Faerber's Bee Window Inc

This was the first time I had used their services. It went alright and I had no problems with them. They were on time, got the work done in a timely manner and cleaned up afterwards.

Half of them had a broken seal or were bad. If your changing half of them I figured I might as well change all of them. The instillation went very well. I was not impressed with their sales technique. They came out to give me a bid and they basically said if you want the discount I had to sign that day. I went ahead and signed with them. I revoked my contract with them. They called me back and negotiated with me to re-sign. I didn't re-sign with them until much later after I had looked at other vendors. To stain the windows the cost to me was excessive. I decided to go ahead and stain them anyways myself. I wanted to stain them ahead of time so I wouldn't get stain on the house or walls. That's were I got a lot of resistance prior to installation. They did finally agree.

They were superb. I thought their cost was fair and the end result is very worth it. Because of cost restraints, we only did part of our home. They offered us a discount which was very nice. From our experience, they were the only place in town that would also stain the windows for us.

They were prompt and they were responsive to my needs.

They were perfect in matching the woodwork to what was already here.

My sales representative, Zach, came to my home one afternoon well prepared to tell me about his product, Renewal Windows by Anderson. In the course of conversation, I brought up the topic about my own windows, that they didn't leak but they conducted the cold. So Zach went straight over to a local hardware store and bought a heat lamp. He put that lamp in front of his window and I held my hand on the other side. It was just warm. However, when he did the same with my window, I couldn't even hold my hand near the window. It was just that dramatic! Although my windows were double pane, there was little to prevent the conduction of heat (or cold). I think that's when I was sold. The other concern I had was the replacement window itself. My windows are stained rather than painted, so stain matching was a ten on a 1 to 10 scale. They had to match. I wanted replacement windows that didn't look like replacements. I had wood windows before and I wanted wood windows as replacements. I wanted a window that never needed the outside painted. I got it all! The stain match is great! It took a couple to tries, but perserverence paid off. My daughter walked in and didn't realize the work had been done! Anyway, the windows were ordered, the date set for installation and it all came to pass, just as scheduled. I think it was only a few weeks between ordering and scheduled installation. Jim, the lead carpenter, and his crew were on my door step at 8:30 AM both days (all this was done in TWO days!!) and they didn't leave until 6 or so in the evening. Clean up was always in progress with all scraps and waste removed daily. The outdoor plants were not damaged. Most of all, any concern, any question was addressed right there on the spot. The main supervisor was on site daily, just making sure that things were going well. I was pretty much amazed. There was no way that I thought that this job would be done in two days. It wasn't possible. Well, I was wrong. Not only was the product just what it promised, the company (Bee Window) was too! This product is pricey, but you get what you pay for. My husband and I had a great experience with this company. Would I recommend them? You betcha!

Call was made the first part of January with estimate on Jan 12 and a $75 dollar fee for giving the estimate that would be applied to services if done. Mr. Bacon did not know if product was in stock and was going to check and get back with me. Never heard I call back in March and it was thought that this was taken care of. Checked to see if siding came in yes but when they checked further it was wrong color. No one checked to see that once the product was in that work should be done. Constant calling to see the status of getting the siding. Given many excuses that they don't use it anymore, no one in city used it, didn't want to buy a whole pack. Finally a piece was found and time set up for work to be done April 30 but after the reminder call was made I got another call back that gutter truck was down. Had to make another date. However on April 30 I got a call that truck was working and could they come in between jobs but I wasn't home because they were not coming. Suppose to come May 5 in A.M. Had to call again after 10 to see if they were coming only to find out they are in a meeting. They wanted me to stay and approve work but they were advised again that I had an appointment and could not be there. Next day got a call after 7 A.M could they pick up check for balance. They came after 8 answered questions and got check. On May 8 I got a bill from them Post Market May 6 for the balance. My check cleared on May 7.

