I obtained Edgar and Castellanos information from Angie's List. The work was not done properly. Immediately after applying the stain, I could tell that something was not right. The deck had an unusual high gloss shine or wet look that was sticky to touch for a very long time. A film was left on my deck from July 2014 through 2015. When I asked Edgar why the deck looked the way it did, he said to give it some time and the stickiness and wet look would go away. I normally used a different brand and type of semi-transparent stain, but Edgar recommended I use a certain oil based stain that he likes, and I did. Several months after its' application, it still appeared sticky and wet. Edgar and Castellanos Painting states on their Angie's List profile that there is a "2 year warranty on all their jobs". It hasn't even been 2 years since my deck was done, and I have major issues. After the stain was applied to my deck, the stain started to immediately peel off in layers, crack all over and break down. I contacted Edgar and he came out on March 28, 2016 to take a look at my deck's problem. Edgar said that my deck should not look like that in such a short period of time and that I should contact the paint store and the manufacturer of the stain because he thought it was defective product that he applied to my deck. I contacted the representative of the paint store and he came out, took photos of my deck and got with the manufacturer and they both agreed that Edgar did not properly prepare, clean or treat the deck prior to applying the stain. The representative stated that he could tell it wasn't properly done because there were other layers of stain left underneath that should have been removed prior to new stain being put on. He also said that Edgar may have applied the stain when the weather was too cold or the deck was still wet and the new stain never adhered to my deck, which is why it was peeling off in layers. The representative said that Edgar should warranty his work and correct it. He also said that Edgar did not follow the directions on the can of stain. I had 3 other deck specialist come out to give me an estimate and all 3 said the same thing that the deck was not properly prepped and cleaned prior to applying the stain. All 3 estimates said that it would cost me an additional $2,000.00 to properly stain the deck because it had to be chemically treated to remove the old stain, hand sanded and power washed really close. The 3 other estimates I received all offer a 3 year warranty on their decks against cracking, peeling and breaking down. Edgar, himself, told us that it would cost me close to an additional $2,000.00 to fix it. I wouldn't have to incur this outrageous cost if Edgar had done the work properly the first time. Edgar is supposed to be the deck specialist. If anything differently or more should have been done to my deck, he should have let me know or if he felt he didn't know how to do the deck, he should not have accepted the job. The wood on my deck has been properly maintained by other deck experts of the years and my wood was then and is now in great condition, so the stain should not have been a problem to put on. The stain on my deck usually lasts at least 5 or more years before I have to treat it again. I can't even use my deck because of the way it looks and feels. I do not want Edgar or Castellanos Painting to correct my problem. I want my $400.00 refunded to me, so that I can apply that money towards having someone to properly stain my deck. Needless to say, I am the loser in this case because I still have to pay 4 times that amount to someone else to correct the bad work Edgar performed on my deck. I could build a new deck for $2,000.00. Hopefully, Edgar will do the right thing and refund my $400.00.

Edgar was very prompt in looking at the house and estimating the paint need. He supplied the paint at cost and only charged for the painting. His crew did a super job and the house looks great.

Newly painted home exterior is lovely and was done at a reasonable price. Great work done very neatly. Courteous painters who cleaned up their mess at the end of each day. At the end of the project, Edgar came and walked around our home with my husband. Edgar actually saw and addressed some small defects that were not observed by my husband. Would definitely recommend this provider for painting needs.

I bought the big deal for 7 hours of housecleaning. Yanet responded right away to my email and set up a time to come by and look at my house before the scheduled cleaning time. She was always prompt about arriving, calling when she promised, and following up. The cleaning was excellent. She works very fast and efficiently and got most of the little things that everyone else misses. I have bought 5 housecleaning big deals over the last few years and Yanet well above all the others in quality of work and service. We were so happy that we have hired Yanet for regular cleaning of our home. The second visit was just as good as the first and we can't wait to see her again next week.

Mr. Castellanos spent quite a bit of time with me setting this up, and he replied to my follow-up emails quickly. I wanted to cover wallpaper without spending the time and money to strip it. He and I discussed at length the pros and cons, and he sought out a particular paint that did a fine job of covering the wallpaper. The crew arrived promptly and worked diligently throughout the day. They were very thorough and conscientious and kept me informed at each stage of the process. His crew had to do some patching on the drywall, and the mudding and sanding covered the places so well that I cannot even find where they were. The crew was very courteous and also did an exceptional job of cleaning up and leaving the rooms very neat. All of this was accomplished at a price I felt was quite reasonable. I highly recommend Castellanos Services and would gladly hire them again.

This was an excellent experience from start to finish?very meticulous work, the rooms look wonderful. I gave Edgar the key while I was out of the country, when I returned it was all done. We did our walk-through today, he finished some minor details he had planned, I paid, and that was it. This is my kind of service! Definitely will use again and would recommend.

