We scheduled the job and on May 8th the floor was installed. Within 1 day, I had chips in 2 areas of the kitchen and 1 in my bathroom. After talking to Todd, he ordered replacement boards and sent out his guy to replace them. Again, within one day I had 3 more chips in the seams of the boards. After several phone calls and complaints, Mr. Wentico sent the mfg. and distributor of the floor out to look at the areas. They determined that it was installation error. Again, after several phone calls and weeks of waiting, finally they came out to replace the chipped laminate on June 26th. They also replaced the transition strip. After a couple of weeks the strip, which is at least 1/4 in higher than the floor has now cracked and broken where the length of the boards is shorter than the others. My floor is buckling in approx. 1/4 of the kitchen area and partially in the bathroom. Todd came out again after several unanswered calls and was supposed to get back with me last week. Haven't heard.

I had a nightmare experience. Very very very unhappy. It began very smoothly, fair price things like that. It turns out that some of the guys on the job needed a lot of supervision - tell them what to do and how to do it. The president of the company overcharged us and we had to renegotiate the bill - we paid the remainder and he tried to collect from us again. We had to buy the shoe molding and we knew the price of it. He told us it would be cheaper, he charged us triple. He kept trying to tell us we needed more wood after it had been measured and priced. He said he would return any unopened boxes and would credit us for it. He took the opened box we were told would belong to us. They were putting hardwood in the bathroom and they tore the wallpaper and said "what do you expect me to do?" I ended up having to have the bathroom wallpapered by someone else. Quoted at $9,950, paid $11,859.

EVERYONE I SPOKE WITH AT SERVICE TECHNOLOGY WERE VERY COURTEOUS AND PROFESSIONAL. WHILE RECEIVING OUR ESTIMATE, I WAS TOLD THAT THE PROCEDURE WOULD NOT MAKE OUR HOME DUSTY. AFTER THE CLEANING EVERYTHING IN THE HOUSE HAD A THICK LAYER OF DUST ON IT. WE RECEIVED A FREE ESTIMATE AND A DISCOUNT ON THE CLEANING (I THINK) BY SIGNING UP AT THE INDIANAPOLIS HOME SHOW.
