CUTTING EDGE HARDSCAPES

Our home sits on a corner which actually gives ustwo entrances to the front door. We wanted the entrance from the driveway side to be accessible, therefore eliminating one stair. In addition, the entrance from the driveway to the front of the house was not welcoming and guest didn't know there was a sidewalk there as it did not go to the city sidewalk. Designer Jake came out to our home to review the proposed project and we shared with him a design we had previously purchased. He took the information and returned approx a week later to show us his plan for the design. He had returned with a plan that was different than the one shown him, but was close enough for us to tweak back to our original design. Jake was very patient with our changes and was always accommodating. The install crew showed up on time and all work was completed in 4 days, on time and as promised, before Memorial Day. The crew came back with top soil to fill in and plant grass seed. I was surprised that all work was done by hand, with the exception of the jackhammer for excavation, they worked incredibly hard, a very tough, back breaking job. They took a lot of variances into great consideration, such as water flow from the gutters, the grading of the landscaping afterwards so that water would not be an issue. They took a lot of pride in their work and they did a tremendous job. We were considering stamped concrete but so glad we went with pavers as it really elevates and adds so much character to the front of the house. We will have them back next year to continue, phase 2, the front steps and porch.

We were very impressed with Cutting Edge Hardscapes from start to finish. Jake (patio designer) contacted us immediately and was responsive in coming out to our house to help us with the design and layout of the patio. He was responsive to changes we wanted to make and timely in all matters. The actual construction of the patio was punctual, respectful of our property and the neighbors, and of excellent quality! There were a couple of hiccups throughout the process (as with any construction process) which were fixed immediately and to our satisfaction. We have had SO many compliments and it has only been installed for a little over a week. They are a bit pricey, however, we believe that you get what you pay for! Couldn't be happier with the outcome!

It went well. They started well ahead of the promised schedule and worked very quickly to have the project complete.

We LOVE our new brick paver patio. Cutting Edge busted up and removed our small concrete patio and replaced it with an approx. 400 sq. ft. brick paver patio with a sitting wall & fire pit! It is gorgeous. Work was completed within the time frame promised (work actually began & ended earlier than originally anticipated) and the crew was punctual, courteous and kept the area trash free. Our new patio was a little pricey, but with their warranty and workmanship it was worth the $$!

Excellent! Cutting Edge was amazing to work with! The team took all of our ideas and measurements of our house and provided us with a 3D plan that was exactly what we were looking for. The team was out to start the project the first day the weather allowed and completed the very large project in just 1.5 weeks. From the beginning of the design process to the final product we could not have been more satisfied. Any questions or concerns were quickly answered. Every member of the team was extremely helpful and went out of their way to make our experience amazing.

We are extreme do-it-yourselves people and are very particular and rarely hire contractors. Estimator arrived as scheduled and walked and talked through our ideas and offered professional suggestions and then provided verbal estimate. We paid a down-payment and received another visit with a CAD drawing for tweaking and approval as scheduled to meet our time needs. (approx 6:30 p.m.) After approval, we received and signed detailed contract of work and final CAD images. A change was needed per our request prior to start and one necessary on-site change was needed and a simple change order was signed. Received an email of arrival and a scope of work and expectations the day before arrival which was about a week and half earlier than projected! The job-site supervisor was professional and walked through the project and got clarification of our unusual request to retain our old bricks and the soil being removed, which they NEATLY stacked and wheelbarrow-ed to the appointed location and then relocated per request. The location of our project did not allow for use of heavy equipment so all digging and moving of gravel, sand and pavers was done by hand/wheelbarrow. Work crew was extremely hard working, courteous and clean. Job was done over a 10 day period in the 5 days, as projected, due to weather. Company boss visited on first day and fourth day. Communication was quick via phone, email and text and all parties received information in a timely manner and all questions and concerns were dealt with immediately . Work crew arrived on time every day, worked all day with a lunch break, straightened up job site before leaving. The work ethic, skill and craftsmanship was excellent. This is definitely a "you get what you pay for" company.

All employees were helpful and professional from the selection process initially to installation. They left the job site very clean with minimal yard damage. Very easy process.

Service was fantastic, fast and quality. They were finished within a week. They cleaned up afterwards and even seeded and covered in straw an area that needs grass.

Cutting Edge gave us a time frame when they would be able to complete the job and they followed their timeline. The owner spent 35 or 40 minutes on the phone with me talking about the project. Once the date range was agreed upon I also received 2 emails from the company that were what to expect emails and we will be coming out on X date to start the work. Communication was great. The retainer wall look amazing and very professional.

We found Cutting Edge Hardscapes on Angie's List and the salesman, Jake, came out to give an estimate in 2 days. He got back to us with the estimate including a computer sketch of our project in 2 more days and we were put on the list for the work to be done. The results are fantastic, much better than we even imagined. People driving by stop to tell us how great it looks. The curved walls are perfectly level and precisely cut. We highly recommend them to anyone needing paver and/or retaining wall services. It is 100% great!

Designer Jake was very good & responsive to our ideas. Main-man Kevin was always prompt returning calls, made special trip to work out color selection. Installation crew was very prompt, worked late & on Sat. mornings. Their expertise in cutting curves was amazing. Overall project is more beautiful than we imagined. All was done in less than one week! Excellent customer relations and quality from start to finish.

