+ -1 moreI was very impressed with these movers as opposed to other movers I have used. The movers were very professional and experienced like trying to large items through small doors. They were able pack and get things out of my condo and then reassemble at my new house. They also were careful with my things and protected my furniture.

+ 0 moreFor the second time in a year we unexpectedly needed to move my parents, both over 65. We had used Sherman the first time when they moved from Logansport, IN after shopping around. We picked them because the price was great and the guys were great. We didn't expect to hire them again 1 year later! However, this decision was easy and stress-free. When we called the scheduler was very informative about when their services would peak so as not to lose the right dates, which was key. This time Sherman did more of the packing and the move was shorter but again, a top notch team. It was one of the blistering hot days in July and the 3 guys somehow managed to remain cheerful and patient throughout the process. We highly recommend Sherman! We also referred them to another friend moving around the same time and she thanked me for the referral - great service and employees!

+ -1 moreThe guys arrived on time and were careful as they moved our furniture. They were very helpful. When they moved one of our less expensive bookcases, it fell apart which is not surprising. Yet they deducted $$ from the bill for the damage. I would definitely recommend them and will use them again if needed.

+ -1 moreJeff and Chris were very punctual. They had moved us to our new home 2 weeks earlier and it went so well we had them move our mom into our home as well. They worked quickly and handled her furniture gently. They took apart her bed and put it back together along with the tv electronics for us. These guys are professional and very polite. It went quickly and I would call them again if another move is needed.

+ -1 moreWe are older and did not look forward to this move at all, but Jeff and Chris made this the most enjoyable move by far. We were so thrilled that we are having Sherman do my mom's move to our home this week and have specifically asked for Jeff and Chris. Thanks, Sherman Movers and thank you Jeff and Chris!
Description of Work: Because of highway construction they were a little late, but even though it wasn't their fault they were very apologetic. Jeff and Chris were very professional and courteous. They handled our items so carefully. They made sure everything was secure and let me know about a few items they thought might rattle or break that I had packed so I could repack or take over in my car. They worked tirelessly and I offered them lunch but they wanted to keep going! I have never seen two men work with such precision and speed. They worked like a team! The time they took was what was estimated to me. They stopped before coming down the drive at our new home to say some of the trees may be in there trucks way and they wanted to make sure before they drove down. It was okay with me, and only one small limb had to be cut after they left. At the new home they covered woodwork on the stairs and even tho we have light carpet they left no marks or spots.

Description of Work: Sherman Moving and Storage saved the day. Recently, my firm was scheduled to move with another company. When the other company's trucks broke down the firm's move was left up in the air. Sherman was able to step in and complete the move the next day.

+ 1 moreThe movers arrived on time to the first of 4 locations we had to move items. They worked tirelessly all day long. It took about 10 hours to move all of my belongings, including some very large items. They were able to hoist a large armoir over a balcony for me so I did not need to use a separate piano mover. They not only took large items (treadmill) apart and put it back together, but fixed a few things in my new apartment that were not functioning properly. They were terrific and very hard working! Whatever I needed, they did. And did so with a smile. I have already told people about Sherman and I will never use another company. I used my $25 Angie's List coupon as well. I chose them because they are local and Angie's List recommended them. I gave the movers a large tip as well! They deserved it!
Description of Work: The movers moved furniture from two houses to one new location and to a new separate storage unit. 4 locations in total.

+ -1 moreThey really had to struggle to move it 14 steps off from the street. We had used them before to move another piano and they are very good to work with. They take care in getting the piano in without damaging it, they put down the stuff to roll piano across, so they protected the floor. They just do a professional job. I would use them again. We had to pick it up at the store when we bought it and they were waiting for me when I got there. I will continue to use this provider again in the future.

Hourly rate was competitive with 2 hour minimum which was appropriate for this job. Crew arrived at scheduled time and worked efficiently and effectively to make move happen. Would definitely use Sherman Moving again and recommend to others.
