The service they provided turned out well. They were great. They were timely and very helpful. There was only one issue that I had with a newer guy that was on the team who didn't work as hard as the other team members to help move an item. I brought that up to the owners of Sherman Moving and they were very quick to help resolve that issue for me. They were excellent in resolving the issue.

They are a joke! They just throw things in boxes and didn't care what they put in any box. They labeled incorrectly. They don't deserve to be in your listing. We wrote a letter to you guys explaining what happened and what went wrong. The guy that stole the drugs from me got fired and we filed a police report. We ended up close to $4000. We paid over $4000 for the packing and moving and that was highway robbery for the kind of work that they did. Half the boxes weren't filled. The just charged for boxes. I have told everybody I know about what they did and they'll never hire them. They were punctual. Stealing things from your home is ridiculous.

That went OK. They honored the Big Deal.

I bought a Big Deal for 3 men for 4 hours and a truck. After being called to confirm that this job for a 1400 sq. ft. house would normally take 6 hours, and each additional hour after the first 4 would cost $150/hour, I was still fine with paying the additional $300, than what I paid for the big deal. As the day progressed, I did ask if the move into our new house would be faster than what it took to move our, they said yes, typically it is quicker. After buying donuts and lunch for all three men, I anticipated that the job would move at a quicker pace but to my surprise, the approximate time of the job lasted from 8:34 a.m. to 3:14 p.m. including drive time back to the office. I was then asked to pay another $750, on top of my Big Deal purchase, for which I was confused, as I was told this job would take 6 hours. Although the men did a great job moving my items, pricing was no calculated correctly and neither was time. I was in a state of shock, on top of an already overwhelming day. I would not use them again strictly because of their inability to take into consideration of how long a move will take and what it will cost.

It was fine. It took them longer than that so I ended up spending quite a bit more. They were here when they said they would be.

The movers were on time and finished the job quickly but carefully. The lead person even told us about a coupon they had on Angie's list so we could get a reduced price. Now that's service!

The guys were great! Three man crew worked steady for 5 hours and completed the job. It was a tight fit and they worked carefully to get it all in the trailer.

Sherman Movers did an outstanding job as usual. This was the third time I've used them. We ran into major problems early on beyond our control that slowed down the move and extended it well beyond the original 3 hours. The team was great and hung in there with me, despite the issues. Hardworking and careful with the fragile items. Will hire them again in the future.

Smooth move, great team (again), couldn't have been happier when we were done. This is a 2nd move in three months and I actually requested the same team because they were so good the first time. The Sherman Moving crews that I've worked with in the past 15 years have always been consistently efficient and careful. They'll always be my first choice in movers.

Brian, Fred and Sammie arrived on time, worked quickly and efficiently. They were professional and friendly.

They didn't have the equipment to move a very large children's playset. Jason responded before 8:30 the next morning. I appreciated the prompt response.

The guys worked hard and worked fast. I was amazed. I'd use them again, absolutely.

They arrived on time with a crew of 5 men and the truck was loaded in about an hour. We wanted to unload in Ann Arbor the same day and they were able to accommodate that. Two men drove the truck to Ann Arbor and unloaded. They were very helpful in placing the furniture. Care was taken with all of our furniture.

The experience with Sherman Moving and Storage was positive from the first contact to the last. When my wife called to schedule an estimate, the representative explained that for our house size they would provide 2 trucks and 6 movers at a flat rate per hour. That enabled us to plan what we would move and what they would move. We did all of the packing and moved a truckload of boxes and loose items ourselves. On the day of the move, I bagged all of the mattresses and disassembled all of the beds. Both trucks arrived within 10 minutes of the estimated time. The crew began work immediately and kept at a steady pace until everything was loaded. All of the crew members were pleasant and courteous. They did compliment us on our preparations and said it made the move go more smoothly. Once they left the house, the crew stopped for lunch. Upon arrival at our new house, the workers began unloading, while I directed where the items should go. As this house is 89 years old, with narrow stairs to the basement and a 90 degree turn in the stairs to the second floor, there were some challenges. It took extra work to get a refrigerator in the basement and the queen box springs upstairs. The crew handled the challenges well. It has been 2 1/2 weeks and we are fully unpacked. We have found no items to be damaged by the move. Safe, pleasant, courteous, efficient, and cost effective. What more could we ask of a moving company?

They were nice, professional, and on time. They did damage some of our things but nothing major. They were helpful in making sure we got everything unloaded in a timely fashion so that we wouldn't be charged extra.

They were very professional, showed up exactly when they said they would. We did a quick tour of the house, then they got to work. They stayed on task and loaded everything quickly and finished in about 4.25 hours. I would definitely hire them again, the crew was great. One note, be careful on the final charge, the office didn't know how to record my Angie's List credit properly. I bought the 3 people for 3 hours for $405, which saves you $45 (or 10% their usual $150/hour rate). You have to pay 150/hour for every hour over what you paid for. While scheduling (and asking how the process worked), I was told by email by one of the owners (well, I'm assuming an owner, his last name was Sherman) that my invoice would show a credit of $450 dollars. However, the invoice actually showed only the $405 that I'd already paid. They then calculated how much I owed by doing 4.25 hours * $150 / hour - $405 = $232.50. The actual total should have been $187.50, or 1.25 hours * $150/hour, as I should have had a credit of 3 hours ($450), not just the $405 I paid. The good news is, when I explained the issue and showed the tech the email, he corrected the error, redid the math, and all was well. I just wanted to put it on here in case anyone else attempted the Angie's List Buy Now and thought the final total ended up too large. Anyway, I would definitely hire them again, and there was absolutely nothing wrong with the crew, but the billing department seems a little confused about the Angie's List deals.

They showed up and backed the truck in to the yard. After getting the truck truck the called the shop. The owner of the company told them to keep trying to get out. After the truck was hopeless to get out they went another truck to pull it out. 2 hours later! Once the truck was freed they then moved to the other place. The very first thing they moved in they broke the Tiffany in the hallway. Once all was moved in and all was done the still charged me for everything. On top of that they never once asked to fix the yard that they dug up with there truck. Which costed me over $700 to have fixed by a landscaping company. And replacing of sidewalks that the truck crushed! I would never use this company and i would plead with everyone to never use them. Never once have they offered to pay back what they messed up. The owners words where " Well we cant stop things from happening! Maybe next time the guys will get it right" Then pulled off! It is a cut rate service and even the movers talked bad about the company!!

Had the 3 men / 3 hours for $350. Did not realize that they were 45 minutes away, so we only got 1.5 hours of work. They told us up front that it would take more than 1.5 hours to complete the work, but not until after they arrived. Would hire again if they were closer.

They arrived on time and were very professional and courteous. They moved everything we asked them to move including a very heavy old grocery store counter. They even reminded me to move the patio furniture which I had forgotten. I highly recommend them.

This is the second time I have used them...I requested the same team I had had in a previous move.. They were personable, speedy and patient. Used the Angie's list deal.
