I don't understand why a company would want to not make something right. After all the mistakes that they have previously made, it made me feel that that they were only concerned about selling widows, not customer service. I will never ever do business with them in the future. I hope you you would do the same.
Description of Work: Over a year ago I signed up for to win free widows at festival. I did not win but they called, and since I needed new widows. I allowed them to give me a quote. The first time they were a no call no show. Then called me again 1 year later. They acted like this was the first time they have contacted me making no mention of the first appointment. The second time the Representative came 2 hours early, he apologized and said he could come back. However, requested to speak to a supervisor. We rescheduled and set up another appointment. The third Representative took over 1.5 hours to take measurements, and explain their programs & windows. This was on 6/18. Then I never heard from him or the company again. Since it was exactly one month later, I deiced to call the representative directly. He explained that he no longer works for the company, and he does not know what happened to my information. I then called bee widows back directly. They told me that he should have given me a quote on the spot. They could not find me in the system because they said my name was misspelled. After we worked that out, they had no record that anyone has been to my house. So they wanted to send out a fourth representative. I asked if there would any additional discounts because of all the trouble. They said no, and they said they have place that have a place that sell mismeasured widows to the pubic, and I could go look up there. Which is located about 3 hours away.

The siding looks great. Bill Bacon did a wonderful job putting up the siding. Our neighbor liked it so much he had his done by them, too. Bill had our 2 story home done in less than a week. The windows are wonderful. We enjoy the new bay window.

We were a little disappointed with the company. The salesperson came out and gave an estimate. They came and installed the windows. One of the windows was not the right size. It took 3 weeks for them to get the window in. In the meantime there was just plastic over the window. We feel like they should have expedited the process of getting the window in. There was also a threshold strip by door that was needed and he said that it was a common item and it wouldn’t take him long to get it. It took 3 weeks before he came back to put it in. I asked the salesman if he was going to come back at the end of the project to make everything was done right and he said he would, but we never saw him.

Extremely pleased with both services. Gutters were replaced on Friday and windows done Monday. Very quick work but everything was done well and left clean. Bill walked me around the house to check the gutters and explain everything they had done. Even went out to get wasp spray to take care of a nest they found while replacing the gutters. Rex and Andy are a terrific team replacing the windows. They replaced 7 windows in a very timely fashion, cleaned up as they worked and were very respectful of my cats who were a little skittish. Andy showed me how easy the new windows work and both answered all my questions. Contact was made at the completion of each job with the owner Pam to be sure I was satisfied with the work done. Highly recommend if you are looking for great customer service, good prices and excellent workmanship.

The two salesman who came were punctual. I believed they tried to sell me a lot more than what I needed. Their pricing was extraordinarily high.

We had a mixed bag on the install crew. One was experienced, the other had about 2 installs under his belt. Both seemed like nice guys and were polite. I was not pleased with the install for the following reasons: 1. Cuts to remove existing windows were evident after installation from the outside. Could see visible chipping of the siding and crooked lines oustide the frame of the new windows. Yes, this was caulked over, but I guess I expected it to look seamless against the siding. 2. The crew failed to tie up their equipment (ladder). A storm came thorugh and blew the ladder across the siding creating scuff marks. Other scuff marks were visible from where the crew failed to put protection (caps or bump out) on the end of the ladder to prevent damage to the siding during the install process. Scuff marks were visible under each window. 3. The crew left without showing me the completed install and making sure I was happy with it. Granted, they had been there 10.5 hours straight and it was dark when they left, but they could have walked me around to check out the install. 4. Post install, I called Bee's customer service to complain. After several days of no-response, I called our sales rep. Within a couple of hours I received a call from customer service. They dispatched an inspector after a few days to review my complaints. He took pictures and told me that one of the owners (Faebers) would be calling me to resolve the issue. I never heard from them - but after another week or two I did hear from customer service. They agreed to re-paint over the scuff marks on my siding. After comfirming someone would be out to take a paint sample, a week later I called back to check on the status of the paint job. I was told the sample had been taken and that they would be out to paint the next day. After several days and another phone call to discover that they had not already taken paint sample, someone came out and took a sample - from an area that was not part of the damaged section. They finally completed the touch up painting and we are considering the case closed. Overall we are pleased with the product - B35 with heat shield so far appear to be better than our previously installed Air Tite Windows (now out of business). Pricing seemed fair but I would pay a little more to have higher quality install. Maybe our expectations were too high, but we weren't told that minor cosmetic defects could occur from replacing our existing windows. Customer service could improve by ensuring follow through and clear communication across the team. In my estimation, they need some trained inspectors to go around and review installation for craftsmanship and continued education/training for their crews.

