Royal Treatment

It was very good! I had to spend just a little bit more beyond the big deal amount because the vent was high up and hard to reach. It wasn't much but I knew that that was going to happen. The total cost of the service including the big deal amount was $70. He was very conscientious. While he was up on this ladder to get to the vent he noticed there was a bird's nest on our gutter which he removed. So that was just an extra added thing that he did that he didn't have to do.

This was a special deal on Angie's list. Dryer vent cleaned for $59. Friday was the day after the heavy snow. I called to see if they were working and was told they were. Mr. Davis, the owner, called about an hour before he arrived to tell me he was on his way. He arrived within the hours I was told. He volunteered to shovel off my front porch, which I thought was very nice. He and his helper immediately went to work and had the vent and the inside of the dryer cleaned out within an hour. There was a $15 additional charge to vacuum out the dryer where there was debris from some rugs I had dryed. I had been unable to get that out, so I was happy to pay the additional charge to get it cleaned. They are very nice and professional. I would definitely use them again. They do other services, so I may call them for other things.

Jim Davis came to my house during the appointed time frame. He called ahead of time stating he was running just a bit behind schedule but would still make it in time. He arrived and got right to work. We do not walk on the carpet with shoes and he did not object to removing his shoes since he didn't have any shoe covers. Jim was very thorough and efficient. We have a gas dryer and it was getting hot in he laundry room when it was running. Jim discovered the reason. Several years ago we had a birds nest in the vent that was supposedly removed by the builder of the house. They did not get it all out. Jim discovered this nest and totally removed it from the vent. Now our dryer runs more efficiently with full venting. I would use Jim and his company again for dryer vent cleaning.

Cleaned our second story vent and pipe from dryer through ceiling to outside. It hadn't been cleaned in the 7.5 years we have lived in our home. We feel lucky there hasn't been a fire after seeing how much lint was up in there. I arrived late for the appointment and they had been waiting on me for about 10 minutes. Thanks guys! Very professional, personable, and cleaned up all the lint flying around out of the vent. We will call them for other projects in future and recommend to our neighborhood association!

There was a little challenge getting the work scheduled, but the work was done very well. He was responsive, punctual, and professional throughout the service. The gentleman who came out was a very nice guy! I would recommend their service.

Cleaned out my dryer vent inside and out. They were very professional and personable and Jim is a dog lover.Thumbs up for me.

He came the same day I called. He called and said what time he would be here and he was on time. He went downstairs and cleaned the vent. He replaced the hose. He was very nice and efficient. He came in and did his job and he was not here all that long. It was $49 for the replacement hose.

Jim removed a bucket full of dryer lint from my vent on the outside of my house. He showed me the inside of my dryer where lint had collected for so long it was matted down (and I clean my lint screen out after every cycle). He showed me how to use a brush to get the lint that falls between the lint screen and the dryer cylinder. He was funny and polite and has a wonderfully sunny disposition. I will definitely be calling Jim back next year for my dryer - and most likely for some other jobs around the house.

They cleaned our dryer vent and installed a small basket device that fit over the outside vent opening. They cleaned out the dryer vent from the outside. A technician who worked on our dryer for another situation said vents should be cleaned from the outside and the inside.

The 2 gentlemen got here on time and started looking for the vent to the outside of house. I thought it was on the side on the house but it ended up being on the roof. One of the men got on the roof and started working to get the lint out of the dryer vent. The vent was packed. The door to the vent would not close it was so full. They finished the work and came into the house to tell us what they found. I was surprise to find out that we had to pay another $50.00 because they had to get on the roof. I will take half of the blame for the misunderstanding. I did not read the complete description of the service or did not understand what I was reading. I think the owner of the business has had this problem before. Maybe the description of the service should be written different. I was very pleased with there work and have recommended them to my neighbors.

I had Royal Treatment clean the carpets on the main level of our house and the stairs. I have had them before and they do an outstanding job. Jim the owner is a great guy and does excellent work. I have also had the dryer vent cleaned in the past and it was also well done. I highly recommend them.

Jim Davis was very professional and personable. The service was done very quickly and they cleaned up the flying dryer vent debris outside. My only wish is that a more specific appointment could be set -- I had the 9am-noon window and as it was nearly noon, I called to ask for the status of the appointment. The rep indicated "within the hour" and they did arrive within that time. The worked efficiently and provided answers to my questions. I would certainly use this company again.

The distance from my laundry room dryer vent to the outside vent is probably 25 feet. The vent was so clogged that the workers kept returning to their truck for more equipment to clear the vent. A camera was inserted into the vent so they could see on the monitor how severe the clog was. And it was severe! The workers were here 3 hours and could have charged me an additional fee but chose not to. I was kept informed of the procedures they were using and was shown the pictures on the monitor.

Could not get satisfactory appointment scheduled.

Service was excellent. They showed up on time and started the job right away. I was happy with the service

Provider cleaned dryer vent using roof access vent; it is no wonder my clothes took so long to dry. He found a very large buildup of lint stuck to the mesh screen at the outtake vent. The other time I had this done a different provider performed the cleaning but he went through the access where the dryer vent attaches to and it appears that was not real effective. Nixon was on time, professional, and explained/showed me everything he was doing. I was impressed.

The initial cost of the service was $59, but the contract clearly stated that an additional charge would be assessed if a trip to the roof was necessary, thus the additional $150.......nothing is ever easy for me. Royal Treatment took photos on my phone to show how bad it was and then they went to work. Great job, nice people! I would recommend them highly.

As expected. Business like, friendly, and efficient.

All in all, I'm pretty disappointed with this Angie's List Big Deal. The gentleman came out on time, and were quite professional. What started to turn the visit sour was when cleaning inside, they requested the use of my vacuum or shop vac. One would think that this is equipment they would have on hand? Additionally, when cleaning my dryer vent, they made the claim that there was a rodent nest inside my dryer vent, but didn't offer any proof. My dryer vent exits 10 feet off the ground, so I find it pretty unlikely that rodents managed to scale the siding of my house. Anyway, they asked if wanted them to continue. I acquiesced, and they continued work. It wasn't until they had finished the cleaning that they said that rodents were an additional fee, it was listed on the fine print of the voucher. I was charged an additional $85 for the rodent's nest. Then then asked if I would like them to install a rodent trap inside the line. I agreed, and paid an additional $40 for that. I was then informed that they were out of traps on the truck, but would be back in a few days to install it. It's been six weeks since they were here, and the trap has yet to be installed.

Excellent. I saw a large amount if lint that he removed, much more than I expected. Jim was very professional. When I told him that I was planning to replace my carpet, he suggested that I let them clean it. This made sense as he said that it looks like a lot if soap (carpet cleaner) has been used on the carpet. Well, that was exactly correct as I use a ton of soap. Jim explained that is the reason why the carpet is holding dirt. I have read other testimonials where Jim has saved the person's carpet so I will try Royal Treatment's carpet cleaning.

It went well. The dryer works again.

From the beginning it was a fantastic experience. I emailed them on Tuesday morning, and by Tuesday night, I had an appointment for Thursday, Septempter 26th. Unfortunately, the job before me ran a bit longer than expected, but they called and rescheduled for the very next day. Jim and Keith arrived on time and were courteous, friendly, and efficient. From start to finish, my dryer vent was clean in about 30 minutes. I would definitely recommend this company, they were great!

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It turned out fine. After he did the cleaning, he said that it was gonna end up being $45 more because he had to go on to the second floor to do the cleaning of the vent. I would like to have known ahead of time that I was gonna pay extra because it was on the second floor.
