Jeff was very prompt and professional. He was there for an initial consultation. He was a wealth of invaluable information. He provided great input on layout, design and finishings. He filled in the missing pieces on the project.

I checked on Angie's List and decided to use them. The work they did was good. Their design looks very good and very professional.

Jeff and Kellie did an assessment of the space which included an overall assessment of the home first. They spent several hours looking at the room and the house, taking pictures and asking questions about our wants and needs for the space and our lifestyle. They had us gather clippings from magazines that further clarified our likes and dislikes. Within two weeks they sent us a scope for the project. Within a month, we were shown floor plans of the design to choose from. We met at their office to be shown the actual samples and photos of the pieces they had selected and how it would all be put together. We had our furniture and new room completed within 2 months of that date. Jeff is extremely knowledgeable of the history of design and architecture. He explains each piece he is considering and has a thorough knowledge of the quality of the components of each piece. Jeff and Kellie each understand design concepts and did extensive measuring and planning when planning the space. It was wonderfully stress free on the delivery day as they handled all the vendors completely. I am sure we have a uniquely designed great room now and one that reflects our tastes accurately. We were so pleased with the process and inspired by the finished product that we have already engaged them on another project for our home.

I contacted Jeff upon seeing his designs on a blog. He promptly called me back and we made plans to meet once I moved back to Indianapolis and was settled. Having brought virtually no furniture with me, Jeff was asked to provide me with a design plan for my house. He is great at listening and learning what I liked and didn't like - down to seat cushion and pillow fill. The first step was getting floor plans drawn with furniture placement. Jeff and his team answered my questions and were open to making changes. Once we worked through this phase, we moved to the furniture selection. Being a hands-on client, I elected to go to Jeff's studio where furniture selection, fabric swatches and paint selections were revealed. Once approved, orders were placed and Jeff kept me up-to-date with a project chart when electrical / paint projects needed to be completed, when furniture would arrive and window treatments installed. Jeff is an excellent communicator - always ensuring I was informed of the status of the project, always on time (and confirming appointments the day before), and has a terrific eye for design and designing specific for his clients. He is a wealth of information and was very good to refer craftsman to me since I was "new" to the area. I look at his work as an investment. My house looks great and I've received many compliments on the design. I trust Jeff's judgement and very happy with the results. And on top of that, a really good guy.

When my fianc? and I moved into our new Zionsville home, I was eager to take on the interior design on my own. I had dabbled in design when I renovated an old Arts and Crafts-style house over the course of five years and received plenty of accolades from family, friends, and strangers alike. In examining our new home, the lay out was straightforward, and I had a few ideas to get started. However, it became readily apparent that I faced several design issues. There was the awkward kitchen nook, which also needed to serve as a formal dining room. Additionally, I wanted to incorporate a modern-transitional style in the living room, yet the adjacent kitchen appeared to have an old world Mediterranean feel and I questioned how to marry the two styles for a cohesive look. Given these and other design challenges, I feared that I could easily make an irreversible expensive mistake. Also, my new fianc? and I were throwing our first Housewarming party in which our respective family and friends were meeting for the first time. So we had five months, not five years, to make it all happen. Through Angie?s List, I discovered Jeff Sheats Designs and called upon them for an initial consultation. Jeff Sheats and his design assistant listened while I explained my personal vision and style. After a short visit, they simply got it --they knew exactly what I was going after. I quickly surmised that Jeff?s talents went beyond those of a local furniture store ?designer? and hired him. Jeff knows how to cater to his clients? style and needs. For instance, at our next meeting, Jeff sat down with me and immediately took command of the situation. He closely examined what I had done on my own up to that point. I was relieved when he told me that he was able to use the furniture that I had already chosen on my own as well as incorporate new pieces that he would chose for the spaces. He was also able to incorporate a few treasured items that my fianc? and I bought while traveling together. Within only a few weeks, Jeff had developed and formally presented a beautiful custom design for our living room, foyer, and kitchen. He had chosen gorgeous furniture, hand-made Italian pottery, Venetian light fixtures, beautiful rugs that perfectly fit into the space, art work, paint colors, and accessories. It is also noteworthy that he recognized my passion for design and allowed me to be involved in the entire process. He implemented some of my ideas when appropriate and guided me gently toward a different direction when ever needed. Additionally, one design challenge was to find the perfect piece of artwork for our living room?a process that I had found intimidating before meeting Jeff. Jeff served as my personal guide and introduced me to the local art galleries. He took me on an all-day tour of the various galleries, presenting several pieces until I finally found the one that I liked. The only problem was that the particular painting was the wrong color and size. Nonetheless, Jeff worked with the gallery owner and commissioned a similar work of art that would meet our design specifications, and he ensured that that piece was painted, delivered and installed before our party. These are merely a few examples demonstrating Jeff?s ability to ensure that his client?s specific needs are met. A week before our party and on schedule, Jeff and his team prepared our home for the big reveal. When I walked through the door and first laid my eyes on the space, I was so overwhelmed. I couldn?t believe that this magnificent space was our home that we get to enjoy every single day. They had transformed our ordinary home into an extraordinary one. In the end, I highly recommend Jeff?s design services even if you think you can do it on your own. You may save money in the long run by avoiding expensive mistakes and Jeff will take your space beyond what you thought possible.