The process for immediate response and inspection a job not meeting customer expectations should be hours not days. The "inspector" referred to is our Installation Manager. He did bring this to my attention. The communication back to you, the homeowner should have been firm and solid dates with a call if we could not meet that date. Thank you for bringing these good points to our attention. The suggestions noted on care of the ladder are valid and should be part of standard process. When we make a mistake, we need to correct it and ensure it will not happen again. Your suggestions will be taken quite seriously. I contacted them and we scheduled to have someone come out to look at my windows this morning. I took the morning away from work, but no one came for the appointment. I contacted the office 20 minutes after the scheduled time, and was told by both the "customer service" rep & manager that because I didn't call them again to confirm, it was cancelled! The manager said that this is common practice. I would have contacted them if I was planning to not be available. My time is valuable and will now have to take more time from work to schedule another company for estimate.

I personally, as an owner called her Friday last week to apologize for wasting her time. She is correct. We did set her appointment. When we set an appointment we try to let the customer know that unless we talk to them the day or evening prior to the appointment we do not come to the home. This may be the wrong approach. BEE has found that often today people are so busy they forget an appointment. However, I would feel, like [removed member name] that she should not have to call us back if we left a message and as she pointed out, and, we had the chance to call her the morning of and make sure she was there. This was not handled as it should have been at BEE. I offer to [removed member name] to contact me personally and I will ensure we will come and offer her compensation for her time at the previous appointment. This is the same offer I called her with. There was a human error made that BEE will make every effort to correct going forward as well as in this case. As owner I am confident BEE offers the finest windows available, installed by full time professionals, and BEE stands behind what we sell. It went bad from the start. Initially the receptionist told me that they were not interested in doing business if my wife was not able to meet with the sales representative with me. Then when I mentioned Angies List, she quickly changed her tune and said she would make an exception. The salesman, Rick, and his trainee were on time but I couldn't get them to stop their high pressure sales routine. I had all my options written down for them and said repeatedly, that all I wanted was a price. Rick just couldn't grasp that and kept reverting to his pitch. Make no mistake, the is a high pressure sales pitch, complete with props and my favorite, the slow reveal of the final price starting with the retail price just to show how much they are "saving" you. No thanks. I can think for myself and do my own research. For the price they quoted, I could get Pella to come and install their windows now and then replace them in 10 years when Rick said they would all rot out and still have money left over!

My overall performance was fair at best. The follow up and getting answers is a huge problem especially when your spending $25,000.
Description of Work: Had entire house done with all new replacement windows. The sales rep was very professional in the beginning, not to pushy, follow up until we signed the contract. Never heard from him again after that. He promised us he would come out and inspect the job but never did. The install went as scheduled and the guys did a great job. Very clean polite and professional. We had a few mistakes and they took note and then after 4 months of calling we finally got our problem resolved. This is a good company but their follow up NEEDS a lot of attention to detail.

The only part that is frustrating with Bee is their telephone system. Complained to them for 2 years to correct - difficult to contact them - hang ups, voice mail issues. Contractor arrived on time, prepared the area and removed the windows reassuring that the area was clean. He installed one on the use.

It went alright. It was good. We had a minor problem but they were very responsive. They also did some windows; they didn’t explain really well that the windows they replaced were inserts. They were unique windows that we couldn’t do ourselves; it was a minor disappointment.

The whole process began in October, 2012. I met with the salesman, Matt Waters. Matt was polite, explained the product, was not pushy, and very helpful. The men who took the measurements were prompt and explained the type of windows that I needed for my condo. This was on Tuesday, Nov. 13th. Before they left, one of the men told me that the office would call me on the next Monday to schedule the date of installation. No one called that Monday. Another nine days passed without hearing from the scheduling person. Thanksgiving did occur in this time frame. At this point, I decided to call Matt to see if he could find out what was causing the delay. He said he would check into it. The next day, I finally was called. When I told the scheduling person that I was expecting a call much earlier, she informed me that she was right on schedule. On January 3, 2013, my windows, sills, and sliding glass door were installed. The workmen were polite, on task, and left the site clean. They did a very good job. I would use this company again.

