I liked their craftsmanship. I don’t remember how much they charged me; but it was reasonable.

. The carpenter was very maticulous and did an excellent job. He took 3 days to complete the job and I felt he was a little slow but cold weather was setting in and he worked around this. I have no complaints of the work and I was paying by the job, not by the hour. I did feel they were a bit expensive for the work performed but it was work I could not do and it was done to my satisfaction and I am very particular about how things are done. I would hire this company again.

.He was really nice. It was a little confusing because on the free estimate he wanted us to sign it said they would start work on it. We weren't looking to hire at that time. We just wanted an estimate so we didn't sign it.

Everything went exactly as anticpated. Garbage disposal removed and cleaned and checked to make sure that it was working, then the problem was determined to be electrical, wall switch taken apart and examined, reassembled and garbage disposal works like new.

They were timely and prompt, they cleaned up well after themselves, and checked to make sure we were on the same page as far as what was expected for the job. I was satisfied with their work.

Fantastic. Ron was on time, picked up materials from lumberyard, took paint samples to Porter to match, and replaced damaged wood in a very tight, and dangerous spot on front of home. I couldn't be happier with the quality of work, and the match of materials....looks great.

Everything went great. He check my entire roof and performed the above services. He also ran water through my downspouts because he noticed debris in them. This had nothing to do with the repairs he did to my gutters but a kind gesture on his part.

We started out knowing that we were doing many projects, and we were assigned a handyman who said he would take care of all of the projects for us. After giving us a list of materials, we had him start working. We started out with a list of projects and added to it as we saw the need, so Handyman Connection drew up a second contract for those items. The handyman was friendly and knowledgeable, and most of the projects went pretty well. It took much longer than originally anticipated, probably about double the amount of time, but the handyman was pretty easy to work with and worked around our schedule when needed. There were some quality problems with a few of the jobs, in my estimation the handyman got a little over his head in stating what he was capable of doing, and in what time frame, and in one of the cases (crown molding) found himself unable to do the job at all. Handyman Connection really stepped up to the place to resolve these issues once brought to their attention. They sent out different handymen to correct the quality issues and we are now satisfied with the work they did, and we certainly recommend the service as they stand by their work - which is important when considering any kind of handyman work! With the second persen they sent out, the crown molding especially was a very nice job and went very smooth! I would probably point out that this was quite a large job - maybe larger than their run-of-the-mill standard customer. I certainly feel this is a capable company that can run with the best of them on larger jobs, and I think they were perhaps also a victim of the original handyman getting in over his head and not communicating everything. I think a good takeaway from my experiences is the following: 1. Keep in good contact with the Handyman office, even if your handyman says he is already doing that. 2. If you have multiple projects that are larger like plumbing, electrical, crown, etc, you may want to know that handyman connection has many people who are experts in these fields and you may want to have different handymen complete different parts of the projects - I think if we had gone this route instead of a "jack of all trades" handyman it would have gone smoother. Keep in mind I mean larger stuff like building a tile shower or doing crown for an entire house, run of the mill plumbing projects like installing a bar sink on the kitchenette, or replacing a fiberglass shower with a new one the same size went just fine with the original handyman. 3. Finally, if there are any quality issues the home office is very nice and responsive about taking care of them. In closing, I am happy with the quality of work and would not hesitate to recommend this company. :)

I am mostly satisfied with the work done. I was there for most of the job and was happy with the punctuality, and overall workmanship. I did notice some of the gas line was installed over exiting pipes as opposed to above it. this is a neatness issue but rather minor. They do charge a bit more than I was expecting.

I would probably use again, but I will try somewhere else first. If they do good work and show up when they say they will they'll keep my business.

In fairness to the company, it may just have been the particular person who represented them and not a reflection on the entire company. The repairman came out one evening to give an estimate. He was VERY talkative and took minimal notes on what needed to be done. He told us that he could do all of it, plus a few things we discussed for future. The estimate took much longer than we anticipated, but we were glad to have someone who could do all the jobs at once. We had to special order the blinds, so about 5 weeks separated the estimate and getting the work done. When the repairman came back (prompt as scheduled) he did not have the list with him. He hemmed and hawed about which items he should do first and then said he didn't have the spackle, so would need to go to the hardware store (Lowe's is very near). One of our fluorescent bulbs was the incorrect size so he picked up the correct size when he bought the spackle. We needed very little spackle so he kept the rest and did not charge us for the purchase. He did check the washng machine hose, but did not push the machine back to its original position. I am on crutches and could not re-position it myself. He did change the bulbs. He acted like he had no idea how to raise a chandelier up a few hooks higher. I almost told him not to even try, but I needed it to be done. On the second light, he didn't know how to do it, so I told him not to try. On the electrical outlet, he determined that a 3-way switch was needed. We think he should have looked at it well enough when he came to give the estimate that he knew what the repair would take. I am not an electrician and did not know that we needed to buy a 3 way switich. He said once we got it he could come back and fix it. When we have had work done before, repairmen bring what they need - or tell you what to have handy. He did do the spackling around the window. He hung the new blinds, but this is after about 2 hours doing the other little things. He had talked so much and hemmed and hawed that with every sound of his drill I was afraid that I would have excess holes in my walls. However he did use a level and he did hang the blinds satisfactorily. We determined that he could not hang the existing blinds in the new windows upstairs, so he deducted that price from the esitmate. There were some outdoor things that he was going to do, but the weather was not good. He said he could come back and do those and replace the electrical switch. He asked if I wanted him to close out this estimate and start a new one - or keep this one open. I definitely do not want to have to deal with the same repair person again, so I told him to close our the estimate and I'd pay for that part of the work. I do not plan to use Handyman connection again, unless other repairmen are dramatically different. I did not put a deposit on future work and plan to find a company in which I have more confidence. In short, I expected someone to be more efficient, prepared, come in, get the job done, and be gone.