The result was outstanding. Jeff and his team are very thorough, precise,and have great follow through. They studied my existing home and my taste and got it right on the first try. I did not accept all of their recommendations and they were OK with that. This was the first time I had worked with an interior designer so I was a little surprised at how quickly the fees accrued. While I received good value, there could have been better expectations established at the beginning regarding total costs. They were helpful in recommending ways to keep the project costs down and also did not charge some fees to help keep the cost closer to the original estimate. I plan to use again

He was great, and we were very happy with him. He is on top of things. However, with him you pay for what you get. He was very expensive. He was very detail oriented and does very good job. He was very friendly and professional.

Jeff and Josh worked tirelessly with us on this project. The team was extremely professional, and all of the plans were a great help to us as we completed most of the work ourselves. The project began with the design process, and the design team was excellent with providing us distinct design options from which to choose from. Once we had selected the design, they were flexible in tweaking it per our small comments. The design process was quite complicated due to the challenging layout of our existing kitchen and great room so we were very impressed at the options they came up with. They took what we thought was an impossible space and gave us our dream kitchen. Following the design process, they helped us in the selection of materials and finishes from wall color to cabinetry. They were very patient us during this process, and we used a combination of vendors Jeff recommended and those we had worked with before. All of the vendors Jeff selected were very professional and people we would work with again. Although we went over the quote Jeff initially gave us, a big reason for this was adding to the scope of the project - we had originally planned to work on the kitchen only, and we ended up completing the great room project at the same time and used Jeff's services to help us. The rooms are now open to each other and the design concept is cohesive between the two. We couldn't be more happy with how they turned out.

I didn't think they were for me.

We are incredibly happy with the new look in our house, it does not even seem like the same space. Jeff and his team (love Josh) started by listening to what we wanted and developing a plan. The end of the design process was a very professional presentation of the final design concept including drawings, plans, samples, pictures and other media. They showed us an idea we loved that brought together both our separate tastes in one unified concept. We had also asked Jeff to manage the remodeling overall, including management of subcontractors. Some were his and some put out for bid. Throughout this 6 week process, Jeff and team demonstrated strong project management. As usual in a remodel, we changed the scope a couple of times and Jeff rolled with the changes well. He also developed excellent solutions when unforeseen difficulties came up. For example, when the quality of the new light fixtures as delivered from the store was unacceptable, he ensured they were remade and reshipped.

I could not be happier with the new look! Given the features of the area that we could not change, I was doubtful that anyone could put together a coordinated plan. Jeff is very focused on determining the client's style and way the space will be used; creating a finished space that is a reflection of the client is imperative. To this end, Jeff spent a great deal time talking with me and has even developed a questionnaire to survey the client's sense of style, special interests of family members, etc. so that he can incorporate these factors in the master plan. Jeff and Joshua developed 3 color plans (walls, flooring, window treatment, textiles). Jeff coordinated all of the work with the the suppliers and individual installers. No project is without some hassles and unexpected problems but Jeff handled all of these; scheduling was seamless. Jeff and Joshua understand construction, are well-versed in the history of design. Simply, they are masters designers. I love my new rooms!

