hMike originally removed rock from an area I wanted to asphalt. He was supposed to remove the gravel and leave most of it beside an area by the garage. I don't know what he did with it, but it was gone. The asphalt did look good, but the sealer looked thin, and the cracks were not filled. There was sealer on my grass and on areas of concrete along the edges and on my walk. When we called him to seal the asphalt the when it needed it, he would not respond. This went on my weeks before he finally showed up. His wife, I believe, who answers his business phone would be rude and frustrated when he would not return calls to his customers. Finally, he resealed an area in front of the garage because it was peeling off, and it only lasted about 4 months, when winter hit, it peeled off. When I tried to reach him, he would not return my calls. FINALLY, I called from a different phone and he answered. He said he would stop to check on it, and never did, of course. I would not recommend him.

I explained the drive had a couple of areas that held water and in the winter it was a hazard when snow and water would freeze and I didn't want to slip and fall. I talked to Todd, the lead man, who said he would grind off the surface and expand the drive from the carport out to the end of the drive so cars could get around if someone was parked in front of the garage. Also he said they would put an inch and a half top coat of fine asphalt on top and pitch the drive so no water would stand anywhere. I paid half down and the other half on completion on August 10th. The driveway looked great. Todd said to cool it off I could put a sprinkler on my drive. When I did, the driveway had more puddles then before the work was started. I called him the next morning and Todd told me not to worry that when it rained the water would push off and no puddles would be there. Since that conversation, it has rained and I still had more puddles than when he started. I called Todd to come back out and the following is a list of my calls and interactions with him: September 13th - No return call September 14th - No return call September 15th - No return call September 16th - No return call September 21st - Talked to a lady who said he would call back but still no return call September 22nd - No return call September 25th - Todd called and said he would stop by but never came or called September 26th - Lady said he would call. Todd came by and said they would redo the drive and be back Monday or Tuesday but again never showed. October 11th - Called and left a message. No return call October 12th - Called and he called me back to say he would be out tomorrow. October 13th - Todd came out and chalked the low spots on the drive and said someone would be by tomorrow. October 14th - No one showed up. November 1st - Call Todd at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. He called and said they would be back November 3rd to work. November 3rd - Called Todd at noon to let him know I was waiting on him to show. He didn't show up or call. At 4 p.m. I called the office to ask for the owner but never heard back. November 4th - Called the owner again and lady said he wasn't in. I gave my cell phone number and told her he has not returned my phone call. She said, "I don't know what to tell you!" Called again at 1:30 p.m. and lady told me he had called (he didn't) and she said I was rude about her not giving him the messages. I told her I was sorry but was very frustrated that nothing has been resolved. I then called Todd at both numbers and told him to call me back to resolve the issue. Todd called and said he was waiting on the weather and that it should be in the 60's to lay top coat. Todd told me it would be warm enough on Monday or Tuesday and would call me on Sunday to firm up the plans. I never heard from him on Sunday. November 8th - Todd called at 11:30 a.m. and said they would be here Wednesday to work on the drive and that he would call if they had any problems. November 10th - Called Todd 9:30 a.m. and told him it was bright and early but no one was here. Todd said he would find out what was going on and call me back. After 15 minutes, he called and said a piece of equipment would not start and he would show the crew to start it and they will be over shortly. No one showed up and no one called. I called and left another message for them to call back. November 11th - At 9 a.m. I call both numbers for Todd to call back. I called the office and left a message for someone to call me. I called again at 9:30 a.m., 10 a.m., and finally at 12 p.m. I call and spoke with the lady and told her Todd must be avoiding me.