Tom Beenken came on Monday to review the needed repairs and give an estimate. He had an opening in his schedule which allowed him to come the very next day to perform the work. Tom was friendly, professional, conscientious, on time and skilled--really, everything you could want in a handyman and in anyone helping with a service at your home. I will definitely use Handyman Connection in the future and would ask for Tom again. Note: Both the person I called to arrange the appointment and Tom made it clear that the estimate (and the amount shown above as the cost for this job) does not include materials, but is for labor only. This was not a problem as Tom worked with me to get the materials.

They did a good job. I would highly recommend them!

I had purchased their coupon where they would do $ 150 worth of carpentry work for $79. I was very satisfied with them. They showed up on time and finished on time. They did a professional job. They did it as per their contract with no hidden charges and I was very happy with them.

I had a great experience. I submitted a request online through the Angie's List website. I got a call back within a matter of hours. We set up a time to have Tracy come out to give an estimate. Tracy came out, I showed him the things I needed done, and he gave an estimate. I was told on the initial phone call that the estimate process involves the handy (Tracy, in my case) looking at the job, and then calling the office to get a price quote. Tracy did just that. I was satisfied with the price, and setup a date right then to have him come back to do the work. The price does not include materials. Tracy offered to get the materials that he would need, and said he would give me the receipt and I would just reimburse him for the cost. This was great!! This way, he got exactly what he needed, I didn't have to try to find the stuff in the store, buy too much or too little, etc. For my two jobs, the materials were only $39.91, and yes, he gave me the Lowe's receipt.

HANDYMAN CONNECTION We were satisfied with the work that Handyman Connection, had done. I think there was some confusion about what we were buying. When he came out, we understood that we were buying 2 hours of labor. So, when he was looking at what we wanted to have done, he told me that the 1/2 hour that he spent seeing what we wanted done was part of the 2 hours, that we paid for. My husband called him back and said no that isn't what we pay for, so he fixed that. Then he came out and did the work. He was very professional.

I didn't use them for the gas line job because I got a better price from another company. I used the Big Deal offer on Angie's List for the soffit and siding jobs and that worked very well. The guy was very good and did a nice job at a reasonable cost on both occasions. They have a group of people who they work with and the experience depends on whom they send. You would be well off if you are lucky enough to get one of their better people. The guy that came out and did my work was a real craftsman and he really loved his job. His name was Ron Cunningham and he came and worked and didn't stop until he was finished. I had some other things that I needed done and I talked to him about it, but he said that he didn't have the skills to do it and recommended other people that he thought could do a better job, which is very good. He was a top quality worker.

They had a couple of nails afterwards, but I also know it is very hard to know where to add nails afterwards when things move just a little bit. They did a pretty good job. Their price was exceptionally good.

They did a great job. We had availed of the Big Deal offer on Angie's List for the job and did not have to pay anything extra. He was very personable and did a very nice job. He was willing to explain everything that he was doing and why he was doing it. The quality of his work was very good. I would have them back again.

They were excellent. The young man that came and did the work made an appointment and showed up right on time. He even took the trouble to ask me for the paint that was already on the house so that he could paint the wood before he put it up instead of doing it after. He did an excellent job and cleaned up after he was finished. It was excellent and I would highly recommend them.

Before the job even started, he asked me for $150 to buy supplies. The next day he asked for another $150. I told him that I was on a budget and didn?t have $150, so I gave him $100. The next day he asked for another $120, which I had to borrow from my father. I bought most of the materials, so I?m not sure why he needed so much money for supplies. After looking at his receipts, I found that $135 was unaccounted for. He bought a sledgehammer that he used one day and it has never returned to my house. My bathroom has been left unusable. I have had to shower at my brother?s house for the last three weeks. He put the tub surround in, but he never sealed it. He could not seal it because he never put the wall piece behind it. If I were to use my shower, water would likely go into my basement and cause mold problems. Where he tore out the tile, he tore past the tile. Now there are holes in the wall. There is grout all over my new bathroom cabinets that he didn?t clean off. I bought a faucet for the bathroom and he bent the piece of metal that stops the water from going down the drain. The toilet used to run constantly. He said that he fixed it, but his solution caused another problem with it. The work that he has completed on the floor and the wall looks nice, but he has left my bathroom in a poor condition.

Very smooth, simple process. Also kind enough to offer a piece of advice on replacing garbage disposal (which I intended to do myself).

They did an excellent job! I would definitely hire them again if I needed anything. I've had other companies come out and do poor work or not show up for appointments, but Handyman Connection was always punctual and the work they did was top notch.

It went really well. Rich came out and gave an estimate and was super nice and upfront with me exactly what needed to be done. He also gave me some advice on a few other things that I wanted to get done. The following day I scheduled an appointment and Rich showed up on time and got the job done that day. The end result looked great and I will use them again in the future.
