Arrived a few minutes late but got right to work - completed within 2 hours. Cleaned up all the screening he took out and didn't leave anything behind.

Very good experience. Shane was punctual, polite, and professional and did a good job. We had wanted him to make a screen for an existing storm door, but after examining the door he told us that he would not be able to make a screen that fit well with the materials available. I appreciated the fact that he told us this rather than charging us for something less than ideal.

They were very responsive. He was good about scheduling a time and was great with communicating what he could and could not do. He told me that he could not do the work, and to call the window maker if they have the type of spleen that would be needed for the repair. He was very cooperative and helpful.

Incredibly convenient to have Shane of Screens n' Things come to our home and repair the screens on-site instead of having to put large screens in the car and drive them to a hardware store and wait weeks for them to be done. He even showed me that the windows pull inward for easy washing, something we didn't even know! We also got an appointment earlier than expected. We will definitely use this contractor again. If only all experiences with a contractor went this well! This company alone makes our Angie's List membership worthwhile.

I scheduled a 10am appt. and Shane was at my house by 9:50. I had the screens on the deck and he replaced them. Within 30 min., the windows were complete. Great work Shane

The repair of the screens itself went fine. The problem came afterward. Shane apparently parked in a permit-only space on our street and received a parking ticket. He called me to ask how I wanted to "deal with it" after the job was completed. I told him that I was sorry to hear he received a parking ticket and that I wished it hadn't happened to him, but I also mentioned that we had temporary parking permits we could have given him and I wished he had asked for one. He claimed that we should have known he needed it. A lot of spots near our house are not permit parking, and he could have parked there if there was any doubt. I also mentioned that when you park your car on a city street, it is the driver's responsibility to make sure he can park there legally. I again told him I was sorry that he had gotten a ticket, but that we didn't intend to pay for it. He was really incredibly rude, snapping at me and saying "I'm going to call Angie's List and I'll see you in court" and then hung up on me. I understand it is frustrating to get parking tickets, but I find this reaction inexcusably rude and unprofessional. I would not be comfortable having this person in my house again.

I called Shane Johnson at Screen's and Things because the screen door to our balcony was warped and wouldn't close properly as well as because it was worn from cat scratching. He arrived promptly. He then figured out that the door was warped because the original screen was on too tight and was pulling in the sides. Shane replaced the screen with less tension and used a stronger screening material that our cat cannot destroy..This solved both problems: the warped frame and the worn looking screen. Furthermore because he recommended the stronger pet screening material, he assured me that no more distruction would happen in the future. Shane was personable, prompt and professional and I would definitely hire him again.

I had six window screens that needed repair. Two were basement window screens in window wells. Shane came to my home on time and with all the necessary tools. The basement window screens were a single unit. When you remove the screen you have to remove the entire window leaving a big whole. Shane quickly did all the repairs in the basement so I didn’t have to worry about anything getting into the basement. All screens were repaired within 30-45 minutes and he even cleaned up the debris that fell onto the basement floor from the window well. I am pleased with the work and the professionalism. Whenever I need screens repaired again, Screens N Things will be my first call.

I got him through the Big Deal. He did a good job. He was really nice. My doors were old and there was little bit more work. He had a suggestion to use my screen door. He was a little late, but he called and let me know that he would be late.

I originally purchased $160 worth of screen repair based off of a coupon offer I saw on Angie's List. After calling to arrange for services rendered, Shane was ready to provide a service call within 2 days of my initial call. He arrived on time (in fact a bit early, which was wonderful) and ready to work. Shane was friendly and worked around the 5 children within our household and the craziness of the garage sale we had going on at the same time. Shane worked in the backyard on all of our screen replacements. Upon seeing his work, we purchased even more windows to be redone within our house. He did a great job and we will certainly recommend him to our friends and family. We will use him again if we need screen repair in the future.

Great job by Shane! I emailed his company with what I needed and he set up what I thought was an estimate appointment only. Can't tell you how happy I was that during our estimate appointment he informed me that he had his tools and truck with him and could complete the job immediately. Shane did a great job and needed hardly any input from me. I showed him the screens that needed repair and left him to complete the job. Pros: Saturday appointments - great for those of us that work full time. Can do the work immediately instead of two appointments - estimate appt and then actual work date Great Pricing Great communication via email. I provided the info that I needed and instead of trying to sell me on a different product that I didn't want (other companies just wanted to sell me a new screen door, etc), he came out and made the repairs to accommodate me.

Shane called me back and made arrangements to come out, he took all measurements and even removed the broken door and took it out even before I had hired him to do the job, he brought the estimate to my house as I did not have the ability to print it out.He was very professional and very curtious.

Shane took his measurements, gave an estimate and got to work. He set up his work bench and completed the work on-site. I was pleased with the results and have recommended him to others. He seems to have found a nitch business for himself where other companies don't specialize in small jobs. He is very pleasant to work with and conducts himself professionally.

He charges a nominal fee. He is an accommodating and caring individual. He is a very pleasant agreeable person to deal with. He showed up at 8:00 on a Thursday evening to get the job done. He tries his best to get to the customers.

Shane was very flexible on when he could come out and give an estimate and on when he could do the work. He was very responsive to emails and phone calls. The most important part is he was very professional, friendly and took great care to ensure the screens were right. He rebuilt one a couple of times until it was perfect and not because I did not like the way they looked but because he did not think it was right. The price was also fair and reasonable. I would definitely recommend Screens & Things and will use him again.
