J & C Well Drilling, Pump & Plumbing

We were having low water pressure so we called J & C well and drilling to come and check it out. They came out on a Saturday and gave us a quote. He came back out on Monday and replaced the well pump. Our well is hard to get to so it was not an easy job. We also had a leak in our tank so we had him replace it. He did a great job! Very professional and kind! If we need a plumber we would call him again!

Showed up on time. Very knowledgeable with well pumps. Hard worker. Cleaned up mess.

I started a holiday weekend with my grinder pump alarm sounding. Pump would run but took a very long time to clear the pit, plumber who put the system in was zero help and refused to even come look at it. He suggested calling the company he subcontracted the install to (which I had forgotten) they came and said it wasn't the pump it was fine, appeared to be a blockage in the outgoing lateral to the pressure main. The bad weekend kept getting worse, city came out and said the main was clear and there was noting they could do. They suggested digging up the lateral and replacing it. Packed up the family and went to the in-laws for the rest of the weekend, found J&C who answered my questions and advised over the phone some things to try. Scheduled a service call for monday am (which for many was a holiday), he had car trouble but came out and is the first person that I've had experience with that knew grinder pumps and was able to determine that whatever the blockage was was gone and that there was no need to dig up the yard and driveway, replace the pump and pit etc. Through no fault of James, I had a bad weekend, but he saved the day and so far the system has continued to work without fail.

I contacted this company because my grinder pump system was overflowing. They came out the next day and informed me the grinder pump had to be replaced. Three days later they came with the pump (This was August 2011) ($2500). They installed the pump and it seemed to be working fine for 4 months. Then the grinder pump alarm went off again and the system started to overflow again. I contacted them and even though they stated 24 hour emergency service, they refused to come out to my residence. The next day they came to my house and they stated it need another part. They ordered that part and two days later (cost $350). After about a week the alarm went off again. I tried to contact them a couple times and could get no response. I then contacted the Sewage Treatment plant that installed the system and recommended another company. That company came out and the second part they put in they put in backwards, the base of the pump they installed was cracked, and they put a rubber hose on the end of a pipe that was pressurized. Needless to say, I wouuld never recommend this company to anyone.

He was so punctual! Saved us money. Accomplished what needed to be accomplished and left. I referred him less than hour later to a friend, who was happy too.

The two reps from Crystal Clear - Mr. Kimes, and I'm sorry I didn't obtain the second gentleman's name, were very polite, patient in explaining what needed to be done and what had occurred, and were very conscious of minimizing the mess made within the house. They arrived at about 1130am. The job was finished about 430pm. They fully explained to me what to do after 24 hours to remove the chlorine smell from the water. The repairs were done 4 days ago. Everything appears to be working smoothly since their departure. Two pieces of curious activity: 1. They arrived in a large sedan with a full trunk and almost full back seat (the company truck was awaiting mechanic work by Mr Kimes at the end of the day). 2. When payment was rendered, at the request of Mr. Kimes, the owner I was asked to make the check out to him directly instead of the the company name. He provided identification without hesitation. Both were very cordial and understanding; I'd call them again.

He came quickly in response to an urgent situation. He seemed to have the equipment and the knowledge to take care of it. They were both polite and cleaned up well. They would inspire more confidence if they paid a little more attention to personal appearance. Both looked ''scruffy.''

Mr. Kimes was excellent! I called on a Sat morning, he returned my call within the hour and worked until 10:00 at night. Mr. Kimes and his partner were very pleasant people. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

I PHONED THEIR OFFICE IN THE AFTERNOON AND SET AN APPOINTMENT FOR THE FOLLOWING MORNING. THE WORKERS ARRIVED ON TIME AND THEY FINISHED THE JOB WITHIN 40 MINUTES. THEY WERE COURTEOUS AND THE COST WAS COMPARABLE TO OTHER COMPANIES. I ALSO REQUESTED AN ESTIMATE TO REPLACE SEWER LINE AND THAT WAS PROVIDED BEFORE THEY LEFT. GOOD EXPERIENCE OVERALL BUT THEY DID LEAVE BEHIND THE ROOTS AND A LITTLE SPLASH ON THE SIDING.

KIND OF SHAKY AT FIRST. THEY KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING AND THOUGH I DID NOT OBSERVE ALL THE STEPS THEY KEPT US INFORMED. I HAVE NO STANDARD OF COMPARISON AS TO JOB PERFORMANCE, BUT I WAS TREATED WELL BY THE TEAM LEADER AND GOT THROUGH UPDATES ON THE WORK. PROBABLY PAID A BIT MORE THAN STANDARD, BUT WORK WAS DONE CORRECTLY.

THEIR PRICE BEAT EVERYONE ELSE'S. I WAS PLEASED WITH THEM, THEY CAME RIGHT OUT THAT SAME DAY.

I HAD A HARD TIME FINDING A COMPANY TO THAT WOULD TAKE PAYMENTS. THIS COMPANY TOOK A CHANCE ON GOOD PEOPLE. MY HUSBAND RECENTLY GOT BACK TO WORK AFTER 8 MONTHS OF UNEMPLOYMENT AND WE JUST DIDN'T HAVE $1600 (AT ONE TIME) TO REPAIR OUR SEWER LINE. THANKS TO THE MEN AT CRYSTAL CLEAR WE GOT THE JOB DONE!! THEY WERE FRIENDLY AND REALLY WANTED TO HELP US GET THE JOB DONE. I GAVE A 50% DEPOSIT AND SPLIT THE REST UP IN 3 PAYMENTS. THEY GOT TO WORK RIGHT AWAY. THEY WERE ON TIME AND VERY COURTEOUS. THEY WERE GREAT!!
