Many aspects of the work were quite good however, the worker was rushed and he did not take time to complete the job to what I consider a level of good craftsmanship. First, let me describe what he did well. He was very careful to be sure the floor was prepared correctly before putting down the tile. After removing the old floor covering he found evidence of water damage to the subfloor. He diligently pursued the cause and fixed it, then reinforced the floor joists and replaced the old subflooring. He worked to make the subfloor level and then put down the cement board and sealed it with a waterproof paste. He was careful to lay out the tile pattern and placed of the tiles so they would be straight and form a regular diamond pattern. He was honest in his dealings about material purchases and was pleasant to work with. My reasons for a low rating on his work are due to the poor workmanship I found after the job was completed. We asked an acrylic admixture be used when mixing the grout to make the grout less brittle. As the worker was finishing grouting I noticed that on the surface of the tiles there was still a residue of grout and asked about this.I was told that when it dried it would be just like powder and could easily be wiped up. That might be true for water based grout but when the grout set up when it dried and would not be easily wiped off. After reading the instructions on the bottle of the admixture I bought the correct solvent and then spent about six hours scrubbing the tiles to remove the film. Until this was cleaned off the entire floor looked dirty. Two other areas of poor workmanship that showed up were poor control of the tile gaps for the last tiles and sloppy workmanship in replacing the baseboard molding. The last tiles in the corner were cut poorly and the alignment and gaps were messed up. Other problems were with poor finish work on the baseboard and the caulking smeared on the painted surface. Also, when I pulled the refrigerator out I found that there was paint from the baseboard on the tile and not all the quarter-round had been painted correctly. The floor is level and solid and on casual observation looks good. But on closer inspection you see that a lot of details are not done well. I am sure other contractors can do a better job and woul not recommend this contractor.

They were professional, punctual. He was particularly good.

Called up explained what I needed done, estimated the time, and set the date. Everything was completed with two trips as it took a couple of days to have the joint compound set up for sanding.

I could not be more pleased! It looks great and the entire job was completed in a timely manner. He was agreeable to meeting my schedule, gave us a good estimate when others could only do part of the job, was professional and always punctual. I have already talked to him about doing my next house project!

Everything went well. He arrived on time, did the job, cleaned up after himself.

I had an estimate done to finish some work previously not completed by another contractor. It was "simple" tasks around the home that just take time, but could be done ourselves. I thought for the right price, having someone else would be a great time saver. The contractor sent out for an estimate was awesome, friendly and had a very impressive portfolio of work- far surpassing the skill needed for the items I needed completed (fixing a broken security door lock, hanging trim around front and back doors, hanging shutters, finishing a small patch of ceiling drywall and then painting a small kitchen ceiling). I know the work would have been done wonderfully, but the price was WAY (hundreds of dollars) over any other quote or even the cost of doing it myself! I think they would be great for a large start to finish project like putting in a deck, remodel project, etc., but too expensive to be that "go to " handyman for your daily needs.

Very pleased with all the repair work completed. Handyman Connection is a great organization. They are always on time; give accurate estimates; work is completed professionally and on time as estimated. They clean up and leave no debris. Excellent employees and an excellent organization. I have used Handyman Connection several times and it's always a positive result!

My experience with Handyman Connection was very positive and I will use them again! I had an attic ladder assembly installed in my garage and the finished job was more than satisfactory. The craftsman representing the company, John Agee, was very professional and proficient in his craft. He was prompt for both the initial estimate appointment and the actual installation. Additionally, he called ahead to let me know he was en route. John made sure the job was done right the first time and had no problem answering questions as he worked. I guess when you're really good at what you do it's easy to be relaxed around customers. My expectations were exceeded! A++++++ job!

They were fast; they were there the next morning, however, they overcharged me, and the faucet started leaking six hours later. I will not use their services again.

Bill Hutson of Handyman Connection at 5610 Crawfordsville Rd, Suite #1902, Indianapolis, IN 46224 was scheduled to extimate the cost of installing a range hood exhaust fan over our kitchen stove between 3 and 4 p.m. on 8/1/2012. Around 2:45 p.m. Handyman Connection called to indicate that they were running ahead of schedule and could they come early. We agreed and he gave us the estimate and performed to work while onsite. There was some "gerry rigging" needed to get the range hood installed, but it was done quickly. It was completed with the help of my husband which made it easier with two people working together.

Was done on time. No hiccups along the way. Very good work.

