The crew of 4 were out there for most of the day speeding through the list of items to do that would have taken me most of the spring to complete. I did speak with the lead about some other items that need attention around the home. I've scheduled for one of the projects to proceed.

First of all, after making an appointment for them to come out, they never came. I called and was told the appointment was for a different day (not so). When they did come, their crew leader never had the list of things I asked to be done. The owner, who had previously come out to my house to see what needed to be done, wrote down what I wanted done and said this list would be given to the crew who would do the work. So I had to go through everything with this man again. As for the work they did, it was not a very good job. They trimmed some of the bushes so small; others were trimmed crooked with the bushes leaning forward; others were just "chopped" with no regard as to how to trim. Branches were cut in the middle, suckers were left standing, no regard was given to shaping or what branches should be removed or left to grow. The crew removed debris from beds, pulling out lots of the small landscape stones. These stones, I later found, were left in my yard and never raked back into the beds. The large snowball bush (which now looked like a tree) was trimmed so badly that I had to get my neighbor to come and help me redo it. They just cut into it as if they had no idea about proper trimming techniques. They were in a hurry to leave and this showed it! Although I purchased this as a special deal, I feel I did not get what I paid for. The crew leader never inspected what the two other men did and at one point in the job, he left to do something else. I would not hire this company again, mainly because they do not know how to work with living plants and they hire people who have no training as to what to do with the plants. They also seem to be hurried in their work just to get the job done.

They designed and did the front beds. The work went well. They did a good job.

They were evidently overwhelmed by their Big Deal response because they have a first come first serve policy and they were weeks out for scheduling the work to be done. Originally, we got estimates on all our outdoor work because we were putting our home on the market for sale, but when it came to scheduling they could not accommodate our time schedule. So we found other providers to do some of the work, and had Property Pros do the edging, mulching and drain. We also noticed that their cost per manhour even on the Big Deal was high for the service category. We were finally notified of a date for the work to be performed but that day were notified that they would be out the next day. Then we got an email saying that their office would be closed for the weekend and would open again on Monday. Evidently they sustained some flooding at their field building. When the guys finally came to do the yard work, the team lead was highly professional and they accomplished their work in a highly organized manner. I think PropPros need more organization in their office and administration, rely less on email, and have a lot less overhead to be competitive in their pricing. Maybe they should augment the number of people actually doing the work so they can schedule more work and accomplish it in spite of the rain. It always rains in April. So, in sum, the work performed was performed well. Cost was a little high. We would use them again if we could justify the cost. And Spring cleanup will have to be scheduled in Winter so it can be accomplished on time.

They came and conquered. It took them no time at all to make landscaping look nice.

Satisfied overall. The person who came out promised that we wouldn't recognize our landscaping when they were done with it ... I think that was overpromising a little. Mulch was put down as promised, but nothing looked radically different (some shrubs I requested be pulled were not; they said they were going to dig up some bulbs and move them and that didn't happen). Everyone we encountered was friendly, and they were responsive when we requested they come back to fix the shrubs that were trimmed unevenly. I had to ask twice for them to pull out some bushes on either side of our front porch. They did come back with some arborvitae I requested and planted those (obviously at an additional cost separate from the Big Deal). I would use them again, but probably be more specific about expectations, cost, etc. up front. This was my first time using a landscaping service, so I probably didn't know what to expect.

They worked very hard and got the job done. Had some bushes to plant in a difficult area and they got the job done. Bushes still thriving

They came out initially to look at my property and gave an estimate based on the work we discussed. They were very helpful explaining the process and the work I would need to do after they completed the work. The crew came out a few weeks later and introduced themselves to me and got right to work. By the time they were done I had a great looking lawn that looked like it had been there for years. After they got packed up they went over the watering instructions again to make sure it has the best chance at taking root. It was a great experience and I would use them again.

