Not much to tell with aerating a yard. Overall it went as well as expected.

AThey did a great job of communicating to us via email and then coming out for an intensive review of our property. after we decided on the plan, the crew came our adn executed the plan quickly and efficiently. The work was top-notch.

They came out and provided and estimate with a reasonable rate, scheduled promptly and performed the work in a very timely fashion.

Worked in brutally hot weather to complete the job.

Never got a finished design - i think they wanted only to do an overview for The Big Deal

My wife says they were "great!" It was an Angie's List special for outdoor work.

We had to call - twice before any one called us back. The guy was late to the appointment. He made NO recommendations, made cursory notes to what we would like and would get back to us. THREE calls this time before we received an estimate. They did NOT provide any design assistance. They were no help in assisting with various ideas, etc. They NEVER followed up with us.

This was a Angie's List special, so the price was attractive. Did the work on time. They were attentive to my concerns about our invisible fence that runs around the perimeter of our property.

We purchased the Angie's list deal that noted the contractor would be in touch to schedule a time to perform the job. We failed to try and make contact in a timely manner as well. We did not receive any calls or emails regarding scheduling. The work was performed to our satisfaction but we would have liked to have more communication but we do take some responsibility as we did not reach out in a timely manner to the contractor.

I purchased an Angie's List "Big Deal". I purchased many bulbs while in Holland earlier this year and I knew I would never get them planted without help. They insisted on coming out to meet with me before the actual planting appointment and I didn't think it was necessary, but it turned out to be a good thing. The two owners did the work. They were very fast, very professional and very good to work with.

Very good service, nice lines on the lawn. Good trimming of the edges.

It went well. There were 4 men who stayed nearly 2 hours. They hand dug the edges and used wheelbarrows to tote the edgings to two low locations in our yard.

They came out and gave me suggestions and price. We set up a date and time for the crew to take care of the work. Worth the price and saved my back! Would have taken several week ends for me to do what was done in a very short time and with better results.

We were looking for a company that we could count on year after year. We thought the Big Deal would be a great opportunity to find that. The company was quick to respond to our call and scheduled an appointment in a timely manner. The salesman did show up at the appointed time. My husband walked him through the work we needed done. When they discussed the deck he was told us that it would clean up great but since it was a composite they would need to use chemicals in addition to pressure washing, which was an addional $100. Salesman also commented that our 14x24' deck with no benches railing or lattice would likely take the entire 4 hours included in the Big Deal. I guess that probably should have been our 1st clue that this wasn't going to be a good experience. Our 2nd clue should have been that we were required to pay the extra $100 up front. We naively assumed that this was a reputable company interested in building a clientele and would do the job to insure our business and referrals in the future. WRONG! I called the day of service to see if they could give me a window of time for the service. I spoke with the owner who said no that they did not do that because they had gotten burned by that in the past which did not make sense to me. I pressed him to at least give me an AM or PM commitment, which he did reluctantly, however it did require an hour wait for a return phone call. The young man who came to do the work did a nice job on the deck, without any chemicals. Of course, if I hadn't been present when the deck was cleaned I would have assumed that the chemicals had been used. It has crossed my mind that this could have been the reason for not being willing to schedule a window of time for the service. I had to ask him to go over a couple of small areas a 2nd time, which he did. When my husband called to ask for a refund for the chemicals that weren't used, the owner told him that they couldn't do that since we had gone over our time limit which also included travel time. My husband refused to take that answer so he was then told that the best that could be done was a partial refund. However when we deposited the $60 check, it bounced. That told us a lot about why we were not getting a total refund. Our dissatisfaction with this company is not about a huge sum of money, obviously. It is about honesty and integrity. I have worked in the service industry for 30 years, and if I did my job this way, I wouldn't have a clientele. I realize the customer isn't actually always right, but there is a right and wrong way to do business. This the wrong way. They did send us a coupon for services in the future. We will not be redeeming it.

I was originally impressed with professionalism of person who came to give me the quote and gave me the date that service was to be performed. He asked me to call the utility company to set flags several days before service. (I later found out this was unusual and that in most cases, the landscaping company does this task. I found this out because I had a different company doing the planting and the utility company showed up a second time as ordered by the other landscaping company!) Work was set for several weeks out, and no confirmation call was ever made. The morning of the service date, I was waiting for crew and doing a little prep work. The crew never arrived and around 11:30, I called to make sure they were coming. The person I talked to seem agitaed by my call and said that they had so many crews that they never were sure when they would be there but yes, they were coming. (I honestly don't know how they can run a business without work estimates and crew schedules!) I said that even when you get repair service for appliances, you are at least given the courtesy of morning or evening and they said they did not work that way. Then the person that I originally talked to got on the phone and he said that the crew should be there within the hour. When the crew arrived, they worked relatively quickly and efficiently. They siad that they could not get the very large, intrusive weed that I asked them to take out of the tree in the back and only cut it down at the bottom. I had paid for 8 hours of labor and after a collective 5 hours and 45 minutes (I was about to go out and check on them when the front door rang) they were finished. Not only finished, but truck loaded, totally cleaned up and ready to go. Not at all ready to ask me what else they could do, but saying goodbye. It was very awkward to ask them to do anything else. It was clear that they were leaving. I called the office two times and left two messages to give them a chance to talk to them about a) their "procedures" of scheduling and b) the fact that I did not get my full 8 hours of labor but I never received a return phone call. I think the owner knew that I was dissatisfied with him, because he had also given me a quote to clean and seal my deck, which I obviously did not do!! I would never use them or recommend them in the future.

Did a good job. Had them give estimate for other yard work such as mulching but their bid was to high. I would use them in the future if cost weren't so high.

I would use Josh and his crew again. They were timely, affordable, knowledgeable and never left a mess. Awesome Job.

The person showed up on time, reviewed current placement of plants, flower garden etc. Gave few recommendations. But I expected a thorough analysis and expected a written document of dos and don't and a drawing of how i should change my garden layout. But didn't receive any such document.

Purchased "Big Deal" for lawn aeration. Contacted vendor and set window for job. Vendor arrived, flagged sprinkler system locations, completed aeration, then left, all without further contact. Great execution of order. Would use in future.

Overall job I was happy with , no complaints, I would use again.

I'm not sure if there was a communication issue between Angie's List and them regarding the deal; but, what he was offering and what I purchased were not the same thing. They did call to follow up and made sure they didn't waste my time.

They were very professional. The gentleman was very personable. I told him my concerns regarding my flower beds because of sprinklers and roots and they took special care around my plants so as not to damage any.

They were very punctual, and they completed the job with a sense of urgency. I wish they would have put down a weed barrier in the flower bed, but that was my fault, not theirs. I had an initial consultation with one of the managers about the lay out, and coloring of the mulch. The first layer of mulch they laid was the wrong color, bu they did come back and put another layer over it.