Great! First and foremost Edgar understands customer service. He's upbeat, professional and accommodating. He provided a quote and worked me into his schedule so that I f2f was done before the holiday. When the walls required more prep than planned, he quickly assessed the situation quoted a price for the additional work and got to it. Any concerns, and they were only minor, were immediately addressed. Before Edgar even mentioned payment, he asked me to schedule a final walkthrough to ensure we were pleased with the job. I'm religious about using Angie's List to find contractor's and this was a first. They used premium pain, did great work, were on time and courteous. Wish I would have used them for the exterior the year before. Will definitely use them again!

Edgar responded quickly and gave us a quote within a couple days of contact. His quote was fair and since we appreciate quick responsiveness we went with his company. We were scheduled for work about a month from the quote since it's busy season, but got bumped up by a couple weeks. He came out and power washed Wednesday and Thursday the crew of four guys came and did the rest of the work. The taped, applied plastic to windows, and laid tarps to keep the porch and windows clean from splatter. They were extremely hard workers. The foreman was informative and kind. We were so pleased that they worked a really long day and got the painting done in one day instead of two. Our house looks fresh and clean and I would recommend them in a heartbeat. When we need more work done we will call Edgar back.

Castellanos did a FANTASTIC JOB! Great communication from Edgar and considering it rained everyday we finally got the house painted. The house was in great need of painting. Price was great! The transformation is awesome. There is no way we could have done this job ourselves. They did everything we requested. I highly recommend then for your painting needs.We will be hiring them again.

Everything was professional and Edgar stayed in communication with me about when the job would be done. . Job was completed well and pricing was fair. It was easy, they did a great job and we were happy with the work.

It was fine. My wife did it. She had them keep going and did some more. I can't remember what it was. It was very satisfactory. It's good value, good quality. They were timely, neat, cleaned up behind themselves and communicated well. I don't know what other metrics you want in terms of satisfaction. But good value for money and high satisfaction. The color selection wasn't there but it was pretty spectacular. She picked out one of these blue shades the I ended up calling a siesta blue. It really lightened the room like sunshine, the blue sky. They did a great job. She wanted to brighten it up. They were fine.

We were very impressed with Castellanos Services. From coordinating the painting with Edgar, to discussing colors, to the actual painting itself, everything went smoothly. Once the date was set the paint crew was on time, professional, and did a meticulous job. They did not disturb the landscaping and did an exceptional job cleaning up when they were done both days. The whole job took 1.5 days. We love the finished product, and would certainly recommend them to others.

In a word??? "FANTASTIC". I am very, very pleased with the quality an workmanship that went into this project!! Mr. Castellanos is a pleasant, young professional man to work with! He contacted me to set up a time to come out to my home once I purchased Angies "Big Deal" in a very timely fashion. He wrote up an estimate & explained the costs & provided me with a contract of all he said that he would do. They first power washed the entire house & prepared it for painting. There were NO surprises & all his workers were equally enjoyable to work with. They were done in about 2-1/2 days & left NO mess. Castellanos Services was prompt & couretous. I would recommend there service to anyone I know & will gladly have them back in the future when the time comes again to have the house re-painted. Mr. Castellanos told me at the beginning that he paints his customers houses as if they are his own or his workers. He was not kidding!! A super job men! Thank you for all your hard work!!!

Edgar promptly provided a quote for the work. Once his team started the work, we added other areas for them to paint. He quickly updated the quotes for us so that we could move forward with the work. The painters were polite, worked diligently and completed the work in a timely manner. They used drop cloths to protect furniture and flooring and cleaned up after themselves.

This company exceeded my expectations with their professionalism and high-quality of work. From the very first contact after finding them on Angie's List, Edgar and his crew showed up on time (or even earlier) and always were courteous and careful about their work. My house was in rough shape having not been painted in more than 10 years. There were a lot of dead vines on one side of the house that needed to be scraped down by hand and then sanded. They got to work on that right away with a lot of old-fashioned, elbow grease and that area looks like brand new siding now. They also power washed the house and caulked around the windows. If there ever was a question, the workers always asked me first to make sure they were not making a mistake or doing something I would not like. For example, asking me before trimming back some tree branches that were up against the house. I appreciated that. I also appreciated how they cleaned up after themselves each day. Overall I would highly recommend them due to their competitive and fair price, excellent work and pleasant attitude. It was just a wonderful experience having them at my home and I will use them again for some interior painting in the future.

Originally hired Castellanos Services for interior painting. When I told Edgar (owner) that we were going to get carpet installed after painting, he informed me that they do flooring / carpet as well. Provided a very competitive quote, and had the carpet installed immediately following the paint. Very professional outfit, staffed the job to finish quickly which was appreciated. No problems at all. Highly recommend and will use again.

Edgar and his entire crew provided us with exceptional service and very high quality work. They took great care of every detail and completed the project quickly and according to our schedule. In addition to the painting, they made numerous repairs to drywall and trim --- everything looked fantastic! I would recommend this company to anyone; and already plan to use them again this spring for exterior powerwash and painting.

The complete job went VERY WELL. I was very happy with the overall scheduling & planning of the painting. All 3 rooms & ceilings were painted very well , i even was able to add a small hallway & ceiling for an additional amount. i was so happy I have used them again since for another painting project.
