Description of Work: I purchased a big deal from Property Pros. They cleaned out my flower beds.

Description of Work: I originally had them come out to give an estimate for some work I needed done (purchased a big deal). The initial service was great and he even talked me into switching my lawn moving service to them. I submitted my contracts back in early April and as of today, nothing has been mowed nor has a date been set for the other work to be done. My lawn is the worst looking in the neighborhood because it is past due to be mowed, and I am embarrased by the way it looks. I plan to purchase a lawnmower this evening and just do the work myself.

Description of Work: Wow, I cannot say enough good about Property Pros! The whole process from estimate to job completion was terrific- but the best part of all is the followup by Josh. He checked on his crew's work and made improvements and corrections before we even were aware of any issue! This is something I have NEVER experienced and we will continue hiring Property Pros for our landscaping/yard needs!

Description of Work: we had edging done for many areas around the house. property pros did a fabulous job.They also cleaned up some branches and brush and hauled it all away. we were so pleased that we are having them back to mulch.

Description of Work: I bought the big deal. I tried calling to schedule because I had a day I could take off coming up and no one answered the phone. I didn't want to leave a message because I didn't want to play phone tag. I'd call 2-3 times a day with the same result. I then repeated the above about 4 times until I assumed it was too cold out to get the work I needed done and then the deal expired.

Description of Work: this was an angie's list deal. They came out, estimated the job. He gave me his cell phone to call as soon as I sprayed for weeds. I called him on a Saturday and he told me to call back on Monday. Time passed, I finally called him. Set up an appt. They set up a time and kept me waiting all day. They finally got there at 5p and were there until dark. I had no idea how long they were there (this was a rental) but when I got the bill they said they were there until 9p. I questioned the bill but paid it. Just told them I wouldn't use them again.

Description of Work: We had done an Angie's list big deal for a landscape evaluation/plan. We have done one of these before somewhere else where we lived (another state) and found it very helpful. When we had done this with another company, they had walked our property with us, made some recommendations, but didn't give us any drawings which was fine. They had given us enough information that we could come up with our own landscaping plan and they had given us a coupon for $ off any plants we bought through them. We are do it your selfers, so this was great for us. That was not the case with this deal. It started off bad to begin with. We were called because he was running late (don't remember who it was with - but one of the owners) and needed to reschedule which wasn't a big deal. Then was late to the new appt. That's a big deal with my husband - essentially late to work twice. My husband sees this as disrespectful and bad business practice, so he was already wanting to cancel. On arrival, we were told they would refund our money due to their having to reschedule, etc. That was fine, but the deal was not worth it. We asked questions, but never got any concrete information. We were told "I like to walk the customers property first and then make some recommendations." I think the entire time we walked the property, he was only coming up with a landscape plan. We were never told anything specific except about how much it would cost to do some of the landscaping. It was a total waste of our time. This to me was a not so free estimate. Glad our money was refunded. We are working with another company who gave us a lot more info.

Description of Work: Purchased as a Big Deal (which lowered the cost to me), this company aerated the lawn in our front yard; that is, the company punched lots of little holes through the grass and thatch into the earth, to promote the flow of water, air and nutrients into the roots of the lawn. After the aeration, the lawn looked surprisingly clean and neat, but upon close inspection I could see the many, many little holes, confirming that the job had been done. The aeration was done in the fall of 2011, and during the spring of 2012 our lawn looked the best it ever has (alas, then the drought struck). The good news is that once the rains started coming again, our lawn bounced back well.

Description of Work: I bought a Big Deal for a Landscape Design and Consultation. The young man from Property Pros arrived on time and was very nice - I liked him a lot. I was looking for advice on which trees to keep and which to get rid of, in a yard that I have let go, too long. He did give me the pros and cons of getting rid of everything versus keeping the wooded cover that provides me with privacy. He mentioned some prices for what it would cost, but never sent a written estimate and have no idea what the prices were - because there are several sections of the yard which could be done. He also encouraged me to get other quotes. Before he left, I asked him to send a plan - since that is what I purchased, and he agreed - but I didn't get that either. I feel like I paid $50 for an estimate and have nothing on paper - when most Angie's list providers will give estimates for free - and will write them down so the homeowner can refer to them. In this - I place some of the blame on Angie's List. I believe they are getting too close to their providers - they are in a position of conflict because they obviously must get some of the money for these Big Deals. Once you buy a Deal like this - you as homeowner have a vested interest in getting something for your money - so you may lock yourself into a deal that isn't best for you, just because you have skin in the game. I have this issue with another provider for which i paid $99. I'm not saying they are all bad - I have successfully purchased 2 painters for a day several times and got good work. It is just in the really grey areas like this that you have to be very careful. I still am considering using this company for identifiable and managable work that I can supervise - because I saw the other reviews and they seem to be well-liked by people who use them. My only issue is paying $50 for 20 minutes of someone's estimate time, and having no Design Plan or Estimate to show for it.

Description of Work: I wanted a Landscaping consultation instead he offered leaf removal service for $750 per removal and said I needed three!!!! I have someone that removes my leaves for free so why would he offer those services. I was looking for landscape consultation which I told him but he still sent email telling me how much leaf removal service x 3 would cost??? I wanted a landscape consultation not an exorbitant and expensive leaf removal service (I already have someone that removes my leaves for free???)
