Faerber's Bee Window Inc

Made inital contact with sales rep at State Fair. Had an in home estimate and made deposit 3 weeks later. Due to a heavy work load already scheduled, installation scheduled for Halloween. Installation postponed because window supplier went out of business. After finding a second manufacturer, installation rescheduled for November, 26. Although price was a bit more than expected and delay in installation was annoying, the product quality and the professionalism, efficiency and courteousness of installers more than made up for this. Was impressed and enjoyed being asked to speak to the owner, Pam Faeber, to communicate to her immediately after work was done if and how satisfied I was as to job execution and its completion.

Think I pretty much made it clear in the previous statement.

Sales representative was quick to follow up on my call for an estimate, new to company but professional. One downside, although we had used this company in the past, we were asked to sit through another demonstration/explanation of window construction and quality. Installers were professional. Follow up (by owner of the company via phone and subsequently by sales rep in person) was excellent. One window needed to be re-caulked on the inside. Company was very responsive.

I think they're excellent, I really do. Justin did the work and I was very impressed with how meticulous his workmanship was. They did more than what they said they were going to do and did it when they promised to do it.

The initial appointment was with an inexperienced man and generally a waste of time. But due to our positive experience with the company years ago, we persisted. The second salesman was much better and the process proceeded quickly from there. We did have a problem with the chosen color, but they did everything to help us decide. Things went well and we're very pleased with the final project.

It was incredibly slow! They had one guy doing it! He didn't work the full day. His boss came out once and then quit. It took two months. The final product is great. It doesn't leak or anything.

I had researched the kind of windows that they carried. I decided to go with them to do the job. They were very kind when I went to their office. They sales representative who talked to me showed me some things about their windows in the showroom. Then he also made an appointment to come to my place and talk with me. He was also very easy to contact when I had any questions or concerns. They had given me a fair price, I believe, because I feel that the windows were top of the line. I also wanted the windows to match the required specifications of my condominium. They were very prompt getting the windows ordered. The installers were here for two or three days and they were very prompt and neat about their work. They cleaned up the place to my satisfaction. They were generally very professional and courteous. They were also easy to work with. I also saw that the caulking didn't look smooth. They sent someone out and they explained to me that it is like that because, of the brick but, nothing was wrong with it.

The sales rep. didn't seem very interested in being there and came off arrogant about the product. Their price was twice as much as any other company. They have called numerous times to follow up and did seem open to bring the price down. But instead of playing the "bargaining game" I would have appreciated a more accurate price up front. I was also not a fan of being called on Saturday mornings for follow up.

The rep was prompt and on time. She answered all questions and demonstrated their products. She was courteous and professional. After the estimation interview the rep provided a quote. She also followed up several days later with a thank you card in the mail and a phone call several days after that. The price for the windows were about $14,000; our upper end budget was $10,000. We did not accept the proposal.

The representative that was sent to us was very pushy. We had to decide that moment if we wanted the siding at a discounted rate, or the cost would be significantly higher. For our 2500 sq. foot house (part of which is brick), it was going to cost $24,000 for siding! No way were we making a decision like that right there.

This was an uncomfortable situation because it was obvious he was only interested in making a sale. The original price he quoted was ridiculously expensive. After we said we wouldn't be able to pay that, he kept lowering the price. In the end, we went with a different company. He also tried to sell us other products that we didn't ask for, like siding and gutters.

We had them come out for an estimate on 12 windows. We did not have them do the job because it was going to be over 20,000 for this. We ended up getting this done elsewhere for $8000 and did NOT go with our lowest estimate. This shows the 20K is insane. I also talked to people that went with Bee and were not happy at all with the finished product (for what they paid should never be a problem!)...

