Description of Work: We had contracted with Naturescape to service our lawn via their program. We repeatedly asked them to treat weeds and crabgrass that popped up after they purportedly applied treatments only to find out months later that the technician never came out. Even worse is that after identifying this miss he did it again. In the meantime, crabgrass and weeds invaded our lawn. Sadly enough, in speaking with our neighbors and friends who signed up for the same service, we've come to realize that we weren't the only ones receiving such poor service.

+ 0 moreI have used Naturescape for the last two years. The first year, they were the best lawn company I had ever dealt with. The grass was grreen, and the weeds were gone. This year, I have a few weeds in the front yarrd, but the back yard is a virtual sea of dandelion, clover and a few other broadleft weeds. I called repeatedly (4-5 times) to have the back yard treated. Although they came as evidenced by their yard tag, there was no evidence of spraying. The dandelions didn't even droop.

I called on Monday and they set me right up to get my lawn mowed on Thursday.( Same Week) What a joyous relief when I came home and my lawn looked perfectly manicured. + 0 moreI purchased a 5 Application Lawn Program in Feb 2015. This means they come 5 times to fertilize my lawn so dandelions, weeds, mushrooms etc..... do not grow. After the 1st application -I did have some dandelions pop up- I called them immediately and they were out the same week to my home to spray again. Now my lawn is lush, green and free of weeds. They do give special discounts for people with larger lawns like mine which is over 18,000 sq. ft. Worth a look to check them out. I will be using them in the future.

Description of Work: I bought a big deal for a yard aeration. I wasn't promised a particular date or time, and really wasn't concerned about when they came. They came and aerated my yard about 8 or 10 days after I placed the order. There are a lot of core plugs all over the place, looks like I got what I paid for. I'm satisfied.

I asked when next spray is due ( I was set up for 2 applications) she said it wasn'tand quot;t time for 2nd application, but she scheduled a free spray because they are quarateed sprays, ( That surprised me, because have had quit a lot of rain; plus, we have a creek behind our house.

+ -1 moreWe have a fenced in yard with kids and dogs so NatureScape always calls us the day prior to coming out so that we can have everything ready for them. We also had recently changed some of our landscaping in our backyard which made the aeration part a little tricky but they did everything that we asked of them and explained how it was done.

+ 1 moreI called Thur. afternoon and they were out Mon. afternoon. They blew all the leaves from around the house and fencing. Then they low cut the lawn mulching up the grass and leaves. Then they used this machine (looked like something from Dick Tracy) that they rode standing up on that sucked every leaf and blade of grass up. They bagged it up and took it away. They didn't just leave it on the curb for the City to pick up. It was the coldest day at the time the poor tech must have froze but did great work. What impressed me most was that after all of that work he came back the next day and picked up all of the loose tree branches in the yard and took those away as well. Our yard had never looked so good. It was a nice feeling to have a lawn that looked better than all of those around it. Not to mention affordable.

+ -1 moreThe first chance to provide service for mosquito treatment, after 2 messages, on the third call I finally got an answer. We made an appointment for them to come out, they never showed. I followed up and CSR reassured me that they would get it done within the week when they were in the area and they would just leave a sign so I would know they had been there. A month later, I called to let them know, no need now as it is getting quite chilly outside. A few weeks later they sent a direct mailer regarding lawn aeration, hesitant, but also a businesswoman, I wanted to give them a second chance to earn my business as it seemed they were looking for new clients. I called to set an appointment and they advised they would get me on the schedule and be out within 7 to 10 business days. I have followed up once, and still no show. A month later, I am now giving up on trying to do business with them. If you truly want something accomplished, would recommend not wasting your time with this company.
Description of Work: They spend money on marketing materials to gain new customers; as a new homeowner, I was one that their Ads had worked on. Called to hire them twice, once for mosquito treatment and once for lawn aeration.

Description of Work: Of course the answer to approximate amount we spent is not zero dollars because we have spent great amount of money for our continuous lawn & tree treatments through the years. We are not asking for money for the damages but we are asking for the replacement of the trees that died while in their care. We have had Nature Scape service our lawn, TREES & SHRUBS, aeration, insect & grub control, etc. for years & every year we have agreed to all their services that they recommended so our lawn, trees & shrubs look healthy & growing. Every year, I did call & brought to their attention & met with them & showed them the trees & a particular shrub that were not doing well! Even though I had no problems with the staff or servicemen because everyone was friendly especially the lady who took the calls, but the problems with the trees persisted & got worse. Finally some of the trees died & we had to pay to remove couple of trees & dig out the stumps & haul it away & it wasn't cheap. A couple of weeping willows that we planted a few years ago & were doing great but when Nature Scape took over, one had completely died & the stump is still in place and the other is looking as sick as they left it. As many times before, during & after the problems with the trees got worse and actually died, they did nothing about it. Finally, the truth came out. I was told that the hose from the truck wasn't reaching the Weeping Willows & therefore, they didn't treat it. I had paid for all the trees to be treated, and not what they chose to treat. They could have taken the Chemicals in a watering can & gave it, not to ignore it and kill it. The same non-treatment of another couple of trees & the specific shrubs that are at the same location which is a little out of their way, they ignored. What's even more strange is that I have NEVER seen anyone spraying or doing anything regarding my trees in the backyard, we only found the bill hung on our front door. Our backyard is visible from every room. There is no way that we can miss anyone working in the back yard but we never seen any servicemen from Naturescape spraying or deep root fertilizing trees which we paid for several times a year. NATURESCAPE HAS A 100% SATISFACTION GUARANTIED POLICY BUT I HAVEN'T SEEN ANY ATTEMPT, ANY OFFER, ANY APOLOGIES, NOTHING EXCEPT ONCE WHEN THEY MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH ME, SAYING, " LETS SEE WHAT WE CAN DO." A MAN IN CHARGE, MANAGER OR THE OWNER OF THE BRANCH(DON'T KNOW WHICH), CAME & SAW ALL THE PROBLEMS & I HEARD NOTHING MORE. As of a couple, three weeks ago, don't remember the exact date, I called a number that I found for customer service & explained everything & wanted the regional manager's name & Phone# but she didn't give me. She said she would tell him to call me. No one did. I feel that we have given them all the chances to respond, react and do something but NOTHING has happened. ZERO SATISFACTION HAS BEEN GUARANTIED! We want our trees that they killed replaced by them.

