I had a fantastic experience with Glendale Auto. I called the Subaru dealer on Tuesday to schedule a service appointment. I was given the run around and told that they might be able to get me in on Saturday or Monday. This was not going to work, because I felt my brakes might give out by then (at least it sounded/felt like it). I took my last car to Glendale Auto once more than 8 years ago and had a good experience, so I called them around 1:00 on Tuesday. Fred told me I could drop my car that night and they would be happy to take a look. Their hours are 8 am - 6 pm, but they have a drop box for your keys, which is very convenient. I ended up dropping my car off at 7:30 am on Wednesday. I received a call from Fred with an estimate by 10:30 am and the work was complete by 1:30 pm that same day. I'm sure brake repair isn't as time intensive as some other auto services, but I was thrilled with the turnaround time! Fred and his team were extremely friendly and truly know the meaning of customer service. My squeaking/grinding brakes are fixed, and I paid about the same amount I would have paid to the Subaru dealer (andI also would have had to get a rental car). I cannot say enough good things.

The firs time I've ever gone to him Glendale Automotive, he made me feel that like I just had a really long conversation with my long lost uncle. He's super honest. I told him a whole bunch of things about the cars that I've driven and he told me on how he got to be the owner. He's just a really, really nice guy. He told me things that I needed done in the car and why they need to be done, not saying he's trying to gulch me for money or anything like that.

The car presented a set of significant problems, difficult to correct. Fred seems to enjoy a challenge and threw himself whole-heartedly into solving the problem. He keeps the customer informed and does what he can to keep the cost down.

Excellent as always. Very honest and doesn't try to upcharge or tell you you need things you do not need.

service above and beyond!- when the repair did not work on an older - no longer made vehicle- got a full refund and an honest assessment of the situation- with honest options if i wanted to continue to try to find and correct the problem- would go there again and highly recommend it to anyone= could not believe the honesty and integrity of all who work there- they are great!!

2005 Highlander was getting up in miles and to hopefully exend its life had the water pump and timing belt replaced, so we scheduled an appointment with the Glendale Automotive. Dropped the vehicle off and the vehicle was ready when they said it would be.

The check engine light was on. We have had great service from Glendale automotive and was able to get our vehicle in right away. The problem was diagnosed that we needed new plugs and coils. Also got oil changed and checked fluid levels and tire pressure.They kept us advised throughout the process, and even stayed late so that we could pick up our vehicle when it was done. They honored our Angie's List discount.

They are really great guys. I have taken my car to them 2 or 3 times over the years, and they are good about giving you an idea on what needs to be done over the phone. The times they have worked on my car, I have been satisfied with their prices. I would highly recommend them.

I have been going there for a long time. It is always excellent. No complaints. Everything was good on this job.

The van had an engine oil leak, a transmission leak and coolant pipe corroded and leaking oil. It needed a new water pump. Fred completed all of the work inside of two days. The van is 10 years old and running smoothly. I am very pleased with the work of this company, have used them before and will use them again.

The overall experience was OK. Fred and his staff get cars in and out at a reasonable rate, but I really didn't feel a friendly vibe from anyone. Plus, the price was quite high. Most places can do an oil change for $25-$35. I was charged $48.

Our left rear tire on our 1999 honda accord had the brake completely lock up as we were preparing to head out of town on Vacation. (12/22) Our other vehicle had transmission failure and was essentially dead, so we needed to acquire a rental car to get out of town, but we had the car towed to Glendale for review. The concern was that it could have been the Emergency Brake cable failure - which is an expensive repair due to how difficult it was to get to the parts in question. After review, Glendale informed us that the cable was fine, and they lubricated it for us as well as they could, but the problem appeared to be "just a fluke" - a frozen brake. What concerned them was how low the brake pads and drums were - they were heavily worn down and likely needed ot be replaced. It was taking the brakes out of their normal range of motion and not only likely caused the freeze, but would be putting extra wear on the break cable in question. We had not replaced the brake pads in years - so we opted for that replacement. We have gone to Glendale repeatedly for business, and its been our experience that their primary concern is keeping your car running and safe, not looking for more work. Sometimes the issue you think is the problem, isn't. They fix what needs to be fixed to keep you going.