Each day that I awake, I am thankful we replaced our old aluminum windows with Bee Window vinyl replacements over ten years ago. The company has been excellent in responding to any problems that did occur with the windows over the years that we have had them. It is a hassle free company. This is important to us when choosing a company for a home improvement project. A couple years after purchase we began to have a seal and condensation problem. The company was quick to come out and replace the defective unit. No hassle, no questions asked. This happened a few times, but the company was quick to respond. Later, after yet one more seal problem, being frustrated I emailed the owners of the company - George and Pam Faerber. The very next day, one day after Christmas, George Faerber called me personally to chat about our problem and the causes. My husband and I were stunned. George was truly sorry for the problems we were having with their product, very concerned. It did not end there! He was committed to making the customer happy and promptly arranged to correct our problem. A short time later, we had two bedroom windows replaced with two new upgraded windows they had just come out with. Note: The triple panes are marvelous. We hear no road sound at all with them. Amazing! I was moved to share this information with Angie's List, because in this day and age, it is almost unheard of to be able to quickly communicate with a human being about a purchase you have made. Once you have signed on the dotted line, and a company has your money, it is next to impossible to reach a human being or company rep. who genuinely cares about you or your problems after the purchase. Not so with Bee! It is a comfort to me to know they are always there to help you if you do have problems. When you buy Bee you buy the security that they will be there for you for years to come. To have the company owner's personally call you and talk out the situation and then follow through and take care of it hassle free, is a rare jewel in today's business world. Imagine, the replacement windows that we purchased over ten years ago, still look like new, function like new, save energy, help keep our rooms warm in the winter and cool in the summer, and still make us smile for we made the right choice with the Bee Company. Thank you, to Pam and George for the wonderful company they created and the personal touch they give to their customers. It renews my faith in business in America with honest people/owners that try hard to defy all the odds in today's economy by keeping promises they make on paper. It is a rarity. Keep up the good work, it is truly appreciated. A Michigan consumer.

I was very pleased. How many companies give you the cell phone number of the president of the company? And within 5 minutes I was talking to George Faerber. I went to a BEE WINDOW Open House last week where George came down to meet me, and we again discussed the windows. I could tell that he wants to do the best for each customer. If something is not right, he will make it right. I like his attitude of the customer comes first. What I like most is that I know that if a problem arises, that George will take care of it. I appreciate the good service that BEE WINDOW and its employees provide.

Ended up going with the other company.

It went really well. There was a little confusion on the porch, at first, with a miscalculation on the measuring, but they special ordered 2 smaller windows to fit. The siding crew came after the porch crew and did an excellent job. It took a lot of time for the siding project but did an excellent job. Very expensive but very labor intensive. There were 4 guys at any given point in time and they were putting in 12 and 13 hour days every day.

They are very efficient. They got the job done in a half day. We were very happy with their work. They showed up and got the job done as scheduled. They have a guy that comes to follow up and make sure the job got done properly.

The salesman was very professional. We wanted "Renewal by Andersen" windows, and they were the only local company that we found that carried them. After the engineer came out to take measurements, there was a lead time of a few weeks before installation because the windows had to be custom made. They accommodated our schedule and the work was done in one day. They left samples of the frame material so I could select an appropriate stain. There was follow-up by both the engineer and, after a few weeks to live with the windows, by the salesman. We will undoubtedly use Bee again when our other windows need to be replaced.

Everything went very well. I have an appointment for them to install a storm door.

Wall under window began deteriorating. Bee claimed their window not at fault. Rebuilt wall multiple times before another contractor found window installation problem. Bee still claims not their fault. Had to rebuild wall down to foundation by then. Bee pulled window; still claiming not their fault; put same window back with broken seals claiming seals were not broken. Window had lifetime warranty. Had to replace window last week; used McComb. Have been happy with them so far. Should have taken Bee to court; too busy earning a living.

They did a pretty good job. They did kind of push back the start time, but the quality of the work was good.

Lots of $$ considering the size of the home, but it's a dutch colonial revival with a split roof design and miles of sophet areas to cover. Very labor intensive, but the contractors made it look very nice. Flower beds are still kinda squashed, but they did catch most of the nails in the yard and driveway after they finished. There are a few anomalies with regards to product fit, alignment, etc. But the house was built in '29 and wasn't square to start with. Also, they had to remove the storm windows and then reinstall them after the siding was on. Would have been nice to do the windows first, but I'm too short on cash. It'll wait.

The windows Bee Window Inc installed are great, we have been really satisfied with them since the have been installed and haven't had any problems with them.

They did an outstanding job. Very professional and courteous. They also did a follow up call to make sure the job was done correctly.

It went well. The picture window had to be re-negotiated because of the configuration but that wasn't a big deal. The worked showed up about 7am and were done by 3pm. They cleaned up and I found little mess. My home looks great and feels much more comfortable ever since. I can't wait until the winter to actually be able to sit under my picture window without freezing. The product is expensive but hopefully worth it in comfort and resale.
