Sherman Moving & Storage Company Inc

I needed to be moved by May 30th and they informed me after I made the purchase that they were booked until June 3rd. I spoke to them prior to the Big Deal purchase and this was never mentioned. They were nice but bad communication.

Arrived on time, two trucks and 6 man crew as promised. Took quite a bit longer than estimate, however I completly understand how difficult and time consuming it is to move out of a 5th floor condo. Overall we were pleased with our crew, however we were told by a crew member that the owner of the company needed to pull two of the crew off of our job and move them to another job. This happened shortly after the trucks arrived at our new house. We were never approached by the owner, we just watched as two of the crew walked to a car that showed up and were driven away. We were quite disapointed in this and are sure that it cuased the move to cost us more than it showed and it obviously slowed the move down by a couple of hours. Would have appreciated a notice from the owner, and an offer of some sort to make up for our inconvenience.

The crew was very professional and took great care in moving our furniture back into our home after a major remodel. This is the third time I have used Sherman over the past year and they have been excellent each time. I highly recommend them for furniture moving and storage.

Excellent experience. Easy to schedule, they called the day before to confirm. The three movers arrived on time, worked diligently in the hot weather, and took great care with our property. The total move took the amount of time expected, and was completed without any damage. Would definitely use them again.

The process went very well. They knew what they were doing. They friendly and easy to work with. It did seem to take a bit longer than expected, but it certainly was so much better than the thought of doing it ourselves. Yes, I would use then again.

They showed up on time/early. All 3 guys were professional and efficient, obviously professional movers not temps. It took about the amount of time we estimated and roughly the price that I assumed it would be. I would definitely recommend Sherman and will use them again. When I first talked to Mr. Sherman (before I said anything about Angie's List) he recommended that I go to Angie's list to take advantage of their coupon which saved me $70. He didn't have to do that and it shows that they are good people looking out for their customers.

It was good. I think they did a good job. All the reviews are accurate. We'll probably not use them again but only because we live too far north now.

They were super - if you could give them 10 stars I would. I had a 3 story townhouse on a hill, and the truck couldn't make it up the hill so they had to carry the stuff a lot further. They were fantastic - not cheap, but for what they had to do it was a fair price

They did a great job and I would recommend them. I don't think that they took advantage of me and the big deal. They came out within a week.

They decided to take an hour break between the new and old location. What bothered me about this is they were moving so slowly and then another hour was lost - but I was not charged for it. They fail to tell you that you are responsible for paying for them from the time they leave their facility (45 minutes away - which I did not know) to the time they get back to their facility. I thought I was getting a great deal and quick move time but it ended up taking almost all day and costing me over $600. I will go with Two Men & A Truck if I ever move again.

Very well. On time; very efficient. A minor misunderstanding about a small additional fee but it was handled without any problem by the provider. Once clarified even though there was no mistake by the provider, the provider refunded the small fee without any question.

I was extremely impressed with Sherman Moving. I have already recommended them to friends who have moved in the Indy area. They were extremely professional, friendly and took extreme care with my belongings. They were also quick and respectful of my time/dollars. I will use them again if needed.

The workers were wonderful. They were on time, courteous, friendly and clean. They knew what they were doing. It was obvious that they have been doing this for a while. They finished early and I could have used them longer if there was anything else to do. Scheduling the move was very easy. Theyarea very professional company. I would definitely recommend them.

The movers showed up just a little early for our move which was great because we were ready. They came in and did a quick walk through and asked specifically what we wanted moved. They were very professional, courteous, and extremely hard working/ efficient. Originally I bought the 3 hours of moving because I thought we would use the entire time, but they finished what I assessed would take 3 hours in only 1.4 hours. Nothing was damaged, they even laid down mats in the new house so they wouldn't get dirt on my carpets. It was worth every penny!!! They made this move as simple and stress free as possible. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who needs a moving service. Fantastic company and service.

