He was prompt, efficient, and very pleasant. The work was completed quickly and professionally. This company has been our sound and security company for over 11 years and has done an outstanding job. We are pleased with all aspects of their business.

I do not recommend Digital Sight and Sound (DSS).
Ray Rice and DSS came highly recommended by my overly-attentive designer. While the equipment installation went ok and the company was punctual, that?s the only good thing I can say. Their prices were ok, I guess
The outstanding customer service my designer told me Ray and DSS were known for never materialized.
Ray routinely did not answer my e-mails. His initial proposal was very sloppy and riddled with typos. Ray did not return my phone calls until I complained.
I only went with DSS because he was the choice of my interior designer who does not play well with others. They showed brief signs of being a worthwhile company, and I was optimistic. But I was disappointed overall -- and later on as they seemed to slump over and go back to their old ways of ignoring their customers. I would have stayed with DSS if they had done a better job. They were technically competent. But I am going back to my previous A/V provider because they do a better job of customer service. I do not understand why Ray Rice and DSS ignore their customers. Basic good business etiquette is not rocket science.
There are other A/V providers on this site and elsewhere. I recommend you go with a company other than DSS.

Ray, Derek and the rest of the team did a great job. We had to replace, modernize and upgrade our 12 year old home theatre, network and audio systems. Very professional. Very courteous. High integrity. Ray was recommended to me by a close friend. I in turn have recommended them to other friends. Great to work with. Gave us plenty of options. Based on competitive bids, Ray gave us better options and price was competitive. Service was excellent. Very enjoyable to work with this group of professionals.

I worked withRay Rice, the owner, on the estimate and scheduling. Nate was our tech for installation.
The estimate was a lot higher than I expected. However we agreed to continue to use their services because they knew the system and what needed added and what didn't. Also the quality of the original installation was very good.
Nate arrived on time for the initial assessment of what was needed to be done. He reviewed everything with us in detail. He was professional and knowledgeable. Nate also arrived on time for the re-nstallation and with the help of an assistant
completed the re-installation. He reviewed all with us and went over the remote. He is very good.
We found we were having difficulty remembering and using the system. I talked to Ray and he has scheduled Nate to come back and go over it with us again. We experienced no difficulty in arranging for Nate to return and are looking forward to seeing him tomorrow.
We are quite happy with their work and would not hesitate to work with them again.

They are much more responsive about fixing something with our system than our last provider was. Their price was definitely better. The price listed is what we pay per month.

Performed very well, UNTIL THE LAST stage of the project which is programming the equipment to function properly. Examples: The Home Theater has a Sony 400 Disc DVD Player and a RTI T2+ Universal LCD remote capable of custom programing basically anything. Digital Sight and Sound, DID NOT program the remote to display the available movie selections from DVD Player. The only thing we can see is, the number NOT the name of the DVD. When asked to correct the problem, they said we would have to purchase a $2,000.00 add-on piece of equipment. I read the Sony DVD Manual and the Manual for the T2+ remote and found that the solution is simple programming. PROGRAMMING THEY WERE CONTRACTED TO DO FROM THE START. Other issues remaining to be resolved, being about to select a CD by album name on the ELAN Touch Screen selector. Currently, we only have available numbers and Digital Sight and Sound suggested making a written list of all our CD's by number. Door bell doesn't work.
