They are really good at trying to price match. I went for carpeting for basement and I showed them what I was getting from the hardware store and they matched it. It's a little easier to work with them because they are smaller and you can go back and forth, and I like that they are more personable.

Around the end of September 2013, we went to the store to get quotes on tile for two separate locations for a remodel. We worked with sales rep Mark, who did a great job of taking care of us during first two visits. Our remodel contractor then had some difficulty with timing of part of the remodel so follow-up by us was light until that was worked out, which was through all of October 2013. Once we were back in full swing with the remodel, we visited the showroom again on 11/3/13. We were sort of greeted by a sales rep with red hair and glasses, wearing a green north face jacket. I say sort of greeted because he never introduced himself and never made any effort whatsoever to help us order about $4000 worth of tile. Upon looking us up in the system (which is about the only thing he knew how to do correctly), he then proceeded to tell us that we had one order in the system and nothing else. The order in the system that he found was something already purchased several months prior and had nothing to do with what we were looking for on 11/3/13. We asked him to help us find the tile and he was completely unresponsive. I think the most we got out of him was "well if we had that it would be in this rack," pointing to a carousel rack of tile that had over 100 pieces of samples on it. Frankly at that point, we were through and just told him that we would take our business elsewhere. Overall, this place had the material that we need but frankly, they acted like they were the only game in town on the last visit. I hate this attitude in sales and will never do business with a rep like that. They get a huge F for the massive failure of ignoring people who literally have cash in hand and are ready to spend it.

This is our second experience with ICC. We told them the first one we were not satisfied but we gave them a second chance. Our mistake. We waited weeks for the tile...delivered items several times....we would call...we would call several times...no response...we do not believe all the order was delivered as we were short....we had two orders---one we paid for by check and the other by credit card---the amount we paid for was not delivered---they only fulfilled and looked at the first order and not both We asked to order more tiles and we would pay for them---even though we had paid. We called 4-5 times and each time Dave said he would get back to us---he never did....after last one, we ordered on line with another provider The owner really needs to take a serious look at their employees....we worked with someone who was mentiioned in another review. I feel like the service was poor and our money was stolen. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.

Initially, we were very pleased with ICC - their showroom offered lots of unique choices, their prices seemed reasonable, and the salesperson was helpful. The experience after signing the contract was significant different. Here's the general areas that ICC did not meet our expectations: Timeline - late. Everything was late. The flooring didn't arrive until 2-3 weeks after promised. The installation took 2-3X longer than promised. Oversight - none. All work was contracted out, and at each phase of the project something was done incorrectly. ICC had very little oversight of their contractors. Demo - not all necessary flooring was removed. Install - wrong flooring was installed in wrong room. It was frustrating babysitting every detail of the job to ensure it was done correctly (I sent more than 50 emails and phone calls to our sales rep to fix each issue). Even when details were communicated in advance (and re-communicated) to our sales representative at ICC, they still went wrong. Professionalism - lacking. Our salesperson, David Little was often short tempered with us when communicating our concerns. ICC severely disrupted our lives for almost 2 months during the timeline adjustments and installation headaches, but showed little concern. Cleanliness - bad. When everything was done, our house was left a dirty, dusty, dinged up mess. We're still trying to work through getting it cleaned up. All said and done, the wood, carpet, and tile installation looks decent - which is what is most important. But it was a very bumpy road to get there. For the money we paid, I expected a lot more - less babysitting, more oversight, better customer service, and better responsibility for their mistakes. I agree with the other reviewers - use their showroom to get ideas (it's a very nice showroom) but then buy your materials and labor somewhere else.

