It took me a long time to schedule this, I was afraid he was not going able to come out. He was prompt and efficient, and he did an excellent job. It was an aluminum ladder that he installed and aligned. He cleaned up well after he was finished. Everything was great!

The installer, Paul, was punctual for the estimate and for the day of service. He called both times to notify me he was on his way. He got right to work doing each random job and cleaned up after himself as he went from each one. He knew exactly what he was doing. The materials he had me buy beforehand for the job he explained clearly and I had no issues purchasing them. I will definitely use the Handyman Connection and Paul again for more jobs around my house. I've been looking for a good handyman to have in my address book and I just found him. The price came in at the estimate. The price for the 5 small jobs seemed very reasonable to me. Paul also gave me a quote while onsite for a couple jobs I want done down the road. Would highly recommend them!

Went Great! Andy was very knowledgeable and professional. Explained how the work would be done and went to work and got it done without any delay. Immediately cleaned up area after each job was completed. Also gave me recommendations on future projects I anticipate having done.

Installer had never installed one before but didn't tell us until he finished. He came back several times but we finally had to ask for someone else that knew a little more about the system. It was installed incorrectly and the second installer said he corrected it. 1st installer lied about placement of system which is important for proper function. He also muddied carpet and tried to hide by placing a throw rug over it. Out of the 10 items on the installation checklist, five items were not done by first installer. Receptionist at company was rude and unconcerned about our problems. We will never use this company again nor would we recommend them.

Fine - was finished in about 1/2 hour.

They stuck right to the estimate they was given to us.

I called to set up an appointment. Scheduled it over my lunch hour. Handman did not come nor did he call. I called them and they said the handyman got side-tracked and can get there in another hour. I said no thank you i'll get another handyman. Horrible punctuality and professionalism. Handyman never called and office unapologetic. Don't use this service.

The gave me a quote and were able to do the work the next day. They were punctual and notified me before arriving at my home. They were neat and cleaned up any mess before leaving and did a great job.

After he gave me an estimate on the price, I agreed to the work and he said he would have to come back to do the work and I would be contacted by the main office to set up the appointment. Four (4) days later I called the main office because I had not received a call to set up the appointment. They then told me it would be another week before the work could be done. This was a simple 20 min job and I could not wait a whole week for the work to be done. I cancelled the order. If you want a job done fast, don't call Handyman Connection

Two words for you. Lonnie Schauwecker! He was our assigned craftsman, and he was awesome. Conscientious, skilled, with a high attention to quality and detail, we would and will hire him, through Handyman Connection, again in a second. I remember once we paid him a compliment, and he said, "I do jobs like I was doing them for myself". That wasn't just talk. That's exactly how he performed. Handyman Connection has a very appealing pattern to how they manage these jobs. You get a detailed free estimate (and if you're like us, that's refreshing, after being accustomed to paying $80 just to get someone to your home), a firm start date for your project, and our craftsman (Lonnie) stayed on the job as persistently as he could weather permitting. I assume this is their norm. If you have an issue, which we never did, you can raise it with H.C. directly. We never had to test this. Another cool thing: You can buy your own materials, and avoid any mark-up. You can also cooperate with your craftsman if the materials are out of your range of knowledge or ability to transport. We did both. We went and shopped for and purchased our own tile. But we had our craftsman purchase and pick up the lumber for the fence for us, since we had no means of transporting it. Either way, there was no cost mark-up to us. We were given materials receipts for the lumber and items that our craftsman picked up for us. So, yes, we recommend this company, and Lonnie in particular.

Everything went fine. They were very good.

I had quite a list of items that needed completion and one handyman was able to do it all. When Greg reviewed my list and we walked throughout the house he indicated this would take multiple days (as I suspected). So most of the work was completed during a few days one week and the kitchen floor was completed over two days the following week. I couldn't be more pleased. There was so much to do we discussed what order and confirmed I had all the materials. After insulation was blown in the porch ceiling and the porch ceiling put back in place you couldn't even tell the ceiling had been down before. Greg inserted fiberglass insulation around new windows that had been installed, then miter cut and installed interior trim to conceal the gap between new windows and the existing window frame. He did this to every window in the house. He also replaced a window frame that had been damaged during window installation. He moved one ceiling fan and installed another new ceiling fan. Greg also installed wire shelves in the basement. But the biggest single task, and the most daunting, was to install a new linoleum floor in the kitchen. Many flooring companies looked at the "soft spot" in the kitchen of my 1916 home and didn't want to tackle the job. It seemed they wanted to lay new linoleum over the old linoleum and call it a day but that approach wouldn't fix the nails working their way up through the old linoleum. Greg removed the old linoleum floor and opened up the floor so we could see the joists underneath to determine the problem. He repaired the floor, making it smooth for the new linoleum. All appliances were removed from the kitchen for the work and then reinstalled. I'm very happy with the workman and the quality of work performed. I will use Handyman Connection again.

So very impressed from the initial phone call to confirmation and call from service man he was on the way. They made it a seamless process and reasonable price also.

It began great. Constant communication, quick replies to my questions and concerns, and willingness to work with me on materials. This worked for about a month when Handyman connections suddenly began taking longer to respond to my inquiries and previous work that was given to them was not getting done. An example: One project, replacing a garbage disposal, a sink sprayer, and some parts of a sink faucet I have completely lost communication about. The first repair took a bit to get someone out there because they were so booked, but the repair didn't work. I asked if they could go back out and just replace the entire faucet this time. We made arrangements for it and I was told there was an appointment to go on August 4th, but never heard anything else about the work there. I asked for invoices for two of the projects last week and still not received them, and I'm not entirely sure if one of the projects was ever actually completed. I asked for a rebid to finish work on the second one and still have not received any word on it. We will be finishing out our projects with Handyman Connections, but we need more reliable communication from our contractors. Update: The company is not filing a lien against one of our properties for work that was never completed. Per the service agreement, they were to investigate electrical issues in a property for up to two hours at $70 per hour and report back with a final bid. Their subcontractor went ahead and did the work without approval and left the job half completed. Handyman Connections then told us it would be another $160 to complete the job. We never received any kind of bid for the total work to be done or the results of the investigation that we were being invoiced for. This "job" start to, well, partial completion took over a month because of Handyman Connections lack of communication.

I made arrangements for them to come after work to give me an estimate for the work I wanted done and was pleasantly surprise that they went ahead and completed the work that evening. I could not unlock my deadbolt without lifting up on the door handle to raise the door enough for it to slide open and it had become impossible to lift it enough to get it unlocked. During a storm, the wind had knocked the lamp off of my light pole and it broke so I had purchased a new one but needed it installed. The young man who came to do the estimate said he could do all the repairs. He adjusted the door and locked and unlocked it several times to make sure it was working smoothly. He then attached the new light fixture to the pole and hung my towel holder. He was very pleasant, completed the work quickly and cleaned up when he was done. My first experience with this company is excellent and I will definitely call them again for my next project.

I thought they were very professional. I thought that the price was very reasonable. I felt like they knew what they were doing. There really wasn't any surface marks on it. It was a handyman service which is what I wanted. They didn't try to sell me something that I didn't want. They knew that I just wanted to get this door to fit so that I could have another bedroom. They came out and did it.