The estimate was punctual, prompt and courteous- we had used this carpenter before -- for a minor repair. The job was scheduled 2 weeks out. The Sunday before the job we got a phone call that he was going to be late, and also having car issues- so could we go get the supplies or if we knew anyone having a truck. That should have been the first clue this would not turn out well. We advised one of us would be there until he arrived that morning to let him in, provide a key (meaning one of us would take off work). Got a call that morning, referencing the key- the appointment, etc. Turns out, we could leave the key- and be to work on time (would have been handy to hear the night before). He also had an appointment that day at 5 so he'd be done early and not there when we got there. The work was completed over the next few days and we were excited it looked pretty good! He returned to replace the trim and do some caulking-- and the supply line to the toilet was not correct. A large leak ensued... draining all over our new floor and down the wall into the basement, destroying ceiling tile and a few electronics (one being a 46" tv), and possible damage to a laminate floor. Our sump blew from working so hard. And when you talk to the contractor they sent? "It was fine when I left".... really? That's it? We hired you as we don't know plumbing or construction. We did your supply run on a Sunday night, left you a key to my home, put up with personal issues-- and we get to pay for the bathroom twice. And now, talking to the local office? Since we already paid to have the plumbing problem fixed-- all they can do is come look for damage? REALLY? It was raining in our basement-- do you think we would let that continue overnight? This is a nightmare. DO NOT CALL THESE PEOPLE FOR CONTRACTORS! Pictures of the leak and showing how wet the ceiling was are available for reference, as well as our receipt for the TV, the flooring downstairs that's damaged, the ceiling tiles, and the after hours plumber that had to come fix everything while the handyman says "it was fine when I left". We paid for the bathroom twice now. **update, the day after the incident- they came to take pictures, and gather receipts. We called when it appeared the TV wasn't damaged and now it's been 2 weeks without any follow up or ownership, apology letter. We're still out emergency plumbing bills and supply bills.

Well, this was not my happiest experience. My complaint is not with the quality of work completed but with the length of time to complete the projects as well as the communication issues I encountered with the company. They came out to give me an estimate on June 14th and I was told the project would take one week. They started the work on June 21st but the tasks were not completed until July 13th. There was some discussion on not painting at noon due to the heat. However, this handyman told me on a couple occassions that he had to leave my home to complete work elsewhere. The handyman was also not punctual. I had to call the owner to ask where the worker was, as I hadn't heard from him in two days. The owner proceeded to be huffy with me by stating that his company never leaves a site to complete a different job. The owner's office manager called me back and stated the handyman had said I told him not to come back. This was not the case and I did not appreciate the way the owner spoke with me or that he did not call me back as he said he would, rather having his office manager called me back.

This is the second time we've hired Dave Monroe to do electrical work for us. Again we were very pleased with Dave's professionalism and courtesy. Dave did a very thorough job of checking circuits, the main breaker box, and wiring for damage due to a power surge. We feel very confident about his work. I would absolutely hire Dave (via Handyman Connection) again.

John Agee did a great job repairing my Fence gates.

I called on Tuesday and they sent out a handyman/electrician on Wednesday morning. The repair went very smoothly. He looked at the project and gave us an estimate. Since we had already purchased the proper replacement fan, he was able to complete the job on that one visit. The work required attic access and electrical hook-up and it was all performed in just over an hour. We were very pleased with his courteous manner as well as the job he completed. We will use Handyman Connection again!

The doors would not close or latch properly so we called Handyman Connection who sent Eric over to evaluate and estimate the job. He showded up as promised the next day, saying he could reuse everything already in place. We liked the price and scheduled Eric to return the next day to complete the job. Again he was right on time and finished in an hour. The doors work perfectly. He even pointed out some small things we could do to save money and future trouble with weather stripping.

We used a coupon for Handyman Connection. The overall experience was not satisfactory. I will not use them again.

Not clear on what I was to purchase for the install.I did not have caulk, which I was told by estimator would be included, so the door caulking was not finished.Installer was very careful to keep area clean during and afterInstaller was politeToo chatty, Technician was very professional and friendly.

Ron was great he removed the damaged/worn out ladder and installed the new aluminum attic ladder.

Rich came out to estimate the project. We agreed on the price. I did not get a competitive bid. The $90 was the minimum charge. Rich scheduled the work the following day. He was on time, pleasant to deal with, and cleaned up afterwards. Project took a little longer than estimated. I am very satisfied with the end result.

They did an excellent job. Very efficient and reasonable.

Handyman Connections, John Leisure, was at the location on the scheduled time and day. Quickly and carefully removed the necessary flooring. Came back on the appointed day and again carefully put all back together. He was professional, job was done quickly and neatly. Very pleased with the service and would definitely hire again.

I had to buy the faucet and provide it for them to install. Never having done that before, I had no clue what to buy. I guess I got the correct kind because he was able to install it. They said that it would be a half day project and it took less than an hour to do it all. However, it was the same price. Everything was done well and works fine, just a little expensive.