The estimate went great. We were told that we were looking at a max of 12 boards that would need to be replaced and roughly $300 for the work that needed to be done.We already have the boards to replace the current ones, so the estimatewas based on time and labor. Nearly a week went by and I finally got a call back from Ben at ICC. He told me that we were looking at a total cost of $675. I was pretty surprised, based on the conversation and estimate the gentleman who came to our house initially gave me. I asked for a breakdown of the $675 and was told that it based on repairing 12-25 boards and 4-8 hours of work. I told Ben I thought that was a pretty significant range, and asked for a call back with another estimate for 12 boards. As of today, I've yet to hear anything back from ICC Floors. Thanks for posting a response to my review so quickly. A phone call from Ben or someone else at the office to follow up and explain this to me over the phone would've been helpful and appreciated. At this time, since I haven't ever heard back from Ben or anyone from your office after our last conversation over 2 weeks ago (other than this review), I will look into other flooring companies on Angie's List.

We've worked with several people at ICC Floors. They are always professional, helpful, and punctual. Their floor room is beautiful and even if the salesmen we are currently working with is not there, another staff member is happy to help.

The overall experience was great and I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

We spent a lot of time looking for the best deal when replacing most of the carpet in our home. ICC floors by far had the most competitive prices. We especially liked the "one price covers everything" concept. No additional fees for steps, moving furniture, and tear out/ removal. Even the taxes were included in their price tag. They have just about every type/color of carpet you can imagine. The installation was completed by subcontractors who were very polite and worked quickly. Gave them Bs for responsiveness and punctuality because there was no follow up phone call to confirm install date/time and at times sales person was hard to get a hold of for questions.Overall great experience, we will definitely use them for our next flooring needs.

When I first walked into the ICC Floor showroom, it took a while before one of the salesmen approached me. But, once I was helped, the salesman was helpful and was right in what he told me about the pile of the carpet we went with. He came to measure the areas to be done and provided a quote timely. The crews that did the work were hard workers and were friendly. We are very happy with the final results.

ICC Floor failed on all levels of services -- * slow in response - The first home visit and measurement was taken by Brandy on Jan 15th, 2013. It took her a month before she could get the sample to us. She put together an initial estimate on Feb 21st, 2013, 5 weeks later. However, the initial estimate omitted "heated floor system." She didn't get the quote for the piece of metal transition until 4 weeks later. By March 13th, she finally provided the final estimate. * lack of knowledge of product -. Brandy couldn't locate the name/manufacturer of the product in their own showroom. * POOR communication - Brandy was very friendly and communicative initially, but it was like pulling teeth in order to get any deliverables from her, such as a quote, estimate, heated floor contractor, brand/manufacturer's name, etc. It took numerous calls from me, even visit to the store to get any piece of follow-up from her. The last blow came when we placed the order and paid in full, Brandy assured me that the order would arrive no longer than 10 days. However, the next day, Brandy found out that one of the tile pieces is the on back order for 8-10 weeks. This has huge impact on our schedule for contractor and other hardware delivery. When I spoke to the store manager Mike about possible expediting the order, he was unprofessional, insisting "there is nothing they can do. " He even shouted "If you contact the President of the United States, there is nothing he can do!" I turned to online vendors, they had no problem securing immediate delivery of my order, at a much lower cost. We are very DISAPPOINTED at ICC Floors and will NOT use them again.

The wood was a little swollen, but the service technician did a great job working with it. He was very conscientious and paid attention to clean up the mess when he was done. He really wanted to make sure he did a good job and that I was pleased.

Starting with Megan's outstanding customer service, I can say I am very pleased. The hardwood seamlessly flows from one room to another. My only complaint is that the installers could not speak English, which made communication with them difficult. Even telling them where to put furniture after they moved it was a bit of an issue, however their flooring installation skills were excellent. I asked that they not use my master bathroom, and they obviously did. (Extra work for my cleaning people.) I was not happy about this and did complain to ICC. ICC told me that they tell them not to do this, but who knows, maybe it is a communication issue. I was assured that this would not happen again on any subsequent job.

From the sales people to the install teams everyone was very professional and helpful.

They fit us in to the schedule between the initial and final plumbing work, allowing timely install of toilet. Work was done well, one person was able to do the entire install. The only issue was a delay in the arrival time, and not keeping us posted on the arrival. Would have liked to ahve better communication.