They were outstanding and are good people. I was very pleased with the gentleman that came out for the estimate. The estimate was much better than other companies for the same amount of work, and they were very detailed and easy to work with. I highly recommend them.
Description of Work: They converted our screen porch into a closed porch. They wrapped all of the wood in metal, installed windows and a storm door, and also installed siding on the back of the house to match the side of the house.

We asked 3 companies to quote us prices. Despite asking for the "short summary", all 3, including Bee, required both my husband and I to be home, and took at least an hour to give their pitch. That didn't even include measuring the windows. We met with Bee last. We were clear with the Bee salesperson that we were not making a decision the night of the first presentation, but there was some pressure to do so, saying that the pricing would expire that night. We refused to commit that night. Within several weeks, we discussed it, did some other pricing and comparison shopping, and decided that the Renewal by Anderson windows that can only be purchased from Bee Windows in Indiana was by far the best quality and best looking window. As it turned out, our final deal also gave us the best value for our money as well. We met with the last salesman, Lance, who was very knowledgeable. He corrected several misstatements made by the first salesman (who readily confessed that this was very early (maybe a month?) into his employment). We always felt with both salesmen that they were not selling us snake oil, and that they were fairly transparent and honest. We also closed our deal on the last day of the month. My sense was that there are sales quotas, and being at the end of the month helped us get a price that we could live with. We did alot of negotiation. Part of the contract was that we would post a review on Angie's List. We paid half that night upon signing the contract. Within a couple weeks, someone came by to accurately and carefully measure for the windows. He was quick and prompt. It did take more than 9 weeks before the windows were ready to be installed. Which was longer than what we would have liked, but was consistent with their representations. It turned out the windows were ready about 10 days early, and they called us to see if we wanted to move up installation day. This happened twice. The first time, we couldn't, but the second time we did, and the windows were installed January 5. The 2 installers were very professional, neat (they had a shop vac and cleaned up fairly well after themselves), and worked with experience and speed. They were done in about 6 hours. I gave them a B for professionalism, because the quarter round trim they brought for the inside of the windows was the wrong color, so they couldn't finish the inside on the first visit. They rescheduled several days later with the right quarter round, but they did not have enough wood to complete one of the windows. So they had to come back yet a third time. The windows are gorgeous. The upgraded screens are worth every penny. They may have cost an extra $80 or $90 per window, but so worth it. You can't even see them there. I think that they were called TrueScene. We have already noticed a nice difference in the warmth in our rooms with these great windows. Friends and family have commented about how beautiful the windows are.
Description of Work: We looked at several window companies, as we were looking to replace all of the windows in our century old home. We were most interested in quality and price. We had Bee Window out twice, along with other window companies. We purchased 9 windows, 2 upstairs and 7 downstairs from them, including upgraded screens and 2 color (one inside and a different one outside) frames and installation. 8 of the 9 windows were very large, measuring nearly floor to ceiling and coming in at about 7 feet in height.

We contacted New Windows but we decided not to use their service. They were very persistent. They sent emails and texts to both my wife and I for 4-5 months. The other reason why we did not use them anymore was we bought a new house. We made that very clear but they just kept on calling. My wife said we will never use this company.

They did a great job on the install, BUT, a year later we noticed that the dead bolt was not catching and therefore it would not lock. I have been trying to reach them for six months. They do not return my calls and no one there (except for the receptionist) is ever in. I cant even get them to recommend someone to fix the lock.

Every customer has the home phone of me--the owner: 317 509 1781. We do this just in case a customer feels they are not getting the service they should have. I am sorry the customer did not call me, but I can assure him we will take care of his door. Service talked to him today and we will get to his home this week and care for his door. Getting the quote and the work done went very good. However after the windows have been in for a while we have had one pane crack and we can't get any response from Bee to come and repair. They won't even return our calls. The work was done at 304 Redwood Court in Kokomo.