From beginning to end we were very impressed with Bee Window. Their presentation was far better than the other companies we had out. Their product was nice and fairly priced. During installation the crew was meticulous and careful not to disturb the inside of our home. I never once had a problem and when we put the house up for sale, their windows were a huge selling point. The warranty that comes from Bee Window's product is outstanding!

Installation was excellent and they were prompt.

The initial estimate was great. The company's representative was very helpful and honest. She let us know what would be best for our house and didn't "push" the most expensive product as other companies did. She even extended the discounted price for a few days so we could think about making the purchase. She measured each of the windows and then scheduled a time when another person could come and double-check her measurements. The windows were installed about three weeks later. The crew of three or four workers installed the windows in one day. However, they left a mess! There was caulking on the glass and woodwork from where their hands had become "gloppy". I also found a paper cup from a fast food chain on my office printer stand. Also, two of the windows did not shut properly. We reported these items to the initial representative, and all matters were resolved within two week's time to our satisfaction. Now, we have clean, beautiful windows and are very satisfied.

The representative was pleasant and on time. He looked at our windows, showed us a sample of their windows, and quoted us an estimate. Unlike previous reports on Angie's List, he was only at our home for about 40 minutes and did not pressure us at all. Bee Windows is a quality product, but the estimate may have been a little high compared to other companies. We have not gotten any other estimates, due to my husband potentially being out of work for a period of time in the near future due to job buyout.

The windows had rotten, so we had to get everything new. The service was excellent. It's pricey, but it's good quality and we got a lifetime warranty.

I have a mixed response. We didn't like the salesperson. I was impressed by how quickly the four-man crew replaced our 19 windows in less than a day. My immediate problems with the crew was lack of care around our landscaping. Several plants were destroyed. While removing one window, they pounded the wall so hard they knocked a miniatures display from the wall, damaging some of the items. Not so much as an apology was made. The real problem was with the caulking. I observed them while caulking the first window. Not being satisfied with the quality of the work, I showed them how to do it properly. They struggled with the remainder of the windows, but the lack of quality remained the same. They wanted me to sign a form stating the work was completed. I refused. They threatened to lien our home. Their threat didn't work. After several inspections by supervisors, having two crews rework the caulk and seven months later, I was finally somewhat satisfied with their work.

Horrible. The salesman was very pushy at the first visit & said I needed to sign that day for the "sale" price, which I never do. Later, we negotiated but I waited. I called back after couple months & he was very unresponsive. It took 2 wks before he called me. This last time he waited 7 days, with no apology. He said I should've called him again, putting the blame on me! He also did not follow through when I requested a referral list. I asked when I could expect it, he said "tomorrow by email". I never got it. I called the office also, but no one ever got back with me either. Previously, I had asked for a manager & left her a voice mail. Two weeks went by, no phone call. After I emailed corporate at Renewal by Andersen, I got a call from Bee Window. However, you can only buy Renewal windows in Indiana through Bee. They are located in Indianapolis so the only local contact is this one salesman. Not enough room here to tell other problems, such as price discrepancies. Est cost $2,200.

They came out on time and did a good job. The quality of the window was good, but they were able to come out and do the work exactly when they said they would to get the work completed (which was good because it was cold outside). They didn't leave any mess behind, even the shavings and sawdust, they vacuumed up off the ground outside. It now looks great. The end price ended up being less than what they gave me over the phone. It was a great experience. If you are considering to get your windows replaced, definitely consider this company.

How the error was made is a mystery. We are all sorry!

We've had them out twice before to do window work on our upstairs and downstairs windows. We really liked their quality. After the window job, we called them back to do our storm door, too. Obviously, we have a lot of faith in them. We will use them again in the future.

They only have 1 service man in the entire Indy area. We had to wait 6 weeks for the initial visit. He fixed the windows that were not working properly. In the process of fixing the screen the frame got bent and needed to be replaced. Tomorrow we are finally going to get the new screens. It has taken all summer (over 4 months since ordering) to get them!!