Very well. We were very happy with the price of the flooring as well as the quality. Their installers showed up when they were supposed to, they were very friendly, respectful and competent. They cleaned up after themselves and did a great job. We would definitely use this company again for future flooring needs.

Overall the process went great. Shawn at ICC floors evened suggested a way to possibly save money on the job that I did not think of. We received one other quote from a different carpet company and ICC's quote was the same price but for better carpet. Overall the process went better than I expected and the wife is very happy with the new carpet. We are already thinking about using ICC Floors for our next flooring project.

I went to the showroom and met Megan Giles. She was very helpful in working with my color scheme and the printouts of tile ideas that I got off the internet. I went home with 3 good sets of tile samples and was able to choose the best one. The order process went smoothly and as the job progressed, ICC quickly handled the needs of my contractor for professional grout and special underlayment materials. She gave me a good discount because I was working with a contractor. For the quality of the selections available and the time spent on making good choices, it was very good value for the money.

The materials have been excellent, and everyone who has shown up to do the work has been professional and quite competent. It's the "showing up" part that has been the issue. Not everyone has been punctual, and, on some occasions, people have not shown up on the days--or at the time--promised. In addition, our contact at ICC has failed to follow up adequately to make sure the work is scheduled and completed. We have so far paid only have tot total contract amount (the amount I have listed with this comment is the amount we have actually paid), so we are surprised at the lack of concern about finishing the job.

They were awesome. They came in and got the floors down, they were very professional and everything looks so much better.

I would NOT recommend ICC for any product installation. I purchased hardwood flooring and carpet from ICC, primarily based on their reputation (the sales representative, David Little, regularly boasted about ICC being an “Angie’s List Award Winner”). After giving my initial deposit, ICC was able to order the flooring and begin initial installation within a week. However, as noted on this website, ICC uses subcontractors to install their products. The subcontractors hired by ICC to complete the hardwood flooring portion of my project failed to demonstrate the required craftsmanship and professional demeanor throughout the installation. The installation was scheduled to require two days until completion. However, due to the unprofessionalism of the ICC subcontractors, the install took longer than a week. The ICC subcontractors failed to properly reduce project mess, by not isolating installation to specific areas, having the ceiling fans on during demolishment and installation, leaving duct floor registers and wall vents open and exposed to dust, and failure to clean-up at the end of each working day. In addition, the ICC subcontractors regularly left the saw running (table saw, with no legs) in the front of the house. My neighbor had routinely came over to the house and turned off the saw due to the danger it presented to the children and animals in the neighborhood. The overall install completed by the ICC subcontractors was merely amateur. The hardwood floors were damaged due to poor installation technique, with significant gaps and uneven cuts. The installation left the kitchen cabinets and baseboard molding damaged (scratches and dents). I had immediately contacted our sales representative, David Little, and expressed my dissatisfaction with the end product and the overall events that occurred on the install. It took 11 weeks for ICC to finally “complete” the project, coming sporadically during the period and replacing boards and making minor cosmetic repairs (ICC used an internal-service crew to “save” the project). I do not understand how ICC could initially order and install the hardwoods in approximately seven days, but the repair process took approximately 77 days. After the 11 weeks, the hardwood floors did look better compared to the initial install, but I still have issues about the excessive putty used and some of the gaps between the boards. Due to the situation with ICC, the initial unprofessional install and the repair of the install (with significant board replacement with putty to fill gaps/and gaps still remaining between boards), I had to spend an additional $500 on a professional inspection to provide the comfort that the hardwood flooring was properly installed. The inspection of the hardwood flooring did not find any significant flaws in the install, but it is very frustrating that the transaction with ICC required the additional cost of the inspection. In addition, due to the ICC subcontractors failure to control the mess/dust, I have to pay an additional $500 for duct cleaning (with any home improvement project, I expect a mess, but some of it can be controlled and managed by completing some of the items noted above). The ICC subcontractors have contacted me and told me that ICC is collecting compensation from the subcontractor for the damages and replacement materials required after the initial installation. Therefore, it appears that ICC has been successful with securing the majority of its margins related to this project. It does not seem right that I am the party that is impacted for ICC’s poor decisions. The consequences of ICC’s failure to contract with talented professionals should not be absorbed by the client. Therefore, don’t suffer from the decisions of a greedy business -- instead hire an Angie’s List Award Winner that still maintains their commitment to the customer and to offering a quality product. As mentioned, the sales representative, David Little, constantly highlighted ICC’s reputation on Angie’s List. However, David Little and ICC must learn that you must maintain a reputation by continuing providing exceptional service. ICC has grown significantly in the past few years, and seems to be losing sight of what is important to the success of their business. With regards to the carpet install, ICC used a different subcontractor and I did not experience similar install issues as the hardwood floors. I have been told that carpet installation requires different talents than hardwood floors. However, I have communicated to David Little on several occasions that the carpet installed was not attached properly on the stairs, and he keeps telling me that the service crew will schedule a repair. But, the repair has not been scheduled or completed. This is not the customer experience that I would expect from David Little’s “Angie’s List Award Winner.” My recommendation would be to use the ICC showroom for their wide selection of flooring, and then hire another floor installer to purchase and install the product. I would recommend an installer that does not subcontract the projects, therefore eliminating the risk associated with a subcontractor and having installers that are more likely to have a proven/known reputation and pride in their craftsmanship.

