and Storage, the company was highly professional. The estimator, Paul Sherman, was friendly, professional and helpful. We choose Sherman based on our meeting with him despite the price estimate being slightly greater than other options. We felt prepared by Jason for how to be ready for our moving day. On the day of the move, the crew arrived on time and ready to work. They were professional and efficient in their work. They asked us questions that required clarification and were open to answering our questions. They met our deadline for finishing the work and then met our target time for arriving at our new home that same day after taking a lunch break. The move into our new home efficient and comepleted without any problems. At the end of the move, the Sherman crew repeatedly asked if there was anything more they could do before leaving. All in all, Sherman Moving and Storage made our move a positive experience.

I spent right around $8000 on that service. My overall experience was very good and I really liked them. I would use them again if needed.

I have used them three times. Expect some drywall damage (they don't usually tell you, you have to look). They don't usually send out anyone too scary. Reasonable pricing, good enough service.

Overall, the guys were professional and hard workers. Would definitely hire them again. Two snafus during the second part of the move; a) dispatch somehow misentered the information in their systems, so when they first arrived, the fellas were shocked since they thought it was a two bedroom apartment and it was a four bedroom house (with a finished basement) and then had to split the move into multiple days/trips, and b) had some sort of truck trouble that really slowed the trip down and with losing one guy of the crew, the guys were working late into the night. They were completely exhausted, I felt bad for them. They did come through with flying colors but they really needed more help.We did use the storage service to get a bunch of stuff out of the house to get it ready for showing and sale, and that part of the effort went really well. Would especially recommend that service rather than trying to pack your own PODS. Which actually we started doing and then realized how much it would cost to move the Pod across state lines. So the Sherman guys did a great job of moving the contents of the Pod into their truck, no questions asked.

They moved our home of 14 years, 10 people, including an in home business. It took 3 trucks, 6-8 guys, three and a 1/2 days. They were great to work with. They moved not only our home but, picked up furniture at 2 other locations and emptied two storage units.

Our experience with Sherman was great. Our initial phone inquiries were always answered quickly and very professionally. They estimated we would need about 4 hours, but in reality we needed closer to 6-7. On the day of the move, three men arrived about 15 minutes after estimated, which was great. They were nice and paid attention to our needs and instruction. One of my only complaints was that they smelled very strongly of smoke as they entered our apartment. This was very unpleasant for my husband and I. They moved everything out of our apartment very quickly, carefully and efficiently. They drove to our storage unit and retrieved everything from it. They then returned to the apartment because they had forgotten some boxes (possibly our fault). After picking those up, they drove across town, stopping for lunch. They then arrived at my parents' house and unloaded a few items carefully and quickly. Their real genius came next as they fit a three bedroom apartment's worth of stuff and furniture into a 10x15 storage unit. The items were stacked to the ceiling to make full use of the space, and everything fit perfectly. Without them, we would surely have had to get a larger unit. Nothing was damaged thus far. They over-estimated travel time and charged us accordingly, but after a phone call from my husband, they promised to deduct some time. I recently noticed that they charged us twice, but I will call tomorrow and am certain they will fix it. Everything about the company has been constantly professional and helpful.

They did a great job. They were prompt, efficient, and professional. They were also nice, friendly, and very patient. I was especially pleased with how wonderful they treated my parents throughout the entire process. They packed all the fragile items and the furniture. They were also timely and very reasonably price. I would use them in the future.

they showed up on time, actually a bit early and had stuff loaded and ready to go. They unloaded and moved things to where they needed to be placed. Very courteous and professional. Would highly recommend their service to anyone and will definately use again when the time comes.

Due to a lot of factors, we had a short window of time for moving, and we did not know when we would be able to close on our home until almost the last minute. So we had little notice, a short window of time, and August is prime-time for moving. We were very worried about being able to schedule movers at all. Fortunately, Sherman Moving had an opening for us. They were very prompt and did an excellent job. They easily and expertly handled difficulties, such as our refrigerator being too wide to fit through our back door (with the door opened as wide as possible). For them it was not a problem -- they simply took the door off of its hinges and eased the refrigerator right on through, then re-installed the door. They did great. We were very, very pleased with the entire experience, from the first telephone contact to the point where the entire transaction was complete.

We were impressed with the workers and would rate this and excellent experience from beginning to end.

I ended up not using them. I was actually going to use them but the deal for the piano fell through, so I didn't have an opportunity to use them. Their deal was fabulous and I was going to use them. They had the best deal. I didn't spend any money on the estimate. The estimate was over the phone and she was very thorough and tried to make sure she got the right dimensions so that she could have the right number of movers and she explained to me why. She was asking the questions and she made sure that I was very comfortable with the process and her estimate. She was very personable and very accommodating. I was not going to be in town for a few hours on one day and she gave me different options on time to meet my schedule. I think she went above and beyond to accommodate my crazy work schedule around the time I needed the piano delivered and provided options and solutions for me.

They didn’t use any protection for the furniture’s so I saw some minor damages. There were three gentlemen and one of them just came around. They disconnected the water valve and the water was leaking. They didn’t do anything or suggest anything so I had to go to the store to buy a cap to cover the hole but it was not the part of their service. Because they don’t do the protection around the furniture that takes them less time to move the furniture but they are cheaper and their price is less. I would not use them again.

Everything went as planned.No glitches or problems at all.

Very smooth, movers were on time at both locations. I would recommend them as movers, well managed and professional company. I understand they moved from the Fishers location, so I can't speak to the new location.

I contacted Sherman Moving by phone and received a cost quote based on the number of hours that the crew would be on the job. Time on the job begins with departure from the company headquarters on the southside of Indianapolis to my residence in the Butler/Tarkington area of Indianapolis. Once they arrived on the job. They went right to work after surveying the location of all articles to be moved. The moved went quickly and efficiently and the household goods were loaded on the van and we were off to the new house. The process was repeated with the same speed and efficiency as the packing stage. Overall a great job.

I called twice and explained that I had 6 large items, not an entire household. This was ignored. Three men were assigned for a whole household move when two would have been acceptable. I was told that they would arrive at 9:15am, which they did, but I was not told I was being billed since they left the warehouse at 8am. I was told that there was a minimum time rate that I might have to conform to, which I thought was acceptable too. The actual moving went well and fast.

We moved twice. Move one was into storage; move two was into our new condo. Both moves went seamlessly. They showed up on time. The workers were clean, courteous, and hard working - very professional. They moved a very heavy, large, cabinet downstairs (didn't think it could be done) without a problem - I was impressed. When we moved into the condo, one wall did get dented but was repaired quickly and without hesitation. I have moved several times in the past (many horror stories), but these two moves were relatively seamless.

These workers were fantastic. After they got things moved in, and even after I asked to move a couple of pieces from one place to another, they asked if there was anything else they could move around before they left. I could not have asked for better service. I will recommend them to anyone I know is moving and would definitely use them again.

They gave me a great quote, and they were fast and efficient. They actually ended up doing things faster than they had quoted out. Their price was reasonable. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

It went absolutely fantastic. They are the best movers and I have moved a lot. They were on time and they even helped me unload my car.

We spent $3500 for their services. We have used them before as well. We found them on Angie’s List when we moved a long time ago. We felt they were good and they still have good reviews. They did a good job of packing quickly. They packed about half of the stuff in a day. They were very friendly as well. I don’t think anything got lost and nothing was broken. We have three kids and it was a four-bedroom house; so there was a lot of stuff. I have only positive things to say about them. I would use them again. We recommended them to some friends and they had a really good experience as well.