+ -1 moreUnsatisfactory...Their TX did.not take care of the weeds at all. When we had the drought kast year they called me 4 weeks after applying a Tx to say they would do a Tx the next day. I told them NO,there was a ban on watering the lawn and the lawn looked dead,plus it had only been 4 weeks since they sprayed.But when I came home from work there was the flag in the yard so I knew they sprayed.I called them right away and they told me to look at the name and address on the invoice and it was for a neighbors yard TX that we received.Naturally I was concerned that there may be a difference in what they sprayed,but she could not tell me what they did. She told me to mail her the invoice and she would compare the Tx and call me back. They never called back,never apologized and we will never use them again.We now use Cragens and love .

+ -1 moreTheir prices increase yearly, but they are still the best price for quality service. You can pay at the beginning of the year for a discount. They are honest and don't force more services than would actually do any good. The couple of times I had weeds come back between visits they came back out free of charge and tried something different. They always come when they say they're going to and the employees are professional and focused. The office staff is friendly and easy to work with. I've never had any problem with anyone I've dealt with. I've shopped around and used other companies, but nobody provides the same level of service.

+ -1 moreNo one called on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Talk about pool customer service. It must be nice to have so much business that you can ignore potential customers for 3 whole days. I received a and quot;Blockedand quot; caller ID on my phone on Friday, 9/30/11. **TEN** minutes later, there was a knock at the door. and quot;Kenand quot;, the office manager was at my door. I asked about the lack of a call ahead and he told me that he blocks his caller ID before making calls. I also asked about the 30-60 minute notice I was to have been given. He said that 10 minutes was the best he could do. I then asked about the 3 day delay in calling me back and why I wasn't called to set up an appointment time, etc. and that it was just dumb luck I was home at the time. I also told him that I was supposed to have been called back on Tuesday. He replied that they and quot;don't do that.and quot; You don't call potential leads back? You just show up? Call me old fashioned but I expect to be called back after being told I would be. I also don't expect that people will just show up at my house after giving a and quot;blockedand quot; caller ID, 10 minute notice. Ken also got argumentative with me by saying that his receptionist would NEVER have told me that someone would call me back the same day. Wow! That's quite a statement Ken. What about Wednesday? Thursday? I told Ken that all of the phone lines in my office are recorded and that I would have his receptionist recorded. I chuckled and told me that he'd like to have a recording of that because, if it did happen, he'd have to write her up for breaking policy. Ok, Ken...17 years owning a multi-state business I grew from scratch happened from good customer service. Not telling a customer that they shouldn't expect a call back and that you're going to write up a receptionist for telling a customer that she would have someone call them back the same day. Why isn't that normal? Customers expect their calls to be returned. Anyway, I'm not going to help get some lady a and quot;write-upand quot; just for doing what she should have been doing in the first place. Moving on, Ken said that he would tour the yard, write up the quote and then come back and ring the door bell so that he could go over it with me. I told him that was fine and that I would wait on him to finish vs. going back to work since I wanted to go over the quote with him in detail so that I could compare it to my current provider. After an hour, I went looking for Ken. He was nowhere to be found but his quote was attached to my front door along with a note asking for a copy of the audio tape so that he can write-up his receptionist. It would appear that Ken, the manager, is more willing to write up an employee for giving good customer service than he is to provide it himself. We'll choose another company to service our yard. One that values its customers as much as they do their staff.
Description of Work: I called on Tuesday 9/27/11 about getting a quote for treating my yard and trees. I spoke with the office receptionist who stated that someone would call me back. I told her that I already had two other bids and was looking to replace my existing provider. I asked for a call back the same day (I called at 9:43am). She told that "shouldn't be a problem" and that someone, probably Ken, would be calling me. I gave the lady my phone number and told her that I would need a call ONE HOUR before someone came out so that I could ensure that I could be there. She said that the person might not be able to give me a full hour notice and I told her that I needed no less than 30 minutes and was told that 30 minutes shouldn't be a problem.

I left for vacation and came back and my lawn was covered with silver dollar fungus, because they didn’t use fungicide. I believe if they would have used fungicide when I alerted them about the fungus it wouldn’t have spread as much. They were extremely polite and pleasant though.

+ -1 moreI received a brochure in the mail for lawn aeration. Normally I do not use what I get in the mail but I checked the company in Angie's List and gave them a call. They said they would do the job when they were in my area and would leave an invoice on the door. That worked for me. I would not even have to be at home. As it turned out I was home. The gentleman gave me the invoice and did the job.

However, they spilled some fertilizer at some point and they didn’t pick it up. They didn’t seem to think that it was a big deal. We should have told them about it, but we didn’t. We’d probably use them again in the future.

They stayed on top of a special request to make sure they got several areas of our yard out side of our fenced area. Worked around our dog in the back yard. I had called around several places for estimates on comparable service, naturescape was very reasonable...
Description of Work: Because I was late starting this year, I did 4 out of 5 treatments in varying combinations of, fertilizer, weed control, and insecticide.