We were in a bit of a time-constraint for this project since house guests were arriving in 2 days.Carpet was being replaced in the living room and dining room on the main level, and in four bedrooms on the upper level. It is also important to note that the installers had to deal with ALL of the furniture in these rooms. Project manager Luke Smith was a pleasure to deal with. He told us that the project would probably take two days, but that his installers would do their best to wrap it up in one day. Personally I thought there was no chance they could get all this done in one day!The two installers arrived promptly at 9am and got to work immediately with the removal of the old carpet, padding & tack strips. As I have mentioned above, they had some pretty hefty pieces of furniture that they had to reposition in every room. After the "tear-out" of the old stuff they thoroughly vacuumed so there was no residual from the old carpet, pad or tack strips. The installation of the new carpet went great and all the furniture was put back exactly where it went. The two installers finally wrapped everything up at about 8pm.Luke had gone to the distributor to pick up the carpet at 6am that day, and including the loading of the truck, the installers put in a 12-hour day with virtually no breaks!Overall we could not be happier with the whole project. Carpet selection was outstanding, and the workmanship on the installation could not have been better. We will DEFINITELY use ICC for our future floor covering needs!

The installer arrived with the vinyl flooring and associated materials for installation in two baths and laundry room at 9:00am. We were told the job would take about four hours. However, the installer had to work alone instead of with his helper until four pm, and consequently we were without toilet facilities before the plumber arrived at 4:30pm to reset the toilets. Not a comfortable experience; however, the installer was quite professional and did an excellent job.

I was disappointed with the representative not going for bat for me and trying to find a better match. I feel that since he did no do it well , and all that he can say is to reinstall the hole condo floor. I asked about will i run into the same problem and they said yes. Now I have another flooring company working on it.

ICC stared project on January 27th On time the 27th and 28th Late 4 hours on the 30th Late on the 31st 2/1 no call no show 2/2 no call no show 2 different times- 2 different supervisors came out after complaints-- neither had an idea why they were there Threshold had to be 100% redone- was put in incorrectly -instead of being level- tilted out toward floor and leaked significant water during a shower I have never worked with a contractor with such poor service and technical skills along with non existent communication

They came to our house twice within the last 1-1/2 years. They were reasonably priced and did the best installation job; when the plumber came to reset the toilet he said it was the only time in his life that he did not have to adjust the base of the toilet because the tile was installed so well. When they laid the ceramic tile they had to almost rebuild the floors. The installers did not really speak English but they were wonderful. I will use them again in the future.