.The experience was overall good however very expensive. I made it very clear that there was a substantial amount of material to pack and move. They did not send out enough man power which included wait time. They were 30 minutes late but bad weather was a factor. The movers were professional and careful but could have been much faster. Due to the amount of guys used and the long day resulted in a much higher than budgeted amount. If I used half the guys but worked faster it would not have been near as costly. They did damage to the floor in the dining room and I did not catch it until later. They might have missed it but we have laminate wood floors and it would have taken a significant drop to make that. We are very particular about things like that so we would have seen it before. It also could only have be done by a large piece of furniture. I called the company and they said to send them a bill. However the repairs would be extensive due to the fact that the entire floor has to be removed from the wall to get to the damaged plank. It would roughly $2,000 which we need to budget out. I hope they still honor it in the future when we have that done.

I did end up being charged a lot more. I left prior to their leaving and I thought that their drive seemed to take a long time and that the move was about an hour longer that it should have taken.

We had a crew of 6 men and 2 trucks to move our belongings from Westfield to Carmel. Everything went very smoothly! The men were extremely professional and efficient. They moved everything with care and took apart all of our furniture and reassembled it in our new home. Moving is such a stressful event and we were beyond pleased with our crew! Highly, highly recommend!

This was the third time we have called Sherman Movers to help us since last summer. Each move has been a positive experience: the price is very reasonable, the crew arrives on time or early and is careful, polite and works quickly. Before they begin they do a walk-thru and ask thoughtful questions. They also check throughout the move so that things are placed where we want them and nothing was moved mistakenly, that should have stayed behind. This last move, they kindly offered to place furniture in other places after hearing my daughter change her mind. We were impressed at how quickly they loaded up and unloaded on both ends. We have never experienced any damage to any of our belongings moved by Sherman Moving. I would definitely recommend Sherman Movers and we will use them again whenever we have a need.

The Sherman movers showed up on time and completed the work within the 6 hours estimated by the quote I received. The movers were very professional and courteous and took great care to ensure our belongings and walls were not damaged. They did not break anything or even scuff any walls. They put all of our boxes and furniture in our new home as requested.

The truck arrived about 15 minutes after the time. The crew spent about 5-10 minutes outside before coming in to the house. The were careful and cautious when handling the items. I have already boxed everything and assembled the furniture. a quick move. I lived in a 600 sqft home. So I did not have alot. One bed and dresser, two couches, coffee table, washer and dryer and maybe 5 boxes. That took about an hour to move. The house was about 7 miles out. I left the same time they did and had to wait at the house for 15 more minutes before they showed up. They took about the same time to put my stuff in the house. At the end, they wanted to charge me an extra hour because we were few minutes after the third hour in the deal they had. So I had them move the piano inside from the garage and the mattress upstairs and install the washer and dryer stacked. They did not tie the screws of the dryer to the washer and almost fell off from the washer running a month later, lucky, what ever was on top of the dryer fell first for me to look around and push the dryer back. I don't know what they did what the screws so I had to zip tie them together. All in all, they moved slow for so many little items and for such a short distance. They were cautious and careful so they would not break anything.

Six men and two trucks arrived on time. They surveyed the house for items they were to move and then set about their work. Their only break was while they were in transit from one home to the other. Rested maybe 45 minutes. Otherwise, they were loading or unloading, always on the move. It was one of the coldest days of February. Wind chills were well below zero. Few complaints from the men. They worked professionally, always being certain they were getting the items they were supposed to (since we were getting the smaller items ourselves) and placing the items where we wanted. Including travel time of a little over an hour, the move of a truck and a half of larger items took six hours of billable time. They were very careful with our furniture; there were only some minor bumps and such to walls and doors. I would highly recommend them for the quality of their work, their work ethic, their punctuality and their professional manner. The cost was maybe a bit higher than other movers may have charged, but the result was worth it. If we need a mover in the future, I would not hesitate to use them again.

One piece of furniture was slightly damaged which they repaired quickly.

It turned out great. They were an awesome moving company compared to the other ones that I had gotten through Angie's List website. They did excellent. I would like to commend them as movers.
