Description of Work: At this year's State Fair I spoke with a gentleman about vinyl siding for my home. We made an appointment. I saw him write my name and time on his calendar. I took off work to meet with him. I returned to work after two hours when no one had called or arrived. I called the number he'd given me and that didn't work either.

+ -1 moreMy overall experience with Bee was good. Bee offered a new solution to the problem. They now have a box that can be installed in the siding to allow the easy swap out of light fixtures. Bill ordered the part, installed it for free and even went ahead and put up the light for me. He offered further help at a phone call if I had further needs. I'm delighted with Bee's responsiveness to my concern and their willingness to offer a free solution to this problem.
Description of Work: We had Bee siding added to our house about three years ago. Ours is a brick home, but we had wooden siding on the front and eaves. They installed vertical siding and new larger vents on both ends and over the garage. Three years after the job, I needed to replace a front porch light fixture. When I removed the old fixture, I discovered they'd cut around the fixture and caulked it in when they installed the siding. I was left with a hole that didn't match my new light. While Bee was here giving me an estimate for window replacement due to hail damage, They offered possible solutions to the hole in the siding.

+ -1 moreNeed to leave brochures on products with customer as this is a really pricey project and customer's would like to take their time comparing estimates. Money does not grow on trees in my yard, so I try and make a well thought out decision. But the window industry does not want you to have that chance. Leave a written estimate.
Description of Work: Had Luke with Bee Windows come out and give me estimate to replace 7 old wooden windows. He did a nice job, not pushy, informed me about their company, product, different materials that windows are made of. I am sure he didn't really like that I didn't sign up for their product, but he was very nice about it. He didn't leave any brochures about their product just like none of the other companies would nor did he leave my an actual written est but he did email me a total. I liked their product and salesman, Luke. I just could not afford their windows. I would like to know what this stuff is about calling someone back at the office to see if they can give a better deal or not. Who are they actually kidding? If I coul have afforded their product, I probably would have gone with them. Salesman absolutely was not pushy. Very down to earth and friendly. Gave a good presentation.

+ -1 moreARRIVED AND INTRODUCED THEMSELVES, GOT RIGHT TO WORK NO NONSENCE. VERY WELL MANNERED WERE VERY EASY TO TALK TO, THEY WERE CLEAN APPEARANCE WAS VERY GOOD. I THINK OVER ALL THE INSTALLERS DID A VERY REMARKABLE JOB. COMPLETED WORK IN A TIMELY MANNER PRODUCT THEY INSTALLED ARE TO EXPENSIVE.
Description of Work: REMOVAL OF OLD WINDOWS, SCREENS ETC. INSTALLED NEW WINDOWS, CAULKED WINDOWS, CLEANED UP WORK AREAS INSIDE AND OUT, WASHED THE WINDOWS INSIDE AND OUT. MADE SURE WE WERE SATISFIED WITH THE WORK AND USAGE AND APPEARANCE BEFORE LEAVING, GIVING INSTRUCTION ON HOW TO WORK WINDOWS.

+ -1 moreWe had an extremely poor experience with Bee Window. We agreed to a short sales presentation by Bee Window after talking with a door-to-door canvasser. The appointment was to take approximately 45 minutes; but, instead it lasted 2 and a half hours (this seems to be the normal tactic for them). Although we hated the sales method, we agreed the product (Anderson Renewal windows) looked good, and so we signed a contract. Later that evening we checked Angie's List and the Better Business Bureau and realized our mistake. We cancelled the contract the following day. It took well over a month, and a call to the Better Business Bureau to get our deposit money back. We will never deal with Bee Window again.
Description of Work: No work was performed because we cancelled the contract the day after it was written. Contract cost would of been 7,800.

+ -1 moreFaebers, as a franchise for Renewal by Andersen, selling defective products that they are aware have leaked in prior installations. Basically, unresponsive to phone calls and letters because of numerous design defects. After coming out and seeing the water coming in to the carpet, their repair man stated that there are design flaws to these units. Hes had to go weekly to other peoples homes who have the same thing happen. Sept. of 2005, I had to purchase different windows for a lot of money, I had to hire 3 inspectors to check units, to make sure there was no mold or water damage. I have 3 letters substantiating water damage under windows. If I hadnt been on top of this by wringing out towels after rain, it wouldve been worse. Because of unwillingness to cooperate, I had to hire an attorney.
Description of Work: Installed three 9 sliding glass door units.

The problem I did have is they said they'd come but they didn't show up the initial time and they didn't call to let me know until after the fact. After this, they apologized and they had someone come out on a Saturday to complete the work and they did a good job.
