Faerber's Bee Window Inc

The guy they sent out to evaluate the job and give us a bid was late and seemingly clueless (high?). I complained, they sent out their top execs and offered a decent discount on the bid. However, the bid was still higher than any other by at least 30%. It was just not worth it.

I went in with the window and they had to measure and order the glass to be able to install it into the frame. They weren't returning phone calls initially. I then went in, and nobody was there to measure the window for me. I had to go without a window and it was cold out. I had to go back again to get it measured. Once the glass came-in, it turned out not to fit properly, so they had to re-measure everything. It was an ordeal to say the least.

Please do your due diligence and research other companies. Bee Window is great if you want to be lied to and pressured into things. My Wife and I wanted to replace a Patio door, we where interested in an Anderson Door. Bee sells these doors and because our home had Bee Windows (previous owner purchased), we thought we would get a quote. Lets just say, they where $2000.00 dollars more expensive then the net person, oh and the sales person lies to my face about what size door we needed telling me that only they could get the right size. They pretty much lost all credibility with me right there. PLEASE DO NOT USE!!!! Like I said earlier in the note, our home had Bee Windows in it when we bought it, we needed to replace one due to a break, they where less professional then any other company. It took a month for the glass, and then no one called like they said they would to tell me the glass had come in, I had to follow up. I am glad one person made a mistake and let me see how much they paid for the glass, $44.81 and they tried to charge me $150 for that, almost 300% profit!!!! oh an $40 for labor of all of 10 minutes to put it in the old sash. I laugh in there face and told them no way, they did lower the price, but they are there to take advantage of people

We called Bee Windows for an estimate and a representative came to our home. He was professional in his presentation with no pressure. The man who came to measure the windows was prompt. The two men who installed the windows were prompt, efficient and thorough. They left the house clean where they had worked. We highly recommend Bee Windows.

I had windows installed in 1992 and chose Bee Windows because of their reputation for quality. I had 3 doors replaced by them a couple of years ago, and the installers broke floor tile and did not caulk around the threshhold until I asked them to. They did not offer to repair the floor, but I had some extra floor tile which I asked them to put down and they did so, after my request. Also, one of the doors does not latch properly. In March of this year, I called to get a window repaired because the seal had broken and condensation was forming between the panes of glass. I had to pay a $75 trip charge at the time of the service call + labor of $40 when repair is made. The glass is free under the warranty, but nothing else. I called them in March to get this done and the earliest they could send someone out was May 14. Then--to get the repair done, I have to wait until July 2! This is not good customer service and I will not be using them again.

Not well. I also visited their booth at the State Fair. They were unable to provide any information for me.

It took us some time to get an estimate from them and the estimate was $12,000.

We decided that we wanted to do the sunroom so we through the basic steps to find a company to do this work. I had always had a good opinion of Bee Window so I did not go through many stages to research them. I decided to go forward with them and contacted them about doing some drawings for us. They agreed to do the drawings for us and even showed us a print of what their drawings looked like. We paid up front and they told us we would have our drawing in a week or so. I contacted them about the drawing and they kept giving us excuses and delays, excuses and delays, and when they finally provided a drawing it was completely unacceptable. Time continued to acrue and a month later they showed up a drawing that was just as bad as the first showing, if not worse, and that was that. I expected a professional drawing for the $500 that I paid. They were totally unreliable and I want to get the word out on this company. I want to stress that it is not simply the drawing that caused this job not to go forward. I started to get a very bad feeling about how the end product. They absolutely did not seem to have their act together on the project and it made me question how they do business. They are out of the picture for this job and we are back at ground zero, with a month invested and our time and money has been wasted. The company is saying that they will refund the money but that doesn't give me back the time.

They were very professional. We will consider using them in the future.

We are very pleased with it. There was always someone here, they were attentive, and they just did a really good job. Because of some other circumstances, we got a pretty good deal on it. When we worked with them, they seemed very professional and attentive to what we were trying to do.

Faeber Bee Window should be embarrassed. But before I go into that, BE WARNED - Bee is one of those window places where they have a sales script, it's about 9-zillion hours long, they don't really care if you tell them you have 30 minutes, try to stay at your house for as long as possible, hard sell you, try to offer you a discount before they leave, and do every kind of old-school sales trick you can think of. It's the window sales equivalent of a vacuum salesperson dumping dirt on your floor after you've said all you want to know is the price. What's worse is the guy left some of his props behind in my freezer (they do this whole thing where he asks to put something in the freezer so he can show you how metal conducts cold but THEIR technology doesn't get as cold). I got him so flustered because he was my 3rd (and last) window salesperson, and I was sick and tired of his sales pitch, that he forgot all about getting them back out to wow me with the thermal properties of their product. I kept them for a while, thinking they might call back to at least pick those up, but he never did. Sadly, I was fool enough to give them my real email address, and now I can't stop getting their spam emails even though I LONG LONG AGO decided to go with another window company, with whom I was entirely satisfied from start to finish. They have a target market for whom that sales pitch and the wow factor of it being FAERBER somehow means something. However, they really need to coach their salespeople on how to handle a variety of customers, how to get the delivery crisp, and how to stay away from the plaid-sports-coat, "have I got a deal for you," "if you sign tonight, I'll give you a zillion-percent-off" sales tactics.

The estimator was very professional and worked with us until we were able to determine what was right for us. The company was then able to schedule a convenient time for us that was after the holidays for the install. The installer did an excellent job, from the install to the finished product on two very difficult windows on a very cold day. Clean up was excellent, with nothing left to be done. They were also careful about our wood floors and the tracking of wet and dirt into the rooms by protecting the floors well.

