Description of Work: I called to repair my oven, not staying on. I was scheduled for Saturday however knowing that I would likely need a part the repair tech called Friday to discuss problem and asked if he could stop by n see if could diagnose problem so he could have the right part. He looked at ignition and stated it was out of his expertise and suggested another repair company that specialized in Maytag. Instead of charging me their was no charge. I appreciate his honesty and time. I would definitely would call this company again.

Description of Work: Called first thing Saturday morning and BR Appliance was able to come out 1 hr later. He took apart the dryer and diagnosed the problem right away. He was very careful with all the pieces and did a great job cleaning up when done. I am very happy with the work done and will use them in the future for both my own home and rental property.

Description of Work: I came home to find water under my refrigerator. There was no refrigeration for either my freezer or refrigerator. My first response was oh, what do I do now!!! I checked out Angie's List (after I calmed down) and found Broad Ripple Appliance. The woman I spoke to was very nice. She said her technician was busy but she could assure me the first appointment the next day but said she would call her technician and he would call me. He called and said he was on his way! This was the same day. I was very pleased with the service. The technician's name was Brad. He was very courteous and gave me three financial options from which to choose. I was very satisfied with the service and will definitely use them again for all of my appliances! Thank you, Angie's List!!!

Description of Work: Washing machine quit working. Called BR appliance on Monday, Dennis came out the next day to look at it. After a thorough inspection, concluded that the agitator transmission wasn't working properly. Gave quote to fix it and also quote on a refurbished washer they have at the store. I decided to buy a new washer.

Description of Work: After contacting Broad Ripple Appliance about a fridge repair and learning they also sold scratch and dent appliances, I decided to go with the latter. The refrigerator I chose was older and had been used in a break room at a company for 4 years. I negotiated the price but still felt it was too much to pay for a used fridge...however still about 1/3 of the cost of a comparable new one. It was delivered and set up, my old fridge was put out in the garage, and the broken one taken away. However the one delivered still needed cleaning inside...I thought that should have been done before delivery. Also I did not have a Users Manual. When I inquired about this it seemed to be a challenge to the people at the shop. I went online and finally found someone at Fridgidaire to help me locate and download this manual, even though I nor the people at Broad Ripple Appliance never could find a serial number. It seems to have been removed (white spot inside where it should have been located)? This all transpired 3 days ago so we'll see how it works. There is a 30 day warranty.

Description of Work: We recently had our clothes dryer repaired by Service Experts of Broad Ripple (formerly known as Broad Ripple Appliance). We got an immediate response when phoning in for service, and the technician arrived on schedule the next day and installled a new belt for the dryer drum. Before coming out, the technician had asked for the make and model number of the dryer; consequently, he came prepared with the correct part to install. I'd give them an A for their response and for this repair.

Description of Work: Called because air conditioner fan didn't come on. Repairman came and identified the problem -- didn't have power because the circuit breaker needed to be reset. There was no problem with the equipment but it even took the repairman some time to identify the problem. While he was here he thoroughly checked the air conditioner Repairman knew that we were concerned about the price of the service call and kept our fees to a minimum.

Description of Work: The bake element in my oven burned out and needed to be replaced. The office staff worked with me to determine what type of element I would need and provided a quote very quickly. They also advised that it was a simple repair that I could probably do myself. However, I preferred to have a professional take care of it. The repairman was on time and very professional. I'll definitely use this company's services again if I ever need any appliance repairs.

Description of Work: We had two problems with our refrigerator, one serious and one minor. The serious one was a water leak from the refrigerator. The minor one was that our icemaker kept jamming up. They came out 2-3 days after our call to them. The water continued to leak while we waited. On the first visit, they turned the water off and had to order a part. The repairman said there was no problem with the icemaker. The charge for that visit was $45 for the service call. The icemaker continued to jam up. They did not call back when they promised. We called them a few days after they were to call. We were told the part was in and a second visit was arranged. We also told them that the icemaker was still not working and we wanted them to look at it again. On the 2nd visit they put in the new part for the water line and unjamed the icemaker, something I had been doing, as needed, for weeks. They said the icemaker was working. The charge for the second visit, which lasted about 15 minutes, was $118 for parts and labor. The icemaker jammed shortly after they left. I called again and scheduled a 3rd visit for the icemaker. They arrived 1 1/2 hr early. The repairman wrote down a number for a part and left, although he did not spend any time looking at the icemaker. There was no charge for the visit. When I called later to see what they planned to do, I was told that we needed a new motor for the icemaker. The motor would cost about $200 plus a labor charge to install it. We told them not to order it because we do not trust that they know what is wrong with or how to repair the icemaker. We will not use them again.

Description of Work: WASHER WAS MAKING A CLICKING SOUND AND THE SERVICE MAN FOUND THE DIAL WAS IN BETWEEN TWO SETTINGS.

Description of Work: We used Broad Ripple Appliance to replace our oven controller. They also looked at the clothes dryer because it wasn't turning off properly. They got that figured out but it took a couple of trips. First they thought it was a timer and then they thought it was a rheostat. They replaced both of those and it still wasn't working. Then they decided that it was too close to the wall and wasn't getting enough ventilation.

Description of Work: I have been very pleased with Broad Ripple Heat/air for several years. I have a service contract for my Heatingg/air equiptment and find that they contact me when I'm due for a check-up. They have been willing to work around my schedule and I feel their pricing is reasonable. My other comments are reflected in the check list.
