Simply, the single most unprofessional encounter I've had with any business on Angie's list. The owner was rude, unpleasant and unprofessional throughout the process. The phone call to set the appointment was painful. Once here, the owner took measurements, notes and made drawings. Then when questioned about why he didn't like one of our ideas, he abruptly said he was a licensed Landscape Architect, that he's been in business too long to "sugar-coat" things, that what we wanted couldn't be done period and that he couldn't help us at any further and walked away. Truly weird.

Our 11-year-old landscaping was starting to look ratty, so I contacted Fred and he prepared an estimate for removing, replacing and pruning our landscaping. I had a list of questions and he patiently addressed each one. He can be a little gruff, but he will tell you the truth, which is what I want. He made some excellent suggestions on how to improve our landscape overall. The guys he sent to do the work were courteous and worked diligently. The whole process was very easy, including going to the nursery to choose replacement trees. Fred knows what he is talking about. I intend to use them again next year to expand our current landscaping.

My husband said they were very unprofessional. They came by to do the estimate and spoke over the phone while the man was in the yard, but they never got back to my husband with an estimate. My husband called them back four to six weeks later. They said the price could depend. They said they we get rid of everything we have (rather than do clean-up and a few shrubbery, we should get rid of all the existing landscaping and re-do everything), and that this job is not the type of job they do. The man that my husband spoke with was rude. We will not give them any future business.

We were pleased with their prompt response to our request for a proposal; however, we were very surprised to see that their quote was almost $4,000 higher than two other contractors for the exact same products. Ultimately, this is why we did not choose this landscaper.

They performed everything they promised to, on time.

THE WALKWAY HAS DISINTEGRATED. I FOUND OUT FROM A STONE DEALER THAT IT WAS NOT INSTALLED PROPERLY. MANY OF THE PERENNIALS HAVE NOT SURVIVED (NOT APPROPRIATE FOR THE SITE) AND THE PERGOLA IS FALLING APART. WE DID WITHHOLD FINAL $1,000 UNTIL REMEDIED. THE REMEDY OFFERED WAS A COATING TO THE STONE, WHICH SERVED TO RETAIN WATER AND EXACERBATE THE PROBLEM. WE WILL HAVE TO HAVE THE WHOLE WALKWAY DUG OUT AND REDONE.

WE THINK THEIR PRICES FOR THE PRODUCTS ARE GREAT, AND THEIR PLANTING FEES ARE VERY REASONABLE (1/2 OF THE PRODUCT PRICE). WHEN THEY PLANT THE TREE, THEY BRING ENRICHED SOIL AND MULCH TO HELP THE TREES GET A BETTER START IN LIFE - CRITICAL IN OUR AREA THAT HAS 100% CLAY TO WORK WITH INSTEAD OF REAL DIRT! THEY WERE GREAT TO WORK WITH AND WE JUST PURCHASED 3 MORE TREES. IN THE PROCESS OF PLANTING THESE 3 TREES, WE ASKED THEM TO MOVE A SMALL OAK TREE THAT OUR BUILDER PLANTED A YEAR AGO. THEY ADVISED US THAT THIS IS NOT A GOOD TIME OF YEAR TO TRANSPLANT A YOUNG OAK. WE SAID IF IT DIES WE ARE OK WITH THAT. BUT TO HELP THE OAK SURVIVE THEY ASKED US TO WATER IT HEAVILY AND THEN THEY CAME AND SPRAYED IT WITH AN 'ANTI-WILT' PRODUCT ON THE TREE A COUPLE DAYS BEFORE THE TRANSPLANT. AGAIN A VERY REASONABLE FEE FOR THIS SERVICE IS BEING CHARGED.

EASY TO WORK WITH AND DID WHAT THEY SAID THEY WOULD DO.

THERE WAS NO DELIVERY FEE SINCE WE WERE SO CLOSE. IT WAS $25 PER CUBIC YARD.

THEY DISCOUNT PRICES ON ALL PLANTS IN THE FALL.
