Description of Work: Company has done a lot of service work on my house. I consider them the best. Why"? They have a great training program and the President of the company teaches at the Trade Center. They are the best plumbers around. Timely and techniqually proficient.

We heard water running and we checked the crawlspace, there were several inches of water. We called American Water Resources who called Kelllie Plumbing. The plumber came soon after we called and had it fixed in less than an hour. This was at 9:30 PM. Great service, great response.
Description of Work: We had a pinhole leak in copper pipe in the crawlspace. He removed and replaced a 90 degree fitting and some copper pipe. Cost was low because we have a service agreement through American Water Resources.

He showed up on time - calling before he arrived. He listened well to what I wanted and checked things out - explaining everything as he went. He scheduled another time to come and do the work. He showed up on time, did the job then explained everything that he did. He even told me how to fix a leaking toilet. He called a week later to make sure everything was okay and to see if I had any additional questions.
Description of Work: Put in a main shut-off valve in the house - previously there wasn't any. Put in pressure adjusting valve because too much pressure was coming into the house and causing a water hammer.

Everything went according to plan. We were very well informed throughout the entire process and were encouraged to be invlolved in how the problem was being fixed. Very prompt, efficient and professional. They even came in under estimate!!
Description of Work: They came out to check our lines. We had a clog and water was not draining. I called and they came out the same morning. There ended up being a bigger problem than what we had anticipated. We had roots growing into our main line and some of the line had been busted to the point where ground water was flowing in. They showed me with a camera what was going on and gave advice before we proceeded with any additional work. It was explained that the pipes would have to be dug out so the roots could be removed and then they would be able to check the rest of the line for damage. The city was notified and Kellie came out to finish up the job the next day.

They fixed the problem but grossly over billed us for the minimal work. We had them do complete plumbing in a new bathroom, kitchen, and 2nd floor bathroom 2 years ago and spent considerable money with them in the past. This will be the last time we let them rip us off.
Description of Work: Called to have them repair the water heater they installed 18 months ago. We had a thermocouple fail and the pilot light would not stay lit. They came quickly and the repair only took 40 minutes. They billed us for 2 people for 2 hours at a cost of $210. Considering we spent considerable money to redo the entire house 2 years ago, they really hammered us for a minor repair.

Kellie Plumbing repaired the leak in a very short time, and did a fantastic job. You could not even tell there was work done by looking at our yard afterward. They took good care of the lawn, and cleaned up after themselves.
Description of Work: A water main was broke in between the house and the sidewalk. The yard had to be dug up and the main pipe replaced.

THEY MADE NO STATEMENT TO US THAT WE WOULD BE BILLED FOR THE WORK, YET 4 BUSINESS DAYS LATER, WE GET AN INVOICE IN THE MAIL FROM THEM. THEY NEVER TURNED A WRENCH OR ACTUALLY DID ANY WORK. I DID CALL THEM AND TELL THEM ABOUT THIS, BUT THE COMPANY INSISTED THAT THIS IS THE STANDARD CHARGE AND THERE WAS NOTHING THEY WOULD DO ABOUT IT. THE PRESIDENT OF THE COMPANY, TIM, AGREED WITH ME THAT THERE WAS NO VALUE-ADDED WORK PERFORMED, BUT SOMEONE HAD TO PAY THE MINIMUM SERVICE CHARGE. AGAIN, THE GUY AT THE SITE NEVER SAID WE WOULD BILLED FOR THIS.

On the morning of 11/28/06, the member called (not the builder) and demanded we come out the same day for a master shower leak. We sent one of our best plumbers out within a few hours who determined we did not install the shower drain fitting. Time spent including travel was approximately 90 minutes; however customer was only charged for the first hour at our preferred builder labor rate that includes travel time-our normal residential customer hourly rate including travel time to New Palestine is $175.00. We invoiced and mailed the bill on 11/29. This information has been shared with the customer several times. The bill has been paid and no reduction or refund is warranted. I wasn't happy with them. I did not like the price. My contractor told them where to place the drain for the hot tub. It was a very costly mistake.

WE WERE HIRED BY THE MEMBER BECAUSE SHE DID NOT TRUST THE CONTRACTOR TO DO THE PLUMBING WORK. THE CONTRACTOR INSTRUCTED US AS TO WHERE TO INSTALL THE DRAIN LINE - HE INSTALLED THE HOT TUB. WE HAVE HAD NO INQUIRIES FROM CUSTOMER REGARDING QUALITY OF INSTALLATION, PRICE OR REQUEST TO MOVE THE LINE.

Overall experience was poor. The company sent a young inexperienced plumber. He put tub drain, toilet drain and vanity drains in the wrong location by 8-10 inches in each case. The new slab floor in having to be cut for another competent plumber to relocate these lines. If you use this company for new construction be sure to double check their work before floors or walls are closed!

TENANT WAS THERE THE FIRST DAY OUR SERVICEMAN WAS THERE (2 HOUR CHARGE FOR ONE MAN) - CRAWL SPACE EXTREMELY TIGHT AND SERVICEMAN COULD NOT COMPLETE. WE RETURNED TWO DAYS LATER (TWO MEN WERE REQUIRED DUE TO TIGHT CRAWL SPACE), AND CAPPED ALL INDIVIDUAL LINES INSTEAD OF TRUNK LINE TO ALLOW FOR APPLIANCES, SINKS, AND RESTROOMS TO OPERATE IN REAR. THEY DID A LOT OF WORK FOR A VERY REASONABLE COST. THEY REALLY WORKED HARD TO REBUILD THE ORIGINAL 1922 FAUCETS IN OUR HOME. HE MADE SEVERAL TRIPS OUT HERE TO GET IT JUST RIGHT AND HE DIDN'T CHARGE EXTRA. TO ME, THAT IS SUPER SERVICE. I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE COST AND WITH THE QUALITY OF WORK. THEY CAME OUT THE VERY NEXT DAY!!! THEY SAID IF THEY COULDN'T DO IT THAT DAY THAT WE CALLED, THAT THEY WOULD DO IT THE NEXT DAY. THEY CALLED US TO LET US KNOW THAT THEY WERE RUNNING BEHIND IN JOBS AND ASKED IF THEY COULD COME OUT THE VERY NEXT MORNING AND WE SAID YES. THEY CHARGED ME NOT ONLY FOR THEIR LABOR, BUT FOR THE TIME FIGURING THE BILL AND WRITING OUT THE INVOICE. ALSO CHARGED ME AN ADDITIONAL $40.00 FOR USING THEIR MOTORIZED SNAKE. THEIR ACTUAL TIME WORKING ON THE DRAIN WAS LESS THAN AN HOUR.

I am sorry the member was unhappy with our price. He was charged for one hour of service and the machine charge. In order to provide the quality responsive and professional service our customers demand, it is necessary to charge a labor rate commensurate with this expectation. These labor rates were actually lower than most companies at the time.