Property Pros arrived on time with iPad in hand. I had told them ahead of time I had removed all the shrubbery in front of the house and wanted a professional's ideas for a new landscaping design per the Big Deal. If possible, I also wanted some ideas for the back yard to provide shade in certain areas. The young man suggested nothing more than planting new arbor vitae which I had just removed. He offered no other possibilities. When I asked for some other ideas, he said I had misunderstood the Big Deal. I chose not to go any farther. The company refunded my money which I appreciate.

They did a good job. Everything went well.

Very punctual and professional. The beds look great and hopefully with some plants that we add will add dollars to the house value.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal and I bought two units. I won't be using them and I won't be recommending them. They showed up promptly. It was one worker for 6 hours or 2 workers for 3 hours. There are 2 owners and one of them showed up within 4 or 5 days to look at the job. I walked him around and he tied little pink ribbons to things that needed trimming. That owner and a Hispanic worker showed up to do the work. I observed the worker doing the work and the owner doing the directing. They did fine on some of the stuff they did. I had an apple tree that was bending over and close to the cable that comes into my house. I asked them to cut it back and they cut it back and it is missing the wire by about 14 inches. The trouble is that as soon as it gets any snow or ice on it, it is going to bend down and touch the wire. I had discussed him cutting it back 4 feet. They did the minimal. I asked them to remove a branch that was hanging down and they didn't. They cut the invisible dog fence wire so I had to have that repaired at $90. I told the owner about it. He said he would confer with his partner. The second owner called and left a message. He was rude and blunt and said they don't do work over 18 feet. The bushes I wanted shaped were only about 15 feet. He said that I didn't warn them of an invisible fence so they were not paying. They showed up to do the work at 11 and I had to leave. I returned at 2 and they were gone. There were 2 guys but only one was working. I had bushes that I wanted shaped and nobody got on a ladder to do the top. They still look ragged. I got an email saying they would come and look at any work they missed and they would go half with me on the fence repair. I didn't want to fight with them. They sent me a check for $45 and they have yet to come back out. The price was fair but it wasn't clear because there was just one guy and a supervisor. The price was average. The work they did was fine and they cleaned up the mess. It wasn't a big deal because I have a ravine so they didn't have to haul things away. They did the letter of the law and the minimum.

I bought the big deal on March 14th. Made an appointment for them to come out on April 5th and assess what needed to be done. This is when he told me that spending the time on weed pulling would not be to my advantage for this coupon bought. But they could trim some of the shrubs. I had not heard anything after a couple of weeks so started pulling some of the weeds and dug up a daylilly that had gone awry that we had discussed removing. I called late April to find out when we would be on the list for this job. They told me I was on their rotation scheduled for May 1st. I asked if I needed to be home and they said no, it'd be my preference. I kinda wished that I did. I do need some work done on my landscaping and will be looking for professional help, but they did nothing to make me want to use them again, so this is the only reason I marked No for using them again. Trust me, I rented those machines before, they are "back breakers" and he did the whole thing, he came out there, I called them, he came within a week, did a great job. I was very happy and our lawn was great. I highly recommend him. I worked with all the time and I felt very comfortable. They came when I was out at work but the gentle i talked to was very professional over the phone and very responsive. I sure would recommend them to several people.

Initially had some problems scheduling date to have work down. Service provider normally doesn't do work on the southside where I live. Good news is by working with Angies List and the PropertyPros we were able to schedule a date for work to be completed. Property Pros made it clear from the start they would either find someone to do the work or get us a refund of our money. I thought the problem was handled professionally and will minimal fuss. When Cody showed up to do the work, he worked steadily for more than 6 hours. The work was done well and I had no complaints.

Nothing has been done. Today, the manager, Keith, left a message that said May 21st was the soonest they could be here, since their business was a 'first come, first served, service. Mind you, I purchased this 'Deal' on March 16 of this year, over two months ago from the purchase date to the projected date that this company plans to begin their work on my property.

Ornimental grasses needed to be cut back, general claeanup of flower beds. Cleanup after cutting grasses was poor. Grass was everywhere on the lawn, my neighbor's lawn, in flower beds. Some flowers we not cut back. I did not think they did as good of job as last time and will not use them again. Last time, they did a lot more work than this time.

