Excellent. Fred is always up front about cost and tries to find options to save his customers money.

It took longer than expected to get parts, and I questioned the source and price of the parts. The work was done well. Glendale Automotive is a small shop that is willing to work around customers' schedules whenever possible.

They determined that my rear brake pads needed to be replaced. They also indicated that the front ones were getting worn, but it looked like they had another 3,000 miles or so left on them. They were unable to find anything wrong with my truck other than that because apparently it began running smoothly as soon as I brought it in. I appreciate their honesty and quickness - I made an appointment earlier in the week and everything was complete in less than a day. Great service!

I took my Buick LeSabre into a nearby Chevy dealer for an Intake Manifold coolant leak and Valve Cover Gaskets. While there they also suggested a brake fluid flush. Days later the Master Cylinder began leaking brake fluid so I took it back in to them. The Chevy dealer stated it was unrelated to the brake fluid flush and quoted me over $600.00 to replace the Master Cylinder and Power Brake Booster. Unsatisfied, I contacted Fred Kuhn at Glendale Automotive about my car and the situation. After inspecting the brake system, Fred called to say the Master Cylinder had failed and the rear passenger side brake bleeder valve had been broken off. Fred replaced both the Master Cylinder and rear passenger side Wheel Cylinder for approximately $400.00. Since then our family has taken a new car in to Glendale Automotive for a pre-purchase inspection ($40.00). There is a reason why Glendale Automotive is so highly regarded, great service!

This was our first experience with Glendale Automotive and it was a good one. They explained the repairs and cost in detail before doing any of the work. The itemized bill was very helpful and reassuring. Great work at a reasonable cost. Glendale Automotive is evidently a busy place. The repairs took a little longer than expected but we received a quality job.

They were quite nice and explained things clearly. As a female who knows very little about vehicles, I felt comfortable with what they were telling me. I was initially concerned that it took a few days for them to look at my car, but I didn't ask for a time frame when I dropped it off either.

Everything was incredibly smooth from start to finish. Fred Kuhn gave me a time frame for the job and stuck to it, and was more than willing to discuss the company's reports on Angie's List. I was impressed by the fact that he acknowledged their (few) bad reports before I even mentioned them. I was also impressed by the fact that he offered to drive my car to my house, which is reasonably close but not exactly right down the street. I took him up on it, and everything worked out well.

Fred, the owner, and Mike, the mechanic who did the work on my car, are great guys. They give you complete, honest estimates and recommendations, answer all questions in detail without making you feel like a complete idiot for not knowing how your car works, and they treat returning customers right. Even though they were super busy in the first week of January, Fred fit me in when I described the problem to him over the phone, because I was planning to take a road trip that weekend and he thought my brake problem sounded too serious to tell me it was okay to drive. He & Mike did the brake repair in one morning, and I was on my way safely. You really get the sense that he cares about his customers, their vehicles, and their safety--and I am super-happy with the repaired brakes and belt, especially considering the February snow and ice! Plus, he offers anguish List members a 10% discount.

I called one week to ask about procedure to take my car. Super professional. Fred, on second call told me exactly what to do to bring trooper in. Gave estimates for all my car problems. Very positive. Promised to make good if any problems, completed work with smile and concerned for my safety.

They checked everything out and did not charge me for it.

We were very pleased with the professional and very prompt service. The quote was less than the final cost, but the owner did not charge the difference, although it was offered. We had the car back in one day and it appears to be a great job. We will definitely return.

I received an appointment the day that I called. The service was prompt and I was able to pick up my car the same day. Also received a discount for being an Angie's List member.

They did a good job on the car, although it took longer than I had been told, and I was without the car for several days. However, they offered to stay late to make sure that I finally got car back on the final day and knocked a little off the price because of that (and Angie's List!).

I really like this shop. The owner was super responsive and even arranged a tow company for me. The price I paid included the tow. Because my car broke down, I thought it was best to have it completely inspected. Fred gave me the same inspection he gives when he looks over a used car, but didn't charge me! When his supplier sent the wrong part and he didn't think he would have my car done in time, he even offered to pay to rent me a car out of his pocket. As it turns out his shop was able to fix my car by closing. I am most impressed with this shop and will return should I have any more car problems. I highly recommend!

Suspected coolant leak. I called for appointment, had to wait 10 days. Arrived by 8:00 am & left truck. Told I would receive call by 12:30pm before any work was done. Call came at 2:00pm. Estimated $404 to replace the just water pump and coolant. Also indicated thermostat, radiator hoses, serpentine belt needed replacing but these could wait for another visit. Asked for breakdown of labor versus parts. Labor 2.8 hours-reasonable. Water pump $180 (exorbitant). Told them I would call back. Dealer price was $140. Other local suppliers $80. Called back and Jon Kuhn said would match the dealer but not other prices. Declined. Purchased all required parts-pump, thermostat, gaskets, hoses, serpentine belt and coolant for the same price he wanted for just the pump. Also additional work should have been recommended at same time rather than later since to do it later would require doing much of the same work over again and would requiring repeat labor charges and additional coolant.

I received excellent service, as always. I called for an appointment. I had to wait a few days, but it was worth it. On the day of my appointment, I brought my car in, communication was courteous and clear. I was there about 20 minutes waiting for my friend to pick me up, and before I had even left they had assessed the problem and given me the cost of the repair, which was reasonable and included a 10% discount for Angie's list members. My repair was completed and ready for pick-up in a few hours. A smooth, highly satisfactory transaction. I'm delighted to have found a reliable mechanic.

The key sticking is apparently a design problem with the car, but Glendale was able to fix it much better than the dealer did three years earlier. Very courteous and professional, and very reasonably priced for all the work done.

Job well done, very helpful in assisting me to plan for future preventative maintenance. My car was also clean upon receipt, no greasy hand prints.

My son is at college in Indianapolis and our home is an hour away. I called Glendale Auto for my son and arranged for him to call and bring in his car. They accommodated his schedule, explained the problem, gave a reasonable estimate, promptly fixed the car while he waited, and gave us a 10% discount for being an Angie's list subscriber. He was impressed, and I was happy for the way complete strangers treated my son. Thank you. You have won a new customer!

They tested the system to check out the issue. After investigating, they thought it was an electrical issue. They did not have the proper device to debug the system. They recommended another auto service that specializes in electrical issues. They were very good to work with and did not try to replace stuff without knowing what is causing the issue. We will use them again.

These guys are trustworthy, straight-forward, and very efficient. They've done multiple oil changes for my VW and also helped me with a check engine light that went off. Even though the couldn't completely deal with the issue; they discounted their diagnostic fee since they could not repair the vehicle. They are very decent guys.

First time customer. Will definitely use in the future. Outstanding experience.

I was prepared to spend a couple of hundred dollars to fix the power steering....but Jon diagnosed the problem, just a loose belt! Extremely professional and honest! He replaced the belt and changed the oil/filter. This auto shop is a true gem, the first time I've been to auto shop and didn't feel like I was being robbed!

They were quite thorough and explained everything to me. I had to call several times during the day to check on status, even after they repeatedly said they'd call me. They didn't charge me for the evaluation.