Overall the design plan is exactly what we envisioned for our home and is true to the original architecture. If you are looking for a design team to work on your mid-century dream house, look no further!

The design team was transparent about the range of their services and their pricing, replete with a written proposal about what they would do. While more costly than others, their suite of services far surpassed our expectations. For example, their initial fee included three on site visits to check on progress. The design team was extraordinarily punctual, friendly, enthusiastic, sensitive to the needs of working with a minority couple, and responsive to all phone and e-mail communication. They were available and eager to respond to any questions about our project and went the extra mile to ensure that we were happy with the outcome. For an additional fee, they ordered all of our products themselves, tracked and expedited their shipment/delivery, and inspected each parcel for damage/accuracy. Finally, they worked directly with the suppliers to resolve any issues and did so quickly. In short, the design team served as our advocates throughout the challenging construction experience.

They were outstanding in all aspects. We actually met with them for a couple hours and then decided later to not use their services on this home, but definitely the next! They were SO good that we felt compelled to write and rank our experience! Thanks Jeff & Josh!

Jeff Sheats came to our home to advise us about decorating our 1974 outdated tri-level with a basement. He could have done work for us, but instead he was honest enough to advise us that the best decision for us to make, was to move. This was based mainly on the high possibility that we would not receive a return for investment into updating our kitchen and bath, mainly because of the neighborhood where we reside. He is a very nice person and is very honest. We are now going to build a new home, thanks to his advise. We plan to have him come to help us to decorate and design an interior that will function beautifully (his motto reworded somewhat). Thanks Jeff-you're great. We appreciate not doing anymore business with you-yet!!

END RESULT IS A FANTASTIC, STYLISH, AND FUNCTIONAL BATH THAT TIES-IN NEW AND RETRO ELEMENTS INTO THIS 1930'S HOME. I COULDN'T BE MORE PLEASED WITH THE FINAL PRODUCT! JEFF AND HIS TEAM WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO MAKE SURE THIS PROJECT MET OUR EXPECTATIONS. IN FACT, IT FAR EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS!

I LOVE THE DESIGNER BECAUSE HE IS BOTH RIGHT AND LEFT BRAINED. HE HAS THE CREATIVITY YOU WANT, BUT IS ALSO VERY ORGANIZED. I LOVE THE OUTCOME, AND OUR EXPERIENCE IN GENERAL.

THE OWNER RESPONDED TO MY INQUIRY PROMPTLY, VIA A PHONE CALL. HE ARRANGED A SITE VISIT WITHIN ONE WEEK. HE SPENT ROUGHLY 2 HOURS AT MY HOME REVIEWING THE BASEMENT PROJECT AND OTHER FUTURE PROJECTS. HE MEASURED AND DREW A LAYOUT OF THE BASEMENT ROOM WHILE HERE. UPON HIS DEPARTURE HE STATED THAT HE WOULD HAVE A PROPOSAL TO ME WITHIN ONE WEEK. I RECEIVED THE PROPOSAL APPROXIMATELY 1 1/2 WEEK LATER. IT WAS A 5 PAGE PROPOSAL WITH 2 HANDWRITTEN PAGES WITH MINIMAL DETAILS ON THE PROJECT (NO DRAWINGS) AND 3 TYPED PAGES OF STANDARD LEGAL JARGON REGARDING HOW HE WOULD BE PROTECTED IN CASE THINGS WENT WRONG ON THE PROJECT. I WAS EXPECTING AT LEAST 1-1 1/2 HOURS ADDITIONAL WORK TO BE DONE ON THE PROPOSAL, GIVEN HIS HOURLY RATE, BUT IT APPEARED THAT HE HAD NOT EVEN SPENT 15 MINUTES ON IT. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE PROPOSAL AND DECIDED NOT TO HIRE HIM. PERHAPS MY EXPECTATIONS WERE TOO HIGH, GIVEN THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME I HAD WORKED WITH A PROFESSIONAL DESIGNER?

JEFF WAS A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH. THIS WAS MY FIRST EXPERIENCE UTILIZING INTERIOR DESIGN SERVICES. HE DELIVERED EVERYTHING HE STATED HE WOULD DO AND EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS.