They informed us that the windows we had was being dropped, so our lifetime warranty technically was nil so I'm not real impressed. That's not some place that I would deal with again. When I did contact about replacing windows, they said that we would have to upgrade into a window that was 3 times more and they would give us a reduction but the bottom line was we were going to owe more for what we paid for originally and that supposedly had a lifetime warranty. Therefore we were left pretty much high and dry. We were replacing windows for the second round and we would have fewer windows. We were going to owe 3 times more but with the valued customer discount and the refund of what we had originally paid, we were still going to owe more what we originally had a window. Everyone we've deal with more or less implied, when you give someone a lifetime warranty, it's not their fault that you discontinued or dropped that line. They usually try to accommodate you but that's not the case. They did not stand behind what they gave us as far as the lifetime warranty. I don?t think the product was top, I mean, we had the old iron half windows and half if it cranked out and half had a strain. Then you had your storm windows on the inside actually. It was phenomenal, it was like going from, and I don't know what the equivalent would be up to sliced bread. I mean it was very impressive and new but they didn't hold up exceptionally well. It took me I don?t know how many calls to get someone to even call back and respond. So customer service wasn?t impressive either. The two girls that were handling the phone, there were sweet and kind but they couldn't do squat. I had to deal with the owners, I guess it was. It took forever to get a response.

They were very careful with the furniture that was around and put the blinds back up for me. They were very polite and had us check everything before they left. They cleaned up inside and outside very well. Before they left, they had me talk to the owner of the company to let him know how everything was. This is a policy of theirs and it was much appreciated.

They were very prompt, cleaned up well and I like the windows.

They answered all of my questions. They did not waste my time with what I did not need to know. They were quick and efficient. They gave us a deal that we could not resist.

Their crew was great to work with. Everyone from sales, installation and customer service. I liked them all.

They did a very good job. It was their high-end expensive thing but it was really worth it. It fits into the house and looks like it is part of the house. I have hired them again.

Their products are quality products and they are the only people in Indiana who do the Andersen renewal windows. That is why we chose them and we didn't have a choice. I was a bit disappointed as I should have known this but I am not crazy about windows. I think this is true of all window replacement companies that you don't really get a good feel of what you will be getting cosmetically inside. They came back again because I saw one very large window in one room and I was disgusted. I thought they would do a good job finishing wise but I was disappointed or maybe I was misinformed about what I should have expected. Someone else used another company which did the similar thing and they had to redo the finishing as well. Perhaps I didn't get what they were saying to me initially. It is a wood composite so if you are painting around that, the paint doesn't fit with the composite. I can't wait till my home owner association does the outdoor painting. We were in an older condo and the painters we used insisted on using oil based paints for the woodwork. I don't know if that affected the problem or what. The paint wouldn't stick; so I wasn't sure of the problem. Faerber's calls me constantly to find out if their services are needed. We had everything replaced except one window. I like the windows and they are very nice but I should have been better informed. The windows have a coating on them that is not noticeable but it stops the sun rays from falling on the furniture. The product is good. The windows were of a high quality and it certainly made a difference installation wise. I wasn't here at the time of work but my husband was here. I might probably use them again if we need the master window replaced in future.

The fellow was professional and I thought he did a good job. I was a little bothered because they kept calling me back, so I didn't go with them. In addition, their price was substantially higher than everyone else.

They did a pretty good job. Their price was appropriate and they did good work. I was happy and would use them again.

The job was excellent. Workers were on time, and they were extremely good. They paid close attention to detail and made sure everything was done right. I could instantly tell the difference in my office since I work out of my home; once the windows were replaced the temperature was reduced by 3 degrees. I know this because I keep an indoor/outdoor temperature device on my desk and it was always so hot in my office, I used to have to use a ceiling fan every day, and that's in the winter (the room faces south). About a week after they completed the install I noticed one window that they forgot to caulk on one side, easy mistake to make. I called and they had someone out the next day to take care of it. We know our energy bills have been reduced, but now that we're at a year since installation, I'm going to check to see if our energy bill has been reduced by 49% as their advertising states. If it's not, I'm sure they will take care of it because they have done everything they said they would. I highly recommend Bee Windows, the Renewal by Anderson Windows are a little more money than other windows, but it's worth it in the end, not only in energy savings, but in the increase in the resale value of your house.

We signed up for their promotional offer, which was a big mistake. They had this thing where we could enter a contest. We gave them our email and contact information, and almost immediately after that, probably the very next morning, we got a phone call. From then on, they have just been calling us over and over again at random hours. We intend to do different projects on the house before we can get the windows replaced.

The work itself was great and we liked the product. The people who installed them were just fine and it went along just fine. I did not care for the initial contact that I had with the company. I went in and talked to them because they asked me to come in and talk to some of their people. They were extremely rigid about insisting that they do not come out to quote on the windows. They had sales person come out when both my husband and I were there. That was not going to work out and I said that probably we couldn?t work together in that case. They wouldn?t make this case as an exception and I thought that it was very offensive. So I talked to Pam Faerber on the phone about it and she asked me come in and talk to their people there and I did. They did a fine job with the installation, but I just was very put off by the initial contact that I had with the company. They are really a persistent company about wanting you to do more business. I got phone call after phone call from them. I talked to 3 different people and they didn?t seem to get information from the others that we weren?t going to do any more work at this time. I informed that we will call them back when we were ready. They were extremely aggressive in their follow up sales practice. The product was fine and the installation was fine. I very much liked the windows and the sales person. They are expensive.

I don?t have any problems with the work. It seems fine.I would use them again in the future if I wanted the same kind of windows.