We have had a lot of work done on our house, including kitchens bedrooms bathrooms basements decks, but I must say once this project was finished, we were truly amazed at the quality of the work, and how it turned out in general. Rest assured, you can get work done cheaper, but when it was done, it was truly stunning. The design process was extremely detailed and included 3D life-like graphics of the finished product, which allows you to see what you are getting and make changes. They were extremely flexible and everyone, including Kevin, was completely free of frustration when we occasionally changed the plan, including based on a tree that we were going to try to save, but ended up tearing out, which stopped construction for a day. If you are looking for a cheapo ordinary deck, these aren't the guys for you. If on the other hand you are looking for an amazing, extremely high-end finished product, these are the guys you need. Definitely craftsmen who know their stuff.

Jake was great working with us on a design, letting us incorporate some of our own ideas, while also throwing in some ideas of his own. When the project started, Kevin was always available by phone, text or e-mail to answer any questions. We had one situation with the brick against our house, that we learned as the project got going. It was easy to work with Kevin on a new design that solved the problem and ended up making for a better overall result. I was very impressed with how willing Kevin was to come up with innovative solutions once the project had started, to make sure we got the best result. We had one area where water was pooling near a sitting wall. We noticed this after the project was done and paid for. Within 2 weeks, Wangledy and crew were back out to raise it up a bit and totally solve the issue. Cutting Edge came in right on budget, but was able to start ahead of schedule and also finish ahead of schedule. Their crew were always prompt and very professional. We are so happy with our patio and very happy with the work that was done.

The project went incredibly well. The patio truly looks like a work of art. The attention to detail is incredible. The company's responsiveness prior to the commencement of the project was also outstanding. Jake worked extensively with us to design the patio, making very helpful and thoughtful suggestions on the design, while also working to stay within our budget. Once the project began, the crew who came to do the work was on time, respectful, and professional. I would also add that there was very little damage to our yard from the project because they use a wheelbarrow to transport all of the materials, and any grass that was disturbed was repaired. Kevin, the owner, met with me once the project was completed to ensure we were satisfied. We could not be happier with the patio, and we would recommend Cutting Edge to anyone looking have a patio installed. You will not be disappointed.

The work was done extremely well. All of the workers were great, and Kevin, who is the president of the company, was easy to work with. I will comment that they are probably on the more expensive end of the spectrum for outdoor living space, but you get what you pay for and Cutting Edge did a great job. I don't think there is any reason to try to save a few bucks on a permanent addition to your property if it could potentially cost quality in the workmanship. I can confidently say that these guys did not cut corners and made sure everything was absolutely done correctly. I would definitely hire them again!

We are extremely pleased with our experience with Cutting Edge Hardscapes and our beautiful paver patio. We initially met with Jake who explained Cutting Edge's services and philosophy and discussed with us what we wanted. Last year we got bids from several other companies for the same job (including one who was supposed to install our patio last summer but did not follow through) and we had planned to interview several companies again. After meeting with Jake however, we decided to go with Cutting Edge and we are extremely glad we did. Jake listened to our ideas to insure the patio was to our liking and took measurements and exterior photos of our house and yard to insure the design was proportional to our home. After we reviewed the computer generated design and were given samples of the pavers to be used we were given a tentative start date subject to weather conditions. The owner of the company, Kevin, contacted us, kept us apprised of the start schedule, and was accessible to us throughout the project. He also came out to the job site to make sure all was going well. Despite some weather delays, the project was completed in less than five days. (It would have taken approximately 3 days if the weather had cooperated). Overall, we can't say enough good things about our experience with Cutting Edge Hardscapes. Beside the tangible factor of a beautiful patio (and at least one of us tends to be a perfectionist so our standards are high), there were other factors that made us glad we chose them. From the start, neither Jake nor Kevin made us feel (like other companies did) that our comparatively small job (which was a big deal to us) was not worth their time and effort. Their quote for the job was at the low end of other quotes we received and they offered more in terms of design and attention than any of the companies. Kevin, Jake and the crew were always polite and personable and the crew was hardworking. We appreciated that Kevin even states in writing that his crew will not swear, smoke, drink, etc. on the job. We also liked the fact that hardscapes are the only thing the company does--i.e., they don't also do lawn care and other tasks that take time away from a homeowner having their project completed in a timely manner. The crew cleaned their work area at the end of each day and re-seeded areas of the lawn that were effected by the work. Kevin met with us when the job was completed to verify that we were satisfied with the results, answered any questions, and reviewed with us the (minimal) care of the patio. Overall, we would highly recommend Cutting Edge Hardscapes.

They arrived early, worked consistently and finished quickly.

They were on time, efficient. They cleaned up each day before leaving and they finished on time. They took all product when they were finished and you couldn't tell they were ever here.

First I had a meeting with the designer, Jake, to discuss the project once I committed and paid a deport, Jake drew up detailed plans and a drawing. After the plans were finalized. I signed the contract. They began installation at the agreed upon date. The crew who installed the patio worked quickly & cleanly. Pergola connection (a few week later) also went well.
