Description of Work: Product is like no other. House looks amazing. The team that painted my house worked extremely hard and were very professional. And they did an amazing job. Great work!!!!

Description of Work: Rhino Shield sent a crew of 2 to our house to repair, caulk and coat it. They were prompt and did in 2 days what we were told could take 4 to 5. We're very pleased with the color, the way it looks, and the facelift the house got from filling holes, caulking and making minor repairs. The coating has a 25 year guarantee. We think it was a good alternative to sending the aluminum siding to be recycled and putting on new vinyl siding.

Description of Work: Painted aluminum siding on the second story of our house. (Approx 1800 sqft.) |On the upside, the paint crew was great. They actually explained the whole process much better than the sales rep. The paint experience turned out better than we expected. What is very important here is to do your research before you ask for the estimate. Though this company was a little more expensive than some other paint services, they have the quality product. There were a few downsides that occurred, but they were only minor. Though, if you weren't prepared for the unexpected, these could have been major problems. Of course the sales rep. has to have a 30 minute computer ad. and explanation of the product. After the presentation, we asked the sales rep. if we could have a few days to discuss it. He said "no." We had to take the deal immediately or turn it down right then. It was Thursday and the rep said that August was booked, so it would be Sept. before they could get to us. They would give us a week's notice when they would start. That was fine for us, we preferred Sept. So, the next day (Friday) they called and said they would be starting Monday. That meant that we had to reschedule appointments for that week. So, 1 week became 3 days. Next, on Monday, a couple of the crew arrived to spray wash the house and hand us a deck of samples containing 1500 colors. He said we need to pick out the color we wanted. As it was, my wife was away at an appointment that we didn't have time to change. The painter was kind enough to give me his cell phone number so we could text him our choice. Luckily, we had been to a few paint stores and had a pretty good idea of the color we wanted.(it was to be a different color than the original). We made our choice in 45 minutes and texted the painter. Now on Tuesday, the painter was back with a larger sample of our color. Would you believe a 5 gal bucket for a sample? He painted the sample on the garage door, which was going to be painted also, so we could see it larger. After thinking we could go a shade darker, that was when it was explained to us that it would cost us $350.00 to change the color. And I would end up with 5 gal. of paint I just rejected. My wife and I agreed to stick with the color we originally chose. That was something I don't believe the sales rep. made clear to us. It seemed to us that the sales rep. inferred that we could have more than one sample to choose from. The color turned out fine. Everything turned out great in the end. But, frustration almost sneaked in. So, be prepared for the unexpected. Also, some things may be said or left unsaid in the sales pitch, and the painter gets caught in the middle. Be kind to the painters and vent on the owner.
