I have used them for 15 years. The workers are great and it is a family owned business. They finished the work in one day and the waiting room is ok.

Their pricing was great and they offered a great warranty on a new engine. We were very satisfied with their service.

I found Glendale Automotive on Angie's List 2 years ago and they are my go-to shop for car problems. They are HONEST, accommodating and very skilled at car repair. My car is 10 years old and we've gone through a lot together. I have never felt taken advantage of and their pricing is fair for the calibur of service they provide. If they can't do it, they tell you. If it's not worth fixing, they tell you. If you need a ride there or home, they'll pick you up free of charge! I absolutely adore Fred and think the world of him and his guys. I recommend Glendale Automotive to all of my friends and family.

We have been taking our cars to Fred for 4-5 years now. Our last vehicle was a 13 year old Ford Focus that we just needed to get another year or two out of. Fred has always been up front about pricing, what needs to be done, and what has to be done. All the guys that work for him are great and we really appreciate having someone we can trust to call.

They were very down home and pleasant. They were also professional.

Replaced parts including shocks, calipers, stabilizing bar, shocks,and front brake rotor. Cleaned and adjusted front and rear brakes and aligned the wheels. There was a lot of work that needed to be done to the van, but my husband was thrilled with the results.. He told me that it drives like a new vehicle. We have built a trust with this company and feel like they charge a fair price and that they don't make recommendations unless it needs to be done. I also know that there was a back log due to a mechanic being off the week before, and yet we got our vehicle back within 2 days. I appreciate that they work around our crazy sleep schedule and don't call us during our sleep hours.

I was referred to this garage by a few people, and I was very pleased with the entire process from scheduling to checkout. They were very courteous, professional, on time with everything, and I trust them. I can see being a customer here for a very long time. Thanks guys!

I have been going to Glendale Automotive (Fred) for more than 5 years. I recently got rid of a 19 year old car that Fred had helped keep going. The thing that I most appreciate about Fred and Glendale Automotive is their honesty. On several occasions, they would tell me what was wrong with the vehicle and would allow me to ask questions about whether or not the repairs were safety related or operationally required or just nice to have repairs. As I didn't want to keep pouring money into an old vehicle, they understood this and helped me make informed decisions. I easily got an extra 3 years out of the vehicle because of working with Fred.

I had a leak under my engine so I took my car in for analysis. My fear was a transmission issue but I know little about cars so I put myself in their hands. The mechanics found a leaking gasket which they replaced and also got me a new set of tires which I really needed at a very good price. Work was completed on time and the estimate and my final bill were exactly the same--actually I also got an Angie's list discount so be sure to print their coupon! I would encourage anyone to come here; they are by far the most honest and caring people I have ever met in the auto repair industry and I've spent many years driving older models and having them fixed up. They genuinely care not only about making sure that your ride is safe but that you are getting a good price and just the work you need and that you are happy with their work. In the very unlikely event that my car acts up again in the near future I will be taking it to Fred and his team with the complete confidence that they will make it right no matter what it takes.

My best Auto Service experience in Indy: Glendale Automotive took in my '95 850T Volvo, which had ongoing but intermittent starting issues. Fred worked with me to provide easy scheduling/drop-off and flexible pickup. Both Fred and Paul are extremely fair and honest. They explained what they found out, offered knowledgeable advice, and did not try to encourage me to do any unneeded work. As a plus, they're friendly and easy to talk to. I will definitely choose Glendale for any future auto work!

They do an excellent job. They are timely. They stay with what their estimate is. If they can, they try and save me money. I have had everything done but not oil changes.

The ladies and gentlemen who work here are superb. So much so that my husband decided to get his auto work done here after my first appointment last year. Reasonable time to get a diagnosis and estimate. Work is completed in a timely manner. Friendly, efficient and there was a bonus. I was surprised a few weeks when I had brought my car in for an out blinker light right before the Thanksgiving Holiday. They changed it for no cost! I'm not sure if this is a common thing, but it was a welcome surprise.

What a Jecko Hyde mechanic!! I have taken my cars to him before and things were fine. I called him and explained the problem. He asked if I could drop the car off. I dropped my car off the night before. At 2 pm the next day I called him to see if he had looked at the car to see what was wrong with it and he had not. At 430 pm I called him again to see if he had looked at the car to see what was wrong with it and he said we are looking at it right now. I asked what time do you close. About 30 minutes later he called me to say there is air in the brakelines and he does not know where it is and to get the parts it would be 3-4 days!!!! He said the cost would be $1600 because of the type of car I have. His prices are higher than most. I knew that going in. I am extremely disappointed because when I refused the service knowing I could go to the dealer and get this work done for less than $1600 and it would not take them 4 days. Fred then tells me the cost to perform the estimate is $83.40 OMG!!!!!! I asked him if this amount is something that is deducted from the cost of the repair should I chose to have the work done. HE SAID NO. OK fine. I go to pick up my car and there are no signs anywhere that talk about a estimate cost. I have been to this mechanic at least 3 other times and there has never been a estimate cost. So he essentially charges approximately $85 when your car sits on his lot and he does not even look at it until the end of the day. This is an old school rip off artist or I caught him at the time when he needed money!!! I wish the other Fred would reappear.

Brake Inspection & Rear brake overhaul & replacement.

I called to see if they would come "jump" my dead car battery (at my house). They don't do house calls. No work performed.

I've frequented Glendale Automotive since I moved to Indy in 2007. They've serviced both of my cars (Honda & Toyota) with honest, fair prices & information. They always tell me if another provider could offer the services for cheaper, and always tell me what the my money is buying with each upgrade. They are honest, hard-working and good at what they do.

Have used Glendale Automotive several times. This time unfortunately, they had to tell me the bad news that our car had damage that was too extensive to repair. (would cost more than the car was worth) Fred has always been honest, friendly, and prompt. I would use them again.

As always, Paul is the guy to go to. He is extremely personable, amazing at his trade, and completely honest. I would take my vehicle to him for any service.

All work was completed as agreed. Proprietor explained that severall related components would also need to be replaced in order for the manufacturer to warrant the compressor. When Glendale found that an additional component, beyond the original estimate, needed to be replaced, they did so at only the cost of the part with no additional labor charge. The A/C now works well - greatly appreciated in the recent hot spell.
