All went smooth. I suggested this provider to my friend as I had used them once before in 2008. I was able to get this service for my friend with a discount since moving can be a costly thing. Was present when the moving company moved my friend. Everything went very smooth. They were there on time and the three movers(Brian, D.J. and James) were very friendly. They did their job and did not waste any time. I would recommend them to a friend and would even use Sherman Movers if I decided to move again.

There was a bit of a snafu on the size of the job when we moved from our 3 bedroom/office house on the Westside to a similar sized home in Fishers. Based on my description of the work, the movers were told that our house was 1500 square feet and that it would be 5-6 hours total. Our house was double that size. Because of this, they didn't have a big enough truck and had to call another one in--but they didn't determine that until after they had packed most of the smaller items into the first truck and then didn't have room for my furniture or appliances. The movers were very unhappy with their home office and made it clear that they felt misled. They did work very hard and it was the hottest day of the summer, so there is no issue with their effort or in the way the company handled the situation once it was clear there was a pretty significant issue to address. Instead of 5-6 hours, the move was 11--obviously significantly higher than we expected.

Crew was very good. They didn't screw around even though they are getting paid by the hour. I would use them again.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal for $350. It was great and they did a great job. The Big Deal didn't cover the entire move. Everything was good from the time I called them to schedule the Big Deal online. I wanted to make sure they could move me the day I needed. I would recommend them to others. The 3 people that actually moved me were Chris, Jeff and Brandon. They were good guys and they did an excellent job.

We were hesitant to use a moving company because we had a horrible experience in the past. These guys did above and beyond more than we could have ask for.

Overall, the move went very well. I was first attracted to the company based on their reviews and the coupon offer for 3 hours of moving for $350. I called the company first to schedule a time and find out more details on the offer. The woman on the phone informed me that any time over the 3 hours would be charged at a rate of $140 an hour. The only clarification that I wish would have been made better is that the time starts from when the guys get to the office to pick up the truck to the time they drive back to the office to drop off the truck. Sherman Moving is located on the south side, and I am located on the north side so this added an additional 2 hours to the time, which in turn added an additional $280 to the cost. Had I known this, I probably would have hired a reputable moving company on the north side. All that being said, the guys arrived on time and instantly got to work. They were very professional and were careful with my belongings. They worked with the maintenance staff at my apartment complex to move furniture from the 4th floor on an elevator to the moving truck. When we got to the new place of residence, they placed furniture where I directed and reassembled my bed. I would recommend Sherman Moving Company for anyone looking to hire a mover. They did a great job and am glad that such a stressful thing as moving went as smoothly as it did. Thank you guys for your hard work!

Three man crew arrived on time and worked non-stop to complete the work; the team was pleasant and professional.

They worked us in as a second job in the day, so they arrived pretty late, but we were prepared for that. They made up for it by being very speedy once they got started. They charged by the hour so I appreciated this. One thing to note is that they also charge for time they spend driving from their place to and from your job, so plan for that. But generally, I think they were very careful, quick, and polite.

They were prompt, quick to get the job done and did a very good job. I would recommend.

They said they were unable to accomodate me on the day of my move. They did contact me within the 2 business days and were professional and curtious over the phone.

The move went very well. They were punctual, friendly, very polite, and worked very hard. I was surprised to not see furniture pads, but one of the young men told me they were in the truck. They loaded efficiently, took a lunch break (as did we), then delivered the items to our new residence. The items delivered into the house were very heavy and two had to go upstairs. Understanding the difficulty of getting these items upstairs, I was not surprised there was damage to the walls. I was surprised, however, that no one said anything. Perhaps they did not notice, but it was fairly obvious. These were wonderful young men and hard workers, but they probably need some training in the professional aspects of moving a household. The dining room table had scratches on it (not terrible, but noticeable) and several other pieces had marks left by tape. These marks are not coming off very well.

They arrived on time, the move went well and I will use them again.

These guys did great! Dennis, Brian, and Brandon were the gents who helped us out. They were very personable and efficient. This was the first time I have ever hired movers and to be completely honest I was a little nervous about the whole thing. Hoping that we packed everything, and not wanting to make multiple trips I was walking around frantically trying to pick everything up that didn't make its way into a box. They brought a few extra boxes, and tape with no extra charge, and helped pick up everything that needed to be boxed. You never know how much stuff you have until you move, and I was very thankful these guys were there to help me, It would have been a nightmare without them. I would hire this company again, and I would recommend them to anyone. The show up on time, they were polite but fun all at the same time, and the overall experience was great! Best $1,120.00 I ever spent. And because they did such a great job and were so nice to my wife and my 3yr old daughter, I tipped them $100.00. Although its not much, I'm glad to help each one of them personally. Thank you for all your help Sherman Moving! Don't think about other movers, just hire these guys, you won't regret it!!!

