Second time using Glendale Automotive; second time completely satisfied. Called and discussed the problem, potential secondary damage and the service I would like performed on the truck. Asked if it would be a good preventive measure to replace the right axle seal while the front end was torn apart since the truck has over 160K miles. Jeff said the right side was the easy side and that it would only be the cost of the part if I decide to do it. I did and he gave me a quote. During the work Jeff contacted me and confirmed the problem to be the seal, informed me all the gears and everything else appeared to be in good shape with the exception of a worn u-joint he recommended replacement - I agreed. Glendale finished the job and even with the u-joint replacement came slightly under the quote. I believe Glendale's cost to be fair with the service and quality workmanship to be above reproach.

Fred was very responsive and offered suggestions over the phone of things to try before I decided to have it towed in. Referred me to a towing service that was reasonable. Problem was a failed hydraulic slave cylinder but recommended replacing the clutch as well because fixing the slave cylinder involves opening the transmission anyway. (Nearly 90,000 miles on the clutch) Delivery was a day later than promised due to delay in getting parts on MLK day. The service tech showed me the old parts and explained where the problem was. Turned out the clutch wasn't in that bad of shape. Oh well. Warranty: Labor-90 days, Parts-12mo/12000mi

I called about my vehicle whose check engine light had come on. This was my wife's car so I didn't drive it much but I explained what had been going on and they agreed to take a look at it. I took advantage of their offer of a ride to work with a car drop off. This actually was a little troubling because while being driven home, the other passenger in the care with me asked about the car we were riding in and the mechanic driving us told us it was a client's car that had been brought in for repairs. Despite my concerns about this, I left my car to be fixed. Later that day I called to check on my car and was told that the check engine light was for two issues, one was an old one likely from the emission check and probably from a loose gas cap. The second one was likely from a faulty temperature sensor. They quoted be $150 for the parts and labor for the sensor and $100 for the sensor check. The repairs were done by the next morning. When I picked the car up, the owner told me that he had quoted me the wrong price on the sensor replacement and that in reality it was nearly twice as costly. However he stated he would hold to his original quote. Everything worked out and the car is doing fine. I will be honest in saying that if the rest of my experience hadn't been so good and if the owner and staff had not been so good, I would have given a much lower grade on professionalism due to being driven around in someone else's car.

They got me in right away - although they were super busy, they knew that I did not have many opporuntunities to make it in for my car to be fixed. I will say this: this company is like having a close friend or family member work on your car. The honesty and trust is equal to taking your car to a close friend or family member and, to me, is the most important quality for a business in this service field to have. I will bring my car to Glendale Automotive anytime it needs fixed. They will do everything they can to make an unpleasant experience, such as your car breaking down, a pleasuable one.

They were very courteous. They kept the car longer then I thought. They made adjustments because it was an inconvenience for me. The owner was very accommodating. He was very nice and honest.

The prices were fair and I would definitely use them in the future.

I continue to give Glendale Automotive my business because I believe they know what they are doing. They are also prompt, thorough, informative, friendly, and their prices are very competitive. A big plus for me, is that they don't talk down to me or try to add on costs because I am a woman who (as has been the case with virtually every other auto service place I have ever dealt with) somehow "wouldn't know better" otherwise. Keep up the good work, Glendale!

The mechanic drove my car while I was in it. He explained the brake system to me and why I needed new brakes. I felt confident with his explanation. They guarantee their work. I am using this company again for other work on my car.

I talked to Fred, the owner. He suggested I have it towed to the shop so that they could diagnose it. I wanted to prepare for the worst, so we discussed engine replacement options, and found one which I could handle. It took a little longer to get a diagnosis than I had thought, (it was New Years week), but two days after the truck got there Fred called and said," Kevin, your truck's ready to go." I said, "What?" and he explained that it had started, smoked a few minutes, and now was running fine. He could easily have put in a used engine (or cleaned up mine) and charged me $2500 instead of a tow bill and an hour's shop labor.