I have referred several people to Glendale Automotive. This time I went I was replacing my ignition cylinder by myself. I had it installed and it wasn't working right. The service tech stopped what he was doing and came to look at my car. He quickly found exactly what was wrong and how to fix it. I love this place because they are honest and dependable. They are not going to add on hidden fees like many other places I've went. I would gladly recommend them to anyone who needs a quality honest mechanic.

Their service is excellent. They always do a nice job.

Also the best in service and with pleasant guys. The car was done when anticipated and was 200.00 lass than the dealer.

Fabulous service. I have been working with them since 2005 and Fred the owner is great. He takes care of his customers. They always make sure they take care of me and make sure I get the service that I need. They do the basics from an oil change to tire repair. Fred will give you an estimate and will stand behind the price. Topnotch mechanics.

They are very knowledgable, professional, easy to talk to, and take a lot of pride of doing a great job. They had to keep the car over night because they had to order parts. They did offer to take me home but I had a ride already lined up. I would use their services again and would recommend them to others.

My experience with Glendale Automotive was great! Fred, the owner, was fantastic in explaining what was going on with my car - I dropped my car off on a weekday morning and Fred drove me to work so that his shop could work on my car. I ended up having to get new tires - I don't know much about cars and have had bad experiences in the past with automotive shops trying to over charge me since I don't have much knowledge about auto services. After reading Glendale Automotive's wonderful reviews and hearing of a coworker who had used Glendale Automotive's services, I decided to go with them... and I am glad I did! Glendale Automotive will be the only place I take my car to in the future - I trust Fred and his team for my auto-service needs. I highly rec. Glendale Automotive to anyone in the Indianapolis area.

The pros at Glendale rebuilt my engine and installed it exactly as promised. Their follow through was outstanding. When the Jasper engine proved to be defective they took ownership of the issue and got the new one delivered and installed without delay. Fred (the owner) and Steve (chief mechanic) are a real pleasure to work with and I never hesitate to recommend them to others.dodn't come

These guys are awesome! They looked at the used car we were about to buy. We put a deposit down and took it for a second test drive to Glendale Automotive. They quickly assessed that the engine had been worked on-probably by a non professional and was not put back properly-huge oil leak that was masked amongst other issues. We drove it back to the used car lot and got our deposit back. They saved us from buying a money pit on wheels. Thanks to Frank and Phil we are starting our search for a well running vehicle. We wwill have them assess it before buying. So word to the wise-take your potential used car purchase to Glendale for an inspection. It will be the best $40 you ever spend!

My first call I talked to Fred. He seemed knowledgable and welcoming. Their quote was significantly less than all the other shops I had tried. They were able to get me in the next day which was a huge plus. When I dropped off the car I was a little nervous. I had used the same mechanic (my dad) my entire life, so this was a major step to trust someone else with my car. They told me the car would be done at 5. It was un-nerving to not get a call from them through-out the day to give me a step by step...but at 5 they called and told me it was done. The price was exactly the same as they quoted. It seems like they did a good job, and the guy I talked to upon pickup seemed to know a lot about my make and model car. Overall I was extremely please and will most likely continue going to Glendale for my service needs.

I am in the process of getting a new vehicle. My 2000 Grand Prix GT was leaking coolant and and a strong "weening" sound from my power steering (a common problem with Grand Prix's). I took my vehicle in to see Paul. He took care of me and my vehicle above and beyond. I will be purchasing a new vehicle in two weeks so I did not want to put a lot of money into my current car. He helped me stop the leak and cure my weening steering. We also discussed ways to save money with my after market wheels and tires during the trade in. Paul knows his stuff and I would never hesitate taking any vehicle to see him. Great work and I am so thankful to have found a fantastic mechanic who will be honest with me. Paul is a great guy and I fully recommend anyone to take their vehicle here. Thank you.

This was my first time using Glendale Automotive and it was an awesome experience! I called on a Tuesday and dropped my car off on Thursday. Before they even looked at my car they offered to give me a ride home or to work if needed - free of charge. I am very naive when it comes to vehicles and appreciated they would not do any work until I approved their estimate for repairs. They called at the time they said they would and repairs were completed when they said they would be. I confirmed pricing with a mechanic friend of mine and he assured me that the pricing for parts and labor was dead on. The guys in the office are funny and personable and really made me feel comfortable. I will be using them again in the future and recommending them to others!

He spend time to get to know my car and spend time to get to know me. Really put me at ease.
