Christian came out to inspect our home to be. When we arrived Christian was already there set up and ready to go. I appreciated his cleanliness and business attire right off the bat! He was extremely friendly and informative from the start. Christian explained what to expect with a home inspection and what could possibly happen after the home inspection due to weather or settling of the home. I was able to understand everything that he talked about while we did a tour of the entire home and grounds. I really appreciated when he went into detail about how to service certain parts of the home. Not once did I feel like I couldn't ask him a question and get a response that I could actually understand. At the time of the inspection Christian provided us with a quick summary of the home and went over all the big items. Later that evening we received a full home inspection report via email. The report was very easy to read and he even wrote notes (suggestions) on different household items that should get serviced every year. Since I am a first time home buyer these little details made me very happy!

Christian does incredible work! He was extremely thorough and extremely helpful in explaining details. Also very timely and punctual - got the detailed report back immediately and made the whole process a smooth one. I would recommend him (and have) to everyone I know needing a home inspection!

The day we called Iron Gate they were able to gain access to the house and set up the radon test, so we would have the results in time for the final report. Christian showed up a few minutes early and immediately went to work. He was very thorough and offered great insight about the home all with a great sense of humor. His report was invaluable and we were able to get most of the necessary repairs done at the seller's expense.

Christian arrived several minutes before I did. The lock box wasn't open but he made arrangements to get us in. He spent well over the estimated three hours inspecting the house and taking many pictures. By the end of the day we'd received a very detailed report that was very valuable in asking for significant reductions in the home price.

Christian had already started when I arrived 10 minutes early at the property. He worked very efficiently, filling in the inspection report and uploading pictures after each major component he had looked at. He explained the issues on the pictures since I was unable to follow him every step throughout the process (due to a little baby). When in tow, he pointed out details, explained what's wrong, indicating a potential source/reason and even referred professionals to fix the problem. Christian was very professional and well equipped with handy tools. He made sure he left no trace of accessing the crawl spaces even though it was super messy. He discovered a couple things that I had not seen even though this was not my first inspection. In addition, he was very up beat and amicable. As for the radon test, he outsources it to Bruce who sets and collects the tests for Irongate. I am very pleased so far. The inspection report will be emailed tonight (same day as inspection), however, my realtor provided me with a sample report beforehand so I know what to expect.

Christian is very technical in his explanations, so we had to ask him to re-explain himself once or twice. This experience was excellent - we would definitely hire Christian again, and would refer our friends and family to him as well.

Christian did a very good job. He explained what he was doing through every step of the process and gave us suggestions for improving our home as well as what we needed to fix prior to a purchase. I didn't really shop around for home inspection prices, so I declined to comment on whether his price was fair or not. I assume it was.

This was the second time I'd worked with Christian; he had inspected another property several weeks prior, for a purchase that didn't work out. In both cases, he was thorough, good-humored, and offered meaningful perspective in terms of issues that would be immediate problems, problems within a year or so, and things to watch for possible deterioration. The final report contained plenty of pictures and commentary, so even on pages that detailed multiple items, it was easy to keep everything straight. It's a potentially stressful situation to find problems with a property, but finding them is the point of an inspection... and Christian is very skilled at finding them. When I need to do it again, I'll be calling Iron Gate.

The inspection went incredibly well. Christian showed up a few minutes early and got right to work. Each time something came up, he was quick to explain the likely cause and a recommended fix. He found things I would have never seen, like a dent in the water heater. He explained that it was working fine now, but that I should monitor it for leaks. He prepared the report on the spot and emailed it to my realtor and me. I couldn't have asked for a better, more thorough experience.