Purchased the Angies Big Deal to move son to new condo. It provided for 3 guys and a truck for 4 hours of moving. Reserved date, and discussed "restraints" put on time by the apt complex, as only allow move in out during certain hours to free up an elevator. Sherman was aware of issues as have moved many in and out of that complex. Arrived on time. and went right to work. but only had 2 men instead of the three. The move took longer than expected( the third guy would have come in handy), but we understood the challenges moving in downtown Indianapolis presents. We were able secure a parking spot right in front of the new location, so we didn't impede traffic with the truck and it was close to the freight elevator used to move in. Workers were pleasant, and didn't waste time. When done we asked about the difference in "men"--they contacted their supervisor and credited us a small amt to offset what the BIG DEAL provided and what we actually received. The move cost a bit more than we expected, but overall was a better experience than we had with the movers we hired to move him into the apartment- so in that respect it was worth it.

fine. though it wasn't clear ahead of time that the coupon I purchased for ?3 hours? of moving service started when they left their facility--not when they arrived at my house. I found this out when I had to pay close to $150 more.

Movers arrived promptly on-time, were clean, neat, organized, courteous, respectful, and professional through all phases of the move. No damages to furniture or items being moved, and the movers were extremely careful with walls, woodwork, and surroundings in the existing home and in the new home. Excellent experience overall.

They were professional, very careful with all items, even an extremely heavy turn-of-the-century bookcase that was moved to my nearby home instead of the storage facility. All items were packed efficiently into the storage facility while leaving easy access to all of the belongings anywhere in the storage garage. They were very careful with dishes and breakable collectables.

The 3 man team showed up exactly on time in a beautiful new moving truck. The crew was very polite and efficient. They complimented us for being well prepared and having everything ready to move. Loading the truck took about 45 minutes. At the Storage facility, the crew was very helpful in arranging items to my benefit for later access. Now for the critical feedback. I purchased a coupon deal on the Angie's List site for 3 men and the truck for 3 hours service. The total time from arrival to complete unpacking was right at 2 hours. 1) The response to the purchase was very fast from Sherman Moving. Throughout our correspondence, I kept referring to this coupon purchase but it never seemed to be acknowledged. Even as the moved was completed, the team had to call back to the office to get a purchase number and I needed to show an email verification for the discounted purchase. Prepaid components to the contract need to be better tracked and communicated. 2) As part of the correspondence, Sherman moving noted that their travel time "to and from" the move sites would be calculated into the total bill. This was not apparent at the time of coupon purchase. Given that I had purchased the coupon, I did not expect a refund for the 1 hour extra I had purchased. Instead, the charge for travel time "to and from" was listed at 90 minutes and meant I had incurred additional costs above the purchase. Google Maps would show a maximum time of less then 50 minutes for the total "to and from" time. I found this travel charge excessive. Two years ago I used Emerson Moving to move from Kokomo to Indy and they only charged for the actual service time. Sherman should make this charge more transparent in order to provide the customer a full understanding of the service cost.

I purchased a Big Deal for 3 movers, 3 hours, and a truck, and they contacted me immediately after to schedule. I was able to get my first requested date for a great time. Each time we corresponded, it was prompt and gave me the info I needed. Out of my own nerves, I contacted the company a few times prior to the move just to make sure all was well and ready. They were always kind and patient to answer my questions and put my mind at ease. On moving day, my appointment was scheduled for 8:30, but they showed up nice and early at 8:15 which was just fine by me! I was a little confused by the fact that there were only 2 movers instead of the 3 I thought came with the deal, but they got started right away. Our movers were Sam and James and they were great. Very polite and hard-working. We were done a little after 3 hours and the ending process was painless. I would definitely use them again pending another deal!

The boys were great, the truck was perfect they arrived at the 1st location to pick up a washer and dryer for me right on time got to my condo exactly when they said they would loaded and unloaded in a very timely manner. My issue was the pricing. I have moved 3 times since 2010 using Busy Bees, All My Sons and Greenwood Moving and Storage I knew I would be hit with travel time, fuel charge and mattress wrapping and an hourly of 119.00 for 3 men on a Friday. I used Angie's List and decided to Try Sherman I was surprised a Monday move for 3 men would cost me 140.00 an hour but after listening to to the pitch it was "all inclusive" I would NOT be hit with fuel, mattress wrapping and travel charge I did the math and was sold. He told me the clock started at the first stop ( to get the W/D) which was 8:30am and the boys were done by Noon. At check out I was told there was a travel charge. I had a coupon from Angies list for 25.00 off and they damaged a Value City bookcase which was discounted at 50.00 off. The bill as exactly $140.00 over my estimate. I am not a happy camper and don't plan on recommending them in the future. I work for a mortgage company and get asked for referrals for moving and homeowners insurance.