It went really well. I went to work that afternoon and when I came back a couple hours later the work was all done. They were quick and efficient. It was an amazing difference from when I left for work and when I came back from work. I would highly recommend them. They were honest and prompt.

They responded on very timely basis to provide an estimate. Work was then completed, again in very timely manner. Workers were polite, worked quickly, hauled away all trimmings and as I said earlier, my yard looks great.

He came out wednesday and a couple things came up (wanted to do yard work as decribed and I wanted to have a tree taken down) and he said he would have someone out today 4/5/2013. He emailed me a contract and we agreed upon extra work that I would pay cash for. It was a verbal agreement at this point that he would be there today. He texted me this morning at 8:30am and asked for a picture of the tree, and said they had to move me back because they couldnt get ahold of me last night. I was scheduled for the first stop but was switched to the second stop which was after 1:00pm and they never showed up. It's now 3:30pm and he still hasnt called me. I gave them a call and he said he had concerns about taking the tree down and he wanted to do both jobs at the same time, he felt that's what I wanted but he never asked me. I'm frustrated that he didnt contact and tell me about this delay. I had to reschedule some appointments waiting for him to call or show up. I asked why they wouldnt just come out and do the yard work but he said its too late now to do it. I did tell him I wanted a refund of the money. There was no follow through whatsoever, there was no phone follow through to keep me in the loop of what the situations are.

We were happy with the results, and thrilled we didn't have to rake leaves!! It was our first time using a leaf removal service, but won't be the last.

I would use this company, but I don't understand what happened. It is curious to me that no follow-up contact was made on their part.

I purchased the big deal for "$50 for Complete Landscape Design & Consultation". I am still unsure regarding what I even paid for, and it certainly was not complete. Here are the facts: August 27, 2012: A representative came to our house and talked to my husband about our plans for the back yard. My husband inquired regarding what the complete design/consult included, and whether it included a sketch. The rep indicated that he was not sure about a sketch, but would get back to him. While much of the conversation was regarding long term plans for the yard, my husband indicated that he'd like a quote in the short tem for aerating, seeding and leveling the yard. My husband said there was no rush on the overall plan, but was very explicit that the aerating and seeding had a clear timeline. Given the time of the year, it needed to be done relatively soon. The sensitivity regarding time I think would be obvious for any landscaping professional; yet I will readily admit I am not a landscaping professional and therefore maybe my assumptions are wrong? My husband attempted to contact the company via phone and email multiple times over the next 6 weeks or so.... probably not TOO strenuously, but there were at least 2 phone calls and prob 2-3 emails. October 10, 2012 (approx a month and a half later): Someone finally responds with a bid via e-mail. For the leveling, seeding, aerating, their bid came in at $1200. In addition they quoted us $500 for a design artist to hand-sketch a design for the back yard. We ended up getting other quotes for this portion of the work from another company because of unresponsiveness to our communications and the time sensitivity. Other quotes were around $500 for the same work, so we ended up having another company do the work. My husband and I were disappointed with the services provided for the Angie's List Big Deal. We were given an estimate for the $50 deal and nothing else. An estimate is something most professionals will provide for free. In addition, the company was unresponsive for weeks and did not respond to queries. When confronted with our dissatisfaction, the company told us that there was an issue with the sketch and that Angie's list had asked them to clarify what their deal included, and that this delayed their response - while this seems fair, I don't think that should not have affected the quote on the aerating/leveling/seeding. A quote for this seems to be pretty basic, and something we should have had a quote for pretty quickly. The other companies we worked with were able give an approximate quote verbally on the spot and a more exact one within a day or two. In the end, regardless of the urgency my husband indicated for the situation originally with regards to the larger plans, I think it's bad business to ignore a customer for 6 weeks. The representative that emailed us in October apologized, which I appreciated. However, when it comes to overall review, I would be remiss not to include our overall experience.
