Great. Very pleased with the service, price, courteous behavior, explanation of services and future remediation needed, etc.

Service technician was very pleasant but did not appear to be overly knowledgeable. I was told that I would receive a report in about a week. A week passed and i did not receive a report. I waited another week and still had not received a report. I called the company and talked to Stephanie, who was very nice, and she said she would look into it and call me back. Stephanie called me back and said that they had been very busy but would get a report out right away. I waited two more weeks and called again because I had still not received a report. Once again I talked with Stephanie and she apologized for me not getting a report and offered to send me a refund of my $65.00. I told her to go ahead and refund my money, which i received and i used it to hire another company.

They were excellent. They were very responsible and responsive to our needs.

No problems or issues. They were the quickest to respond on my request for a quote and had a competitive price. Went with them as I had good experiences in dealing with them in the past. Actually were able to complete the work a few days sooner than estimated and everything went great.

Overall it was all fine. The service was delivered as promised. Everything was reliable. There was nothing that stands out except for just good reliable service. I will certainly use their services again in the future.

He was honest and told us we did not need a cap for our chimney, which I thought was good of him.

Checked chimney and found it to be in good condition. No cleaning performed. No charge for service.

Overall, the work turned out to be great. They were fast and extremely professional. They cleaned up well and did great work. It was only some repair work and they did not try to oversell me anything. They were precise and fair. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

I have never had a problem with any services from Ely Stokes Co. They are always prompt and available to give free estimates for work that needs to be done. I receive a firm, written quote for all work to be performed and have never had them not honor the quote. James, the owner of the company, is completely ethical in his evaluation of any issues related to the work to be done and will tell me exactly what needs to be done to meet safety standards and building codes. I have had experience with other chimney companies that try and "up-sell" a job...unnecessary flue liners mostly. James refuses to cut corners and takes pride in his work. I believe their pricing to be quite reasonable.

I use this company because I feel like I can trust them. They seem to be very honest and never suggest work that doesn't need to be done. They go out of their way to not make a mess and make sure the area looks like it did before the job was started.

They are very good because they naturally did dirty things for me. They identified the problem and everything. We were dealing with a different service provider earlier and now we are waiting for them to fix some area on the roof. We had a leak in the bathroom ceiling so we had the people who put the flat roof on come out and they said there wasn't any water coming down. Ely's took pictures of the problem and the guy who took the pictures was just wonderful. The carpenters get right back to us and they were very good. The other service provider said there was no problem with the roof and that it was with the chimney. That is why we had Ely's come out to look at it because they were a chimney company. They also had a look at the guttering, they were worth it. They spent a lot of time to get up the ceiling and identify the leak. We were very impressed with them; they were very thorough, good and very honest. They cleaned up the mess both the times they come. They came out when they said they'll be out and they were on time. They were very punctual and professional. I had some questions and so the owner came out to clarify that.

They did a great job fitting this job into their schedule since it was a quick completion based on selling the house and needing to make all necessary repairs before closing. With all the rain we have had during April I am sure it was not easy to schedule and complete the job on our timetable. The new owner commented several times during the closing how excited she was with her new chimney.

Very professional estimate with detailed information on what repairs needed to be done and how they would be done. Crew showed up as scheduled and completed work in a timely manner.

We have used them before. We had to have them back four times because the chimney still leaked. They had to come and re-caulk around the chimney. Water was still pouring in. I was a bit concerned, because when we went up in the attic we could see the sky after they were here the first time. Although I have used them several times in the past and thought their work was great.

They were very good. I received the estimate last fall and I was thinking about calling them and finding if the estimate is still valid and maybe contracting and have the work done. I got into a cash flow crunch a little bit and could not have them do the work. That was the only reason. The estimate was for $12000 and that was for capping off an old chimney. The technician that came out and gave me the quote was very professional and very informative. He told me what he would do, explained everything and answered all the questions I had. I still have the quote and I have every intention of calling them to get the work done. I believe I got them off the Angies List because of the number of good reports that were filed on them. My intention is to call them and find out if they can do the job for the same price.

Overall the job was completed as promised. Clean up could have been a little better and there were some communication problems regarding issues that arose during the tear down/rebuild.

The work that they did was great and I was satisfied. They showed up when they said they were going to show up. Their price was good as well.

I originally called Ely Stokes about having my chimney swept back in 2010. When I told the lady that I lived in Brownsburg, she said that she wasn't sure if I was in their area. She indicated that she would check and call back, but that never happened. About a month ago (after finding out that they were having a $99 deal on chimney sweep services), I called Ely Stokes again and asked to schedule a sweep. I also asked for a quote on having the gas line and gas logs installed. Again, the lady said that she would call back later to let me know if Brownsburg was in their service area. A few days later, we scheduled a date for the chimney sweep service. The chimney sweep service was performed on Thursday, 3/17 without any problems. After the cleaning, the technician took a few pictures on his cell phone of my fireplace, chimney, gas logs, and gas meter so that his boss could put together a quote for the installation of the gas line and gas logs. I called back on Friday, 3/18 to check on the status of the quote. The same lady indicated that I would receive the quote possibly on Saturday (3/19) but most likely on Monday (3/21). It's now 4/4, and I still haven't received the quote. It doesn't matter at this point - I've already hired someone to do the job.
