We went to Lumber Liquidators to replace carpet on my second floor and stairs. We have hardwood downstairs already. The store folks were nice and helpful, and we got a good price on hardwood that matched (closely) the stuff we already had. We went through Lumber Liquidators for install as well. But Lumber Liquidators contracts with RW Flooring for the install process, and RW Flooring then hires independent contractors to do each job. I would never trust this again. RW Flooring scheduled our install for 2-3 days, on the Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday between Christmas and New Years. So we took days off work, moved everything around the house, boarded all the pets, etc., to get ready. The installers showed up Monday and Tuesday and worked, then showed up Wednesday morning to say they couldn't work because it was raining, and they'd be back the next day (New Year's Eve), and then only half the crew showed up on Thursday. That half of the crew finished the flooring upstairs. The stairs weren't done at all, but they just left and said they didn't do stairs and didn't know when the rest of the crew would finish them but it wouldn't be that day. So there we were with a house that was trashed, piles of unused hardwood and supplies everywhere, a stairway that was wood framing and plywood treads, a holiday weekend coming up, and we had to start going back to work the next week. RW Flooring called a few hours later to tell us that the crew wasn't coming today to finish the stairs--which we already obviously knew--and they'd be there later. When I explained that it was a little inconvenient (sarcasm) to just bail on a job like that, they said the contractor was sick and couldn't come in and they didn't know when he could come back. But they offered to reschedule for a Saturday if that was less inconvenient and they'd get back to me. We heard nothing through the weekend or the Monday or Tuesday of the next week. Then Wednesday morning, as we're getting ready to leave for work, the installer shows up. No notice, no warning. No way to prep the house, adjust our work schedules, or board any of the pets. I called RW Flooring, and got the rudest most insolent customer service response in my life. They offered to reschedule, even though they were already unpacked and starting, and that they wouldn't take any responsibility for any inconvenience--even though they said someone from their office should've called to tell us the job was scheduled for the day. He reiterated that these were independent contractors and what they did wasn't anything that was RW Flooring's fault. His tone, attitude, and approach to a paying customer with a clear issue where his office had dropped the ball was "We've got our money, go away." He also let me know that the post-job walk through has to be done with the installer, not anyone from RW Flooring. So the big holes in the flooring where they face-nailed improperly now have to be corrected by the already-unreliable install guy. Again not RW Flooring's responsibility, he said. Buy hardwood from Lumber Liquidators if you want. As far as I can tell, the product is fine. And the store employees were good to work with and followed up on supply concerns. But the company passes of the install aspect of the process to another company who then passes it off to independent crews that you don't hire or vet. And every time one of the companies pass off that work, they pass off responsibility. Ultimately, you're left paying to be at RW Flooring's convenience. Don't fall for that trap like I did.

It is very nice and very lovely. My one issue with them was that they would not call me, I would have to call them. They were very helpful when I went to the store and they have great quality flooring.

Purchasing was easy, good selection. Free samples to take home. Had to bring the flooring home myself to avoid a $300 delivery fee, but that was ok. They didn't have some of the thresholds in stock, and did not call me when they came in, I had to call and check when they got there. The install was great, took 2 days. Professional work, nice people. Looks great.

I ordered 600 sq ft of carbonized strand bamboo flooring on April 14th. The order was in approximately 1 week later. I utilized their professional installation services. The floor was installed on May 3rd and it looks amazing.

I installed everything myself. Had a few issues along the way. Initially they loaded the wrong flooring into my vehicle and I had to make a return trip to exchange. They sold me some transition pieces that were supposed to go with the floor but didn't fit well and forced me to play around with the floor a bit to make it work. Also, they told me I didn't need a particular accessory product, but when I later read the instructions for the floor it indicated that I did in fact need it. The floor overall seems pretty nice, definitely seems higher quality then the stuff you'd see at Home Depot, Lowes, etc. The flooring is not in a high traffic room, so hopefully it will hold up for an extended period.

Lumber liquidators was great when we bought our floor. They answered our questions and we layed the floor ourselves using their advice. We THOUGHT we bought the hardest wood with the best finish. BELLAWOOD. turns out to have been a awful choice. We seasoned the floor material as directed by leaving in living room for 2 weeks before laying. We layed the recommended roofing paper to protect against moisture from crawl space. We layed floor leaving recommended gap around floor for expansion.and boy, did it expand. Because it expanded so much, the boards pushed themselves up and out of staples. Almost standing some boards on thier sides. We had to remove 3 strips of boards the entire length of room. The boards also warped becoming U shaped with raised edges. When we first layed the floor it looked great but we noticied that it seem to scratch easily. 6months later in June, the warping and buckling began. We live in an 18yr old home with crawl space. no flooding or other water damage. Our home has central heat and air. We just had usual summer weather with humidity. We call lumberliquidators who refered us to Bellawood. Bellawood has now rejected our claim saying moisture was cause and that is not covered. My belief is that the floor was not cured properly. Bellawood took the complaint over the phone, did NO onsite assessment, just sent a letter dening our claim. I guess they believe a home in midwest with normal humidity is a problem. We will probably have to take them to small claims court.I now have a wood floor that is uneven with gaps of missing wood. I will have to remove all the floor material and start again. I paid $5000 for a floor I cannot use plus my unpaid time in laying, removing and replacing it. I DO NOT recommend Bellawood.

The experience was great overall and I would definitely recommend them. The only thing I might add is that it seems they could use a little more help. There was a decent wait on the Saturday we went there.

The flooring is excellent quality, I felt the selection was good, and reasonably priced. I installed the floor myself and was very satisfied with the quality of the product.

WE ORDERED THE FLOORING JANUARY 5TH AND THE MOLDING AND TRIM PIECES WERE BACK ORDERED. WE DID NOT ACTUALLY RECEIVE THE MOLDING UNTIL MARCH 15TH. I ENDED UP HAVING TO CALL THE CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER LINE AND WAS ABLE TO GET IN CONTACT WITH THE PRESIDENT OF THE COMPANY, TOM SULLIVAN, AND HE SAID THE MATERIALS WERE IN STOCK AND THERE WAS NO REASON THAT WE SHOULD NOT HAVE HAD THEM. HE THEN SENT THE ADDITIONAL PIECES BY UPS BY-PASSING THE INDIANAPOLIS STORE. WE ARE SATISFIED WITH THE FLOORING, IF YOU ORDER FROM THEM DO NOT PICK IT UP UNTIL ALL OF IT HAS ARRIVED.