The service was good. They were a super service award winners and they lived up to that expectation.

Took the car in on Wednesday and they said the belts were broken and that they would have to order the parts. I couldn't return the car until Monday. They said fine took it back on Monday and picked it up Monday afternoon. Everything works fine. Have used them in the past and have always found them to be honest, reliable, and friendly.

Great. Fred could have completely taken advantage of me as my car was not running and actually I had already convinced myself it was something big. He had me call a tow company he works with and I had it towed there (he adds this to the bill which is nice so you don't have to deal with paying two different folks - and it was an extremely affordable tow). He called me later that day and said they did a full service including tire rotation and oil change, as well as tightening some loose cables, and it was running great now. I went to pick it up though and it would not start. Fred felt bad - he apologized, asked to keep it over the weekend to get it right. When I returned on Monday he said it seemed to be running great again and he could not find a mechanical reason as to why it wouldn't start previously. He recommended an electric shop as his guess was it had to an an electrical problem. He knocked some off the bill for the back and forth and inconvenience. That said - it has been three weeks now and I have not had a lick of issue with her - she starts right up every time and is running great. I wonder if it was a fluke it didn't start that day. I don't know, but I do know Fred was a very honest reasonable mechanic with me and I highly recommend him and his shop.

This is the second time I have taken my car to Glendale Automotive due to their great customer service. My clutch was slipping and I brought the car in for them to look at it and access the problem. Mike took the car for a drive and gave me an estimate of what the problem was and what the cost would be. He was professional, took his time, answered all of my questions. I scheduled an appointment for the next week. Mike contacted me after "getting under the hood" and gave me an estimate of the cost and time for repair. Mike then called me later in the day to let me know that my car was ready and that the total cost was a bit less than he had estimated. My car was ready when I arrived. It was a very positive experience! Mike did a great job!

Got in quickly, very efficient and friendly. Would highly recommend.

Much cheaper than dealer. Guys easy to talk to and explain options well.

It turns out that I had a bad water pump. The engine style that I have has an internal water pump. The Labor is really expensive because they have to remove the engine. Fred (the owner) warned me that I may fix the problem for $900 and then have to replace the engine a few months down the road for a substantial amount of money. I really liked the advice that I received from their team. I have had several bad mechanics try to pull one over on me and from the very beginning I felt that they were giving me the best advice with my intentions on their mind.

Went ok overall. Called me immediately when they were finished.

I asked them to inspect the car and to let me know of anything they thought needed attention. They came back letting me know everything was in great shape. Very pleased with their professionalism.

They got the work done very quickly. They fixed it while I waited. They could actually do it which was nice because a few places told me they couldn't do that work.

I took it in about 8:30 in the morning and dropped it off. One of the guys gave me a ride to work. I got a call in the afternoon around 2:00. They told me it seemed to be an electrical problem and they were trying to trace the wires to figure out what was wrong and asked if I wanted them to keep going. I told them to go ahead, and he said he'd need to keep it until the next day. He called the next day about mid-morning and said he'd found the problem, a bent connector in the wiring harness, and that he'd fixed it. He also filled the refrigerant since it was low, at no extra charge. My wife and I came to get the van around lunchtime and paid for the repair, about $236. When we went out to get into the van, the A/C was still not working. We went back in and talked to them about it. They said they had the A/C working. They kept the car to take another look at the problem and apologized for the inconvenience. Later, they called and said they couldn't figure out the problem and that they would refund our money. So, we picked up the van and went home. A day or two later the A/C started working again.

They are very friendly. They don't price gouge, if they can't do the work they tell you and don't charge you.

They were prompt. They did a good job and I didn't have any problems with it. They met the time line that they told me they could do it in. I would use them again. I got a discount because I am an Angie's list member.

They did excellent work. They had an honest price and were honest people. Fred and his boys do quality work at an honest price. I would highly recommend them. I will continue to go here for future service.
