Bill is very helpful with ideas on paints, always picking the best match. He's careful not to disrupt the house while he's working. Bill is professional and personable, and cleans up any mess before he leaves for the day. We think Bill's prices are reasonable, he's an honest man and a very nice person to have in your home.
Description of Work: Bill painted the kitchen ceiling, pantry, chandelier, kitchen cabinets (outside), also backs of cabinets and below the counter on the back side, table, chairs and step stool.

 + -1 moreBill did a fantastic job. He was always on time and completed the work in the time frame he had set initially. He was extremely knowledgeable regarding various staining techniques and really had to use these various techniques on our woodwork, as some of the woodwork had been stained before and some hadn't. We feel that we definitely got our money's worth out of this job. We will definitely recommend Mr. Reneau to our friends and have him come back for any future staining or painting that we may need.
Description of Work: Mr. Reneau stained several newly constructed/installed large newel posts and hand rails in our home, as well as a length of wood paneling that was the exterior wall of a loft. The wood paneling and two of the newel posts had previously had one coat of stain put on them. Mr. Reneau prepped the wood for the stain, and then did the staining and subsequent sealing of the wood. The woodwork is beautiful! He also patched and prepped a few spots on our walls so that we could finish painting them.

He was very good at cleaning up each evening and did not leave a mess at all during the time of his work. He was very good at making suggestions without being pushy. He was very clear about what he was going to do and when. He was flexible on dealing with a few items that came up during the work. He stuck to his price and never asked for any changes to our agreement, when he might have. Bill was always on time. Overall, a very good experience and we will have him back for future work.
Description of Work: Bill removed wall paper from a stairway and hallway area in addition to painting our living room both walls and ceiling, our front door plus the area he removed wall paper from originally. In addition, Bill prepared and treated our family room paneling so it too could be painted in order to lighten up the room. The ceiling was also painted.

He painted our 2 story family room with a vaulted ceiling. Not only did he paint but we needed some minor ceiling repairs in the family room as well as in the powder room. Mr. Reneau offered to repair them and he did a great job we truly were not expecting that. He did a fantastic job and my walls look GREAT!!!

 + -1 moreBill did a fantastic job of painting a spare room a very lively color. He fit me in on very short notice so I did not have to reschedule carpet installation or a treadmill delivery. He always returned calls promptly & was always willing to answer my questions. Due to the longer drying time of the highly-pigmented paint, he had to come back the next day to do another coat (which he wasn't planning on). He came bright & early the next day to finish the work. I am very satisfied with the quality of his work & would use him again.
Description of Work: Bill painted the walls of an 11x11 room (the trim & ceiling were already painted).

 + -1 moreJob 1: Bill's work is great. He was able to fit us in, as a smaller job, between other work he was doing. The areas he patched & painted blended in & are un-noticeable. His work is detailed & meticulous; he cleans up each day & is very easy to work with. He is a one-man company & very dependable. We highly recommend him. His charges are extremely reasonable. Job 2: As with previous times, Bill's work is excellent; he is prompt, professional & very easy to work with. Giving him access to the house without anyone else present is safe & a great plus. He matched colors perfectly & cleaned up well, as always. We highly recommend him.
Description of Work: Job 1:Home is being sold & several areas needed patching & touch-up work, a couple of window sills need work & a closet need to be painted. Repair & painting of two scraped areas in the stairwell & removal/patching of nails & nail holes.($240.) Job 2: Wallpaper removal & interior painting. This was a repeat call to Bill; he's worked for us several times. Wallpaper was removed from 3 bathrooms & part of another room, the 3 bathrooms painted. For a large family room, Bill told us of the time/cost requirement for the removal of wallpaper versus cutting/patching seams, priming & painting over wallpaper. He was very honest in his information & opinion. We chose priming & painting the larger room.($1400.)

WE DISCUSSED IN DETAIL EXACTLY WHAT KIND OF PAINT WOULD BE USED AND HOW MANY COATS WOULD BE NEEDED. I DO WISH HIS WRITTEN ESTIMATE HAD BEEN AS DETAILED. HIS PRICE WAS COMPETITIVE AND I WOULD HAVE HAD NO QUALMS ABOUT HIRING HIM. HOWEVER, I CHOSE A DIFFERENT PAINTER FOR VARIOUS REASONS.

I AM SURE OTHER COMPANIES WOULD JUST HAVE GONE AHEAD AND PAINTED THE "WRONG" WHITE. HE GOT HIS WORK DONE IN THE TIME HE ADVISED ME. HE WAS PLEASANT TO TALK TO.
