Faerber's Bee Window Inc

We were just beginning our research on replacement windows and made that clear to our sales person from the beginning. We were told to expect 90 minutes to get a price estimate. Instead we got 3 hours (yes, 3 HOURS!) of sales pitch. The last half hour we were presented with the estimate and pressured to sign that evening. We did like the product and agreed it was good quality. But the price ($13,000 for 10 windows, if we signed a contract that night) was way too high. Also, the price would increase significantly if we didn't sign right then. $14,500 to $16,000 if we waited a week or more. The high pressure sales job and length of the appointment was such a turn off we decided they lost the sale based on their approach. I find it disrespectful to the customer and insulting to think we'd fall under high pressure sales. Bee should re-evaluate their sales tactics.

They were on time, polite and professional. Cleaned up after themselves and addressed any concerns that came up.

The process of installing the windows ends up making a huge mess. They were so careful and meticulous with the clean-up that we couldn't even tell anything was ever disturbed. The sales person, Johnny Watts, was excellent and followed up with us to make sure everything went well.

Very well. Quality and service are excellent and fairly priced.

The people I dealt with face to face were great, however the only negative thing I have is their office staff sometimes are not always flexible.

Job 1: Very good. Clean-up was excellent quality of windows. Installation excellent. Job 2: The tearing out the old windows and installing the new Anderson windows went very well. The clean up was excellent and I would recommend them again. (The installers makes a big difference for the reputation for the company.)

Two installers arrived on time as promised. Workers were efficient, polite, and cleaned up after their installation all old materials from old door were removed as well as trimmed around door. They asked if we wanted new trim, we agreed so they put new trim on at no extra charge. Good work.

2 installers were on time as scheduled, cleaned gutters, then installed gutter cover protectors. We live in a heavily wooded area, his product will be treated here. Instsllation went smoothly, we look forward to not cleaning gutters any longer. Bee window does good work, and they stand behind.

It was great. I told the lady they sent out what I wanted, she gave me an estimate. They agreed to take care of the window alarm systems also, but they no longer offer this service. It was perfect.

They did an excellent job, got everything done quickly and were very courteous. They cleaned up after themselves well and I'd highly recommend them to everyone! Their warranties are lifetime and transferable.

Sales, installation, and quality of the product were all excellent. I would have them work in my home again anytime.

They did a real good job on installation and clean up. They are a higher end priced company but you get quality product and craftsmanship for the price.

They did a great job, good clean up. The sales people that came out, were helpful and knowledgeable.

Called to have an estimate for windows. I told them that my main concern was price and how quickly the work could be done. They would not even do an estimate because I told them I had 30 minutes and my wife would not be able to make it. A sales pitch is the least of my concerns. They told me they are required to give a 90 minute presentation and my wife must be there. It was just not possible to have that happen. The company's inability to adapt to a given situation was sad. Just to let BEE know it took me 90 seconds to measure the window - not 90 minutes!

The actual installation went well and we love the Anderson windows. The other details of returning phone calls, scheduling, etc. were not as good.

Overall, very good. Delayed due to weather, but once started, they finished within the time frame given. Only problem was they forgot to come back and finish some detail work. I had to call and ask about it, but once I did, they promptly came and finished it.

It was a horrible and intimidating experience. I signed a contact and received approval with Bee on 8/21/2005 and gave them a down payment of $10,000. It took them until 11/16/2005 to install the windows. During that time the sales rep contacted me 3 additional times to sign paperwork that was new. Approx.. 30 days after the installation is when Bee's financial office began to call about a payment. They did not have record of me signing a contract and did not have the terms of my agreement. I told them to ask my Bee rep for copies. They said they did not want to bother her because she was out selling. I told them I would look for my paperwork. The financial manager called continuously over a three week period and I felt so stressed as if I had done something wrong. He finally admitted, after I kept questioning, that the contract had been accidentally shredded. Then he sent someone to my house with a new contract to sign with new terms that we were to agree on. I refused to sign.

High pressure sales man talked us into slider windows for the price. When I went to look at other houses I decided I did not like that look and changed the order to double hung windows. The installer came out and did the work in one day and did a nice job. The windows have a life time guarantee and look very nice.

This is the second sunroom that they have built for us. The finish product is good, however they were slower this time than the first time. The worked very few full days, therefore what should have taken 1 week, took 2 weeks. We are, however, satisfied with the final product.

OK. Way too detailed for what we were looking for. Our garage window needed replaced, $1200. Maybe OK for the living room, but the garage? Sales person took too long given the situation at home, needed to feed kids dinner.

Seems like Bee has a standard way of selling windows. You have to call 2-3 times to get an appointment. They called at 7 pm at my work number to confirm the first appointment and did not show up for the 2nd appointment. They do a two hour presentation and then offer you a choice that is astronomically high (24K for 10 windows and 2 new doors), and then offer you another price that is only good that day. Everyone knows, if Bee wanted your business, they could give you the better price quote good for several days. That is standard in any sales negotiation. I guess as long as they have the exclusive on Andersen Renewal windows, they will be able to get away with these tactics. We went with another Angie's Super Award winner, decided to keep the existing windows. So Bee missed out on the sales of the two doors and shutters, about 3000 dollars total. Better pricing, about 60% less for the french doors, comparable products.

They were professional throughout their entire process. Scott Lowry was very good at explaining the differences in the windows themselves and helped her with determine ways to minimize costs like using sliders instead of multiple double hung windows. The installation crew was thorough and did a good job installing the windows. They were delayed slightly from arriving when they planned but they called ahead, explained the delay and met the new timetable.

Very unresponsive. Had problems getting an initial appointment via their web site Once I got an appointment they cancelled three times. I don't believe they want my business.

The estimate/salespitch/lecture was much too long (three hours -twice as long as we were told it would be). The installed product was flawed in two senses: 1) The exterior wrap was not done according to the agreed upon specs. (Later, they happily repaired this. See below for more) 2) The interior 'seams' between the moving sash and the stationary installed frames are noticeably uneven. This was not rectified; we were told this is normal; they did, however, try their best to help. It took some effort (several phone calls) to get them back out here. But aside from that, everyone was friendly and professional. So far, I can't say that these windows are worth $1000/each. I expect a LOT when I pay a lot, and this product and the quality with which it was installed is not worth what I paid (and I negotiated the cost down from around $4200). We have five more windows to do next season, and I am sure there are more reasonably priced companies that can provide same/better quality.

A bit pricey, but after getting the windows, watching the installation process and admiring the results, it was worth it. Our sales person (J.J. Wible) was very knowledgeable and the installation manager (Doyle) came by to double check the measurements before the windows were ordered. The windows were installed when promised. The installation team was very experienced and paid lots of attention to detail, especially to ensure a perfect fit of the window in the opening and making sure the angles of the inside trim moulding were exact. They also made sure the width of the trim moulding slightly exceeded the old trim width so that I didn't have to paint any of my walls around the new windows. Finally, on the outside, it looked like they had never been here: no trash, no damage to my bushes and no oil spots in the driveway. Excellent job!
